Chapter 18 - Banks and Banks Again

The morning sun streamed through the window, illuminating the bedside table.

The alarm clock blared, and Bai Ye's eyes, which had been barely open, snapped wide. He reached out a hand and silenced the ringing.

After hours of effort last night, his physique attribute had successfully reached 1.5. This also meant that all three of his core attributes had broken through the human limit.

Bai Ye's current basic stats were as follows:

Name: Bai Ye

Lifespan: 18/200 Strength: 1.5+0.2 Physique: 1.5+ Spirit: 1.5+ Charm: 1.4+ Unused Attribute Points: 0.3 ...

After his physique reached 1.5, his lifespan had also been extended to over 200 years. He could practically live through another American history.

As for other changes to his physique, Bai Ye noticed that after he finished his workout, the description of the long-term damage from the original number of workouts had completely disappeared from the explanation section. Only the information about how many reps would increase his physical fitness by 0.1 remained.

He got out of bed, gently moved his body, and then, after a simple wash, Bai Ye opened the refrigerator. He took out some food and began to chew slowly. Today, he still needed to go out and deal with that black money.

As for the school trip to the Osborn Group? He'd just skip it.

Studying? Screw that!

As his physical condition improved, Bai Ye began to realize he cared less and less about things other than power. Or rather, he was better at prioritizing. Everything else had to yield to pure violence.

"Huh." Bai Ye, who was eating, suddenly let out a small sound of surprise, and he curiously touched his stomach. A feeling of fullness was coming from his abdomen.

"Why is my appetite so small today?" Bai Ye was puzzled, looking at the unfinished food in his hand.

In the past few days, because of the daily strenuous training and his improved physique, his appetite had grown larger and larger each day. He often felt hungry, and he didn't want to suffer, so his daily food expenses were huge.

But at this moment, he felt his appetite was only half of what it was yesterday morning.

Is it because of the improved physique? The enhanced stomach is making better use of the food? Bai Ye could only guess.

After casually finishing the half-eaten food in front of him, Bai Ye put the remaining food in the refrigerator and prepared to go out.

Meanwhile, at nine in the morning, the students of Midtown High School boarded the school bus before the scheduled time.

"Where's Bai Ye? Bai Ye's not here again?" Teacher James looked at the students on the bus and, as expected, didn't see that conspicuous figure in the crowd. He turned his gaze towards Peter.

Peter Parker shook his head helplessly, indicating that he didn't know either.

James repeated himself, and after confirming that he really wasn't there, he was filled with helplessness towards this self-neglecting student. He said to the students on the bus, "Everyone, sit tight, we're going to Osborn Group."

After speaking, he signaled the driver, and the school bus slowly started, heading towards its destination.

Just as the bus was heading towards Osborn, Bai Ye had already arrived at the pile of rocks where he had hidden the funds. He easily moved the half-ton stone covering the cave, revealing the full amount of gold bars and bank notes inside. He opened the suitcase he had brought. Because he had plenty of time, Bai Ye picked and chose among the items. In the end, he only took a portion of the cash and gold before moving the stone back into place.

He put the cash into the suitcase, picked up the gold bars in his hands, and then suddenly exerted force with both hands.

Under the immense force, the several gold bars, originally marked as belonging to the bank, gradually deformed under Bai Ye's kneading, eventually forming a large, irregular ball.

After stuffing this gold ball into the briefcase filled with cash, Bai Ye picked it up and headed towards Lansher Bank in New York.

The reason he chose this bank was because anyone who had spent some time in the black and white circles of New York knew that the bank was backed by the mutant organization, the Brotherhood, and could be considered the Marvel version of the Continental Hotel.

Here, no one would check the source of your money. As long as you deposited the money in this bank and paid a 15% service fee, not long after, they would notify you that you had legitimately obtained the remaining 85% of the amount through a lottery win, gambling winnings, or something similar.

As for the dirty money deposited in the bank, it would of course disappear from the account after a period of time.

For a long time, the government had turned a blind eye to this bank because they were wary of the power of the terrifying Brotherhood. As long as they didn't go too far, they wouldn't be bothered.

Bai Ye walked into the bank with a normal expression, watching the three windows ahead with customers, and silently found the window with the fewest people to wait.

After a few minutes, it was finally Bai Ye's turn. He walked to the counter with the suitcase, placed it on the table, and whispered to the customer service representative, "Open an anonymous account for cleanup."

Saying this, the customer service representative in front of Bai Ye was first attracted by his appearance, and then immediately revealed a knowing smile. "Please provide any bank card number, and the remaining money will be transferred to that card within one to three business days."

Bai Ye nodded and was about to take out his bank card from his pocket, but his sensitive hearing picked up a large group of people rushing in outside, and then…

"Robbery! Everyone, get down immediately and don't move, or be careful, my gun might go off!" A rude voice resounded through the hall.

Different from the others' shock, Bai Ye was completely dumbfounded. This guy didn't know where he was? What kind of strength did he have, a Saiyan or Superman, to dare to rob here? And this was already the second bank robbery he had encountered in New York, right?

Completely bewildered, Bai Ye looked at the customer service representative in front of him and asked, "This is… a drill for your bank?"

Looking at the terrified face of the customer service lady, Bai Ye knew that he had probably encountered a hothead.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up, put your hands on your head and get down. What's in this box? Open it quickly." The robber behind him pressed his submachine gun against Bai Ye's back, his tone extremely overbearing.

He glanced at the surveillance cameras around the bank, which had obviously captured his entire entry process. Bai Ye could only put down his plan to directly kill these people, put his hands on his head, and obediently stepped aside, allowing the robber to open the suitcase.

Looking at a box of cash and a gold ball larger than an egg, the robber's eyes nearly popped out. He immediately shouted, "Boss, come take a look! This kid's loaded!"

Bai Ye rolled his eyes, showing no fear of being held hostage. He obediently walked out of the customer service platform and stood with the others, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.
