Chapter 35 - People's Constitutions Are Not the Same

Late at night, in the Manhattan district, a very old building constructed entirely of stone stood.

Inside this building, a powerfully built man with dark, gleaming skin and a black trench coat was tightly bound by steel. He glared at the pale-skinned man standing before him, his eyes filled with killing intent.

"Are you alright, Blade?" The man with cold, pale skin, devoid of any color, stood before Blade, surrounded by a crowd of people.

"I invited you before. If you had joined us and contributed two liters of your blood, the entire vampire race would have become great again because of the Blood God's arrival."

"Unfortunately, you refused. So now you can only crawl before me like a dog."

The man bent down, looking at Blade's kneeling posture, a smile on his face.

"Deacon, do you think that mere vampires can rule this world?"

Blade's face displayed a look of disdain. "Your so-called Blood God should first compete with those Mutants who are suppressed by humans."

"Mutants? Hahaha!" Deacon laughed, "Do you think I'm like those pure-blood old fogeys?"

"Humans can be turned into vampires, so Mutants naturally can too. The clash of genes carries a high risk of death, but I've already done the experiments and personally converted a Mutant vampire."

Deacon watched Blade's expression change and became even more pleased. "Once I transform into the Blood God, relying on the supreme bloodline, Mutants will be just another member of the vampire army, and humans will be nothing more than my food."

"Enjoy your last moments. When the full moon arrives, we will use the Daywalker's blood as a sacrifice to formally welcome the Blood God's arrival."

After Deacon finished speaking, he waved his hand slightly, and his subordinates stepped forward and dragged Blade into the dungeon to be imprisoned.

In the early morning, Bai Ye's face slowly retracted the Purple Mist, and he finished his practice and stood up.

He stretched out his hands and gently stretched them, immediately feeling the immense vitality surging from his muscles and bones.

My accelerated healing is keeping pace with my physical enhancements. Now, it takes longer to break down the skin, and it'll fully regenerate in just two hours.

Bai Ye thought to himself, turning his gaze toward the door. He could already hear footsteps approaching from outside.

With a creak, Smith pushed the door open, a look of excitement on his face.

He'd been unable to sleep all night, thrilled at the prospect of practicing martial arts today.

"You're here. That book in the corner is the Purple Mist Divine Skill. Once you've learned it, we can discuss the next steps," Bai Ye said, pointing to the manual in the corner.

"Is this the martial art you practice, Bai Ye?" Smith asked eagerly, walking over to the corner. He picked up the book, only to discover that the cover of the seemingly ancient text bore the logo of a brand-name notebook.

Feeling a bit strange, Smith flipped through the book.

The entire book looked like a student's study notes, with detailed English notes covering every key point. It also included hand-drawn illustrations, making it understandable for anyone with normal intelligence.

"Don't just stand there, hurry up and practice. Ask me if you don't understand something. Once you cultivate Internal Energy, I'll pass on my skills to you directly," Bai Ye urged.

Smith walked to the side and began to look through the secret manual Bai Ye had given him, starting to understand the concepts of Internal Energy, Dantian, and Meridians. His heart cried out that it was unscientific.

Bai Ye continued to train, occasionally answering Smith's questions.

Soon, with one teaching seriously and the other learning earnestly, it was already one o'clock in the afternoon before Smith could be considered to have truly entered the door, officially beginning to cultivate Internal Energy.

Then ten minutes… twenty minutes… an hour… two hours…

Just when Smith was beginning to doubt whether Internal Energy even existed, wondering if Bai Ye was deceiving him, a wisp of Internal Energy finally appeared, flowing within Smith's body.

"It's here, Bai! I can feel the Internal Energy described in the book!" Smith shouted excitedly, and then the faint Internal Energy within him disappeared with his movements.

But Smith wasn't discouraged; after all, this proved that Internal Energy did indeed exist. He just needed to meditate for another two hours, and wouldn't it reappear?

Looking at Smith's excited expression, Bai Ye's expression was somewhat strange as he muttered, "He really can cultivate it."

Smith, puzzled, asked from the side, "Bai, what did you say?"

"It's nothing, your Internal Energy got disrupted by your movements earlier. Just focus on practicing for another two hours," Bai Ye said.

"No problem," Smith said enthusiastically. The most important thing was getting started.

After Smith sat down again, Bai Ye shook his head slightly, a little puzzled.

Actually, he had some doubts about whether Smith could cultivate Internal Energy.

After all, the worlds were different, and so were the physiques. People from the Jin Yong martial arts world definitely didn't have Mutant genes, and people in Marvel shouldn't normally have Meridians for Internal Energy either.

The differences in human bodies between different worlds led to an infinite number of cultivation systems: Mutant genes, Chakra, Internal Energy, Acupoints, Haki, Cosmo, Limiters, Gene Locks, God's Domain, Magnetic Field Manipulation, and Spirit Controllers...

If each of these systems could interact with each other, just imagine trying to combine so many systems within the human body – it would probably explode.

The cultivation methods of each world were different, even completely contradictory. How could they all be compatible?

Think about it, if meridians really existed in the real world, they would have been discovered through dissection long ago. They wouldn't have waited until Bai Ye came along with his Purple Mist Divine Skill to show off.

Bai Ye's ability to cultivate might be due to his status as a chat group member and his infinitely strengthening physique, but why could Smith cultivate? He couldn't figure it out…

With this confusion, Bai Ye glanced back at Smith, who was still grinning foolishly, and silently stored the thought in his heart, no longer delving into it.

This wasn't something he, with his current power level of 1.9, should be concerning himself with.

Thinking about it was bound to yield no answer, so Bai Ye stopped dwelling on the matter and settled down to silently train.

Not long after, Peter came to the gym after school. Seeing Smith meditating diligently in the corner, he looked puzzled and asked, "Bai, who's this?"

"Oh, he's my fitness coach, and he's currently practicing martial arts. Do you want to train too?" Bai Ye asked.

He was planning to sell it eventually anyway, and the Purple Mist Divine Skill had a low ceiling and a slow effect. It posed no threat to him. As long as it wasn't spread on a large scale, there was no need to keep it a secret.

"Uh… martial arts? Like in the movies?"

"You could say that. You can try learning some when you rest. It won't hurt your body." Bai Ye said, gently putting down the iron weight and gazing towards the door.

Behind the door, someone was sneaking around, having been hiding there sneakily for a minute.
