"Brother?" I blurted out. I wasn't the only one stunned; even the trio stared at him like he'd lost his mind.

Lance only shrugged. "Half-brother."

That made even less sense. I'd never heard of having any family aside from my father. Not when my mother was alive. Not ever.

And now, after eighteen years, I suddenly have a half-brother?

"What, you don't believe me?" Lance snickered.

Why should I?

I narrowed my eyes at him, scoffing. "According to you, we're related. So why the hell did you send werewolf assassins after me and want to sell me to the slave market?"

I glared at the trio. They squirmed under my stare—three of the deadliest killers in the werewolf world, fidgeting like children caught stealing cookies. I should've found that satisfying. Instead, it only fueled my irritation.

My gaze snapped back to Lance.
