The roar of the airplane engine gradually diminished, finally coming to a stop beside a secluded coastline in ancient Cuba. The morning light was faint, waves crashed against the reefs, and the air was filled with the salty, damp scent of the sea breeze.
The cabin door slowly opened. Dreykov stood on the tarmac, a gentle smile on his face, as if he were an old friend reunited after a long separation. He spread his arms, warmly welcoming Alexei.
"Alexei! My old friend!" Dreykov's voice was hoarse, as if carrying some kind of captivating power, "Welcome home."
Alexei was stunned for a moment, but quickly showed a simple and honest smile, and hugged Dreykov back forcefully: "Comrade Dreykov! It's truly an honor for you to come and pick us up personally!"
Melina stood to the side, a perfect smile on her face, but her eyes were cold.
She gently nudged Natasha and Yelena, signaling them to get off the plane. The two little ones tightly clutched each other's hands, carefully walking down the gangway.
Natasha's gaze swept across her surroundings—a dozen Agents in black uniforms stood silently by the coast, their eyes sharp and indifferent, as if scrutinizing prey. Yelena shrank behind her sister, her small hand unconsciously gripping Natasha's clothes.
Dreykov released Alexei, turned to Melina, his smile still gentle: "Melina, the mission was excellently executed."
Melina nodded slightly, her voice calm: "All for the Red Room."
Dreykov nodded with satisfaction, then his gaze fell upon Natasha and Yelena.
The two little ones instantly froze.
Those eyes—deep, cold, as if they could see through to the deepest fears of one's heart. Natasha's breathing quickened slightly; she could feel Dreykov's gaze lingering on her, as if evaluating a weapon, not a child.
"Natasha, Yelena." Dreykov's voice was soft, yet it sent shivers down their spines, "Welcome to your... new home."
Yelena's lips trembled slightly, but she stubbornly didn't cry. Natasha, however, stared intently at Dreykov, a hint of alertness not belonging to her age flashing in her eyes.
Dreykov seemed to notice her reaction, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly: "Interesting children."
He turned to Melina, his tone casual: "Take them back to the Red Room. Training starts tomorrow."
Melina nodded, taking the hands of the two little ones: "Let's go, children."
Natasha and Yelena were led away, but Natasha couldn't help but look back—Dreykov was conversing in a low voice with Alexei, but his gaze, however, always faintly followed them.
—That was definitely not a benevolent gaze.
————
Natasha and Yelena were led away by Melina, Dreykov's gaze still faintly followed them until their figures disappeared into the black military truck by the coastline.
Chen Tian remained hidden in the plane's cargo hold, his breathing steady, but his eyes were as sharp as a blade.
"Master, aren't you going to act?" 2B's voice sounded in the summoning space, with a hint of urgency.
Chen Tian did not answer immediately.
His brain was working at high speed, countless possibilities colliding in his mind—
Save Natasha and Yelena? Of course, that was the initial goal. But now, he saw a bigger opportunity.
Destroy the Red Room? Dreykov was right in front of him; Madara's genjutsu could allow him to approach silently and behead him with one strike. But the Red Room would not collapse because of a leader's Death; it would only go underground, awaiting the next person in power.
Control the Red Room? This thought flashed through his mind and immediately took root.
—If he could take over, then the Red Room's vast intelligence network, Agent resources, and even those undiscovered "Black Widow" candidates would all become his strength.
"2B, what do you think... should we directly take over this place?" Chen Tian asked in a low voice.
2B was silent for a moment, then replied: "Master, the Red Room's system is complex, direct control will take time. But if you decide to do so, I will fully assist."
Chen Tian narrowed his eyes, tapping his fingers gently on his knee.
Dreykov had already turned and was walking with Alexei towards another black car. Melina had left with the two little ones, and the Agents by the coast also began to withdraw in an orderly fashion.
Opportunity was fleeting.
"Madara." Chen Tian called out in the mental link.
"My Lord." Madara responded.
"If I want Dreykov to 'voluntarily' hand over control of the Red Room, to what extent can your genjutsu achieve it?"
Madara's Sharingan flickered slightly in the summoning space.
"Everything, if you wish, everything can be done." Madara's voice carried a hint of coldness, "But genjutsu is genjutsu after all. If his will is firm, or if someone detects an anomaly, the plan might be exposed."
The corner of Chen Tian's mouth curved upwards.
"Then let him 'voluntarily'."
————
Ten minutes later, Dreykov's private car left the coast and drove along a winding mountain road towards his private plane.
Inside the car, Dreykov was flipping through the mission report submitted by Melina when suddenly, his gaze slightly froze.
Reflected in the car window was a pair of crimson eyes.
Sharingan.
Dreykov's fingers stiffened, his pupils suddenly constricted, but the next second, his expression returned to calm, as if nothing had happened.
Madara's genjutsu was weaving an invisible web, gradually eroding his mind.
"My Lord, the genjutsu is effective. Next, he is your toy." Madara's voice echoed in Chen Tian's mind.
Chen Tian stood in the shadows, watching the car drive away, a cold smile playing on his lips.
"Very good."
————
The door of Dreykov's private plane slowly closed, and the engine emitted a low hum. Chen Tian sat on the leather seat, his fingertips gently tapping the armrest, his gaze through the porthole, looking at the gradually receding coastline.
Madara stood beside him, his Sharingan slightly rotating, maintaining control over Dreykov's genjutsu.
Dreykov himself sat opposite, his expression calm, his eyes empty, like an exquisite puppet.
"My Lord, the genjutsu is stable." Madara whispered, "His consciousness has been completely suppressed. Now, you can give commands as you please."
Chen Tian nodded slightly, his gaze falling on Dreykov.
"Dreykov." He spoke, his voice calm but unquestionable.
Dreykov slowly raised his head, his eyes dull, but his tone remained steady: "Yes."
"First command—Natasha and Yelena, no training for now."
Dreykov nodded: "Understood."
"Second command—with the highest authority, seal their information; no one is allowed to contact them."
"Yes."
"Third command—take me to the Red Room's core database."
Dreykov's eyes flickered slightly, seemingly instinctively resisting this command, but Madara's Sharingan deepened abruptly, and the power of the genjutsu washed over his will like a tide.
Finally, he lowered his head: ".....As you command."
————
The plane landed at a secluded private airport on the outskirts of Budapest. This complex, known locally as the "Red Room," was cleverly hidden among the intricate buildings of Budapest's old town, appearing from the outside like an ordinary government office building, perfectly blending with the surrounding neoclassical architecture.
Dreykov walked ahead, Chen Tian and Madara followed closely. The three passed through an archway decorated with exquisite reliefs and entered a seemingly ordinary elevator. When Dreykov pressed the B3 button, Chen Tian noticed his fingerprint left an almost invisible phosphorescent trace on the button.
"Master," 2B's voice sounded in Chen Tian's mind, with a hint of warning, "The encryption system here is more advanced than S.H.I.E.L.D.'s of this era. Every corridor is filled with biometric scanners."
The elevator descended silently; these security measures were perfectly integrated into the daily security of the Budapest government building, so much so that even the local Police would not suspect anything.
"Can you crack it?" Chen Tian asked in his mind.
"I can try," 2B responded, "but the best way is to directly access their core computer."
The elevator stopped on the B3 floor, and when the doors opened, it revealed a corridor carpeted with traditional Hungarian patterns. Dreykov led them towards a room at the end, marked 'Archives,' where two guards dressed in Hungarian Police uniforms stood at the door.
"Comrade Dreykov," one of the guards said in Russian with a heavy Hungarian accent, "Today is not the day for routine inspection."
Dreykov offered a gentle smile: "Special mission, comrade. Orders from the Supreme Council."
The guard hesitated for a moment, then moved aside. Chen Tian noticed the guard's pupils slightly dilated—a sign of being hypnotized. It seemed the Red Room had even mentally controlled local government personnel.
When the heavy oak door closed behind them, Chen Tian discovered that this so-called "Archives" was actually a futuristic control center. Giant screens on the walls displayed real-time surveillance footage of all of Europe.
"Take me to the core database." Chen Tian commanded.
Dreykov nodded mechanically and walked towards a seemingly ordinary office desk in the center of the room. He pressed a hidden switch under the desk, and the floor slowly parted, revealing a spiral staircase descending downwards.
The spiral staircase extended downwards, as if it were a stairway to hell.
Chen Tian followed behind Dreykov, with Shadow transformed into an epaulet, pressed onto Chen Tian's collar.
Their footsteps were completely absorbed by the special material of the floor.
The air was filled with a faint smell of ozone, a characteristic scent of large computers in operation.
"Master," 2B's voice echoed in Chen Tian's mind, "The monitoring system has captured your image, but I am currently tampering with the footage in real-time.
However..."
"However what?"
"The Red Room's system uses a special encryption method; my modifications can currently only last for 72 hours.
After that, the original data will automatically restore."
Chen Tian narrowed his eyes.
72 hours, that was enough.
At the end of the staircase was a heavy alloy door, its biometric device flickering with a faint blue light.
Dreykov placed his palm on the scanning area, simultaneously aligning his right eye with the iris scanner.
"Identity confirmed, Comrade Dreykov," a mechanical female voice said in Russian, "Welcome to the Data Sanctuary."
The door slid open silently, revealing a circular space the size of a basketball court.
In the center stood a massive quantum computer, with countless optical fibers extending like blood vessels from the main unit to hundreds of terminals on the walls.
Dozens of technical personnel were working, but they all wore special headphones, completely unresponsive to the outside world.
"Brainwave disruptors," 2B immediately analyzed, "These people are in a semi-hypnotized state, focused only on the work at hand."
Dreykov led them through the busy technical personnel, walking directly towards the central control console.
A middle-aged woman with gold-rimmed glasses looked up and immediately stood up upon seeing Dreykov.
"Officer! We didn't receive notification of your visit..."
"Temporary inspection, Comrade Ivanova," Dreykov's voice was mechanical and steady, "Initiate highest authority protocol, codename 'Holly'."
Ivanova's expression instantly became blank, and her fingers tapped rapidly on the keyboard.
"Protocol confirmed.
The system will enter management mode in 30 seconds."
Chen Tian noticed a young technician beside the console who seemed to have sensed something unusual, secretly looking over.
Shadow's Sharingan rotated slightly, and the technician immediately lowered his head, continuing his work.
"My Lord," Shadow whispered, "Someone is resisting the brainwave interference."
Chen Tian nodded Keep calm.
The Red Room truly lived up to its reputation; even ordinary technicians possessed such willpower.
The main screen of the control console lit up, displaying a 3D holographic projection resembling the HYDRA logo.
"Master," 2B's voice suddenly became tense, "This isn't an ordinary Red Room system... this is a special system jointly developed by HYDRA and the Red Room!"
Chen Tian's pupils constricted slightly.
No wonder Dreykov was able to establish such a vast spy network during the Cold War; it turned out HYDRA was supporting him from behind.
"2B, can you completely control this system?"
"It requires physical contact with the core processor," 2B replied, "Don't worry, I will give it my all, Master."
Dreykov was already standing in front of the biometric terminal: "Please proceed with the final authorization."
Chen Tian looked at Shadow, who gave a nearly imperceptible nod.
The Sharingan's genjutsu was still working perfectly.
As Dreykov placed his palm on the terminal, Chen Tian silently stood in front of the control console, pretending to adjust his collar, but in reality, allowing 2B's nano-interface to make contact with the system.
"Initiating invasion..." 2B's voice echoed in Chen Tian's mind, filled with focus, "Firewall, first layer breached."
Chen Tian's fingers gently tapped the edge of the control console, seemingly nonchalant, but perfectly synchronized with 2B's invasion rhythm.
The nano-level interface established a connection with the system's core at a molecular level, and 2B's algorithms surged into this era's supercomputer like a tide.
"Second layer encryption cracked," 2B's voice carried a hint of excitement, "Establishing data mirror... 85%... 92%..."
"95%... 100%.... 2B has completely taken control of all Red Room data, including the Red Room's intelligent AI," 2B's voice reached Chen Tian's ears.
"Now the Red Room's 'Katyusha' is your servant, Master."
In an instant, all the lights in the entire control room went out.
Only the indicator lights on the main unit twinkled like stars.
"System update complete," a mechanical female voice sounded, "Highest authority has been transferred."
The lights came back on, and all the technical personnel put their headphones back on, resuming their work as if the power outage had never happened.
Ivanova blinked blankly, then sat back down as if nothing had happened.
Chen Tian gently stroked the control console, feeling the pulse of data flowing beneath his fingertips.
Now, this most powerful spy network of the Cold War era had become his private arsenal.
He summoned 2B, and 2B smiled at Chen Tian, because she saw the young man who, at Arbitrator Tower, had been full of vigor, describing his plans to Tony Stark and the Arbitrators.
"First command," he said softly, "Delete all abnormal records from the past 72 hours."
"Executed," 2B replied.
"Second command, remove all surveillance on Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova."
"Command issued."
"Third command..." Chen Tian looked at the blank-faced technicians, "Initiate 'Puppet Protocol', and let these lovely comrades... continue their usual work."
When he turned to leave, the control room had completely returned to 'normal'.
The afternoon sun in Budapest shone on the three of them.
Dreykov's expression returned to normal, as if he had never been controlled.
"Comrade Dreykov," Chen Tian whispered to 2B, and 2B translated in Russian in real-time, "Take Master to see the two children."
Dreykov nodded slightly: "Of course, they are in the special guardianship area."
A hint of cunning, which Chen Tian had deliberately preserved, flashed in his eyes, "Very promising seedlings."
Chen Tian looked at the cruise ships on the distant Danube River, and the smile on his lips deepened.
----
The door to the special guardianship area slid open silently.
Dreykov, with a faint smile, stood respectfully to the side, gesturing for Chen Tian and his group to enter.
Inside the room, Natasha was using breadcrumbs to spell out Morse code on the table, patiently teaching Yelena to recognize it.
Hearing the movement, she suddenly looked up, reflexively shielding her sister behind her—until she saw who it was.
"Yorha... Sister?" Yelena's voice trembled with disbelief.
2B's silver-white hair glowed softly in the light.
She knelt on one knee, her eyes flickering slightly, and opened her arms to the two children.
The next second, two small figures crashed into her embrace like cannonballs.
"I knew you'd come!" Natasha buried her face in 2B's neck, her voice muffled but filled with unprecedented relaxation.
Yelena was crying like a little cat, her small hands clutching 2B's combat uniform hem tightly.
Chen Tian stood in the center of the room, his gaze calmly sweeping across the surroundings.
Dante leaned lazily against the wall, Rebellion spinning like a windmill between his fingers; Vergil stood with his arms crossed, Yamato humming softly in its sheath; Shadow's Sharingan silently scanned, confirming the safety of every corner.
Dreykov stood to the side, his posture respectful, but his eyes slightly hollow—his consciousness was still firmly controlled by the genjutsu; at this moment, he was merely a puppet in Chen Tian's hands.
"Alright, little ones," Dante suddenly bent down closer, his red trench coat sweeping the ground, "Time to go with us; this place doesn't even have cola in the vending machine."
Yelena timidly looked up from 2B's embrace, then suddenly widened her eyes: "You... your sword is glowing!"
Vergil snorted, but the corners of his mouth turned up almost imperceptibly.
With a flick of his wrist, Yamato traced a brilliant blue arc in the air, precisely slicing open the ceiling's monitoring camera without damaging a single wire.
"Cool!" Natasha's eyes lit up, but then she looked warily at Dreykov, seemingly still uneasy about his presence.
Chen Tian noticed her vigilance and spoke calmly: "Don't be nervous, Natasha.
The Red Room is mine now."
Dreykov lowered his head slightly, his voice steady and mechanical: "Everything is at your command."
A flicker of surprise crossed Natasha's eyes, but soon, her gaze returned to 2B, and her tense shoulders finally relaxed slightly.
"So..." she whispered, "We can really leave here?"
2B gently stroked her hair, her voice soft and firm: "Yes.
From today on, no one can harm you again."
Chen Tian looked at Dreykov, his tone calm: "Arrange a vehicle to take them to the safe house."
Dreykov nodded: "Executing immediately."
Natasha and Yelena exchanged glances, their small hands tightly clasped together.
This time, they finally saw the dawn of freedom.
