Chapter 7 - The meeting

Mahnstin landed on Arcanum.

The dense forests of Arcanum stretched till the ends of vision range-the shivering leaves broke the silence as if whispering the mysteries in his ears.

Mahnstin paused.Something was wrong-he sensed a high surge of CE not on Acranum-but on the planet near by.

He pulsed his CE in eyes and saw-

A planet detonated in cosmic ash, leaving a glowing silhouette,as the energy faded.

And there was a figure floating at the epicentre of the explosion,unscrathed-

A blue-skinned figure.

Mahnstin recognised the figure and teleported without hesitation.

He reappeared in front of the blue-skinned figure.

It was Foxen.

Foxen didn't even flinch,he was lost in the remains of past and his eyes stared through the void of emptiness.

Mahnstin decided to break the silence.

Mahnstin: Why is the warlord of the Blecians destroying planets here ?

Foxen didn't reply-

He stared into Mahnstin's eyes, the dead gaze-still filled with emptiness.

Crack.

A sudden punch,fast as lightning.

Mahnstin barely tracked it before his jaw unhinged due to the strike.

Mahnstin: Not the talking type....are you ?

He retailed and landed a kick deep into Foxen's core. The blow sent him spiraling-teleporting out of instinct and crashing on the surface of Arcanum like a meteorite-forming a crater from impact.

Mahnstin followed him.

Foxen lay on his back, his lumber muttering the pain.He forced himself up.

Foxen: Your kicks aren't shallow....huh ?

Mahnstin wiped the blood on his face.

Mahnstin: Neither are your punches.

Foxen: So...what's the noble of Urmartians doing here ?

Mahnstin: Stuck in a cosmic reasearch. Before you burst open that planet.

Foxen struggled to stand, his bones grunt with each other.

Foxen: Are we done with exchanging blows....bingo of red planet ?

Mahnstin: You are the one that started it.Also mind explaining what happened on that planet ?

Foxen stared at the eye in his hand.

Foxen: Nothing happened.

Mahnstin stared at the eye in Foxen's hand-Neither of them uttered a word.

The silence was louder than that of the explosion.
