Chapter 124 - Welcome home

That wasn't reassuring. If anything, it left me even more confused. But I didn't get the chance to ask more questions because women suddenly swarmed us—six of them.

They wore grey hemp tunics layered with cloaks that bore faded symbols, cinched at the waist with thin leather belts. Three were barefoot, the others wore soft hide boots. Everything about them looked ancient—ritualistic even.

For the first time, I noticed something else too: the absence of snow. Unlike the Green Moon Pack, the ground here was bare and warm. This place was strange, but the people? Stranger.

Two of the women, both stunning, have dark brown hair, hazel eyes, oval faces, and full lips. They looked nearly identical. Sisters, maybe. Each looped an arm around Lance, their voices high and playful.

"Where did you go?" they whined in unison, tugging him away like children dragging their favorite toy.
