Dominic's gaze sharpened. After dodging a scarlet beam that grazed past him, he said coldly, "The chance is here, Thor. This guy's power is starting to go out of control. Don't give him a chance to breathe."
Thor nodded heavily, lightning exploding all over his body. mjolnir spun in his hand like a furious vortex of thunder. He roared, suddenly swinging the hammer down at the ground. Lightning surged towards Malekith like a flood, attempting to pressure his movements with an overwhelming force. Malekith raised both hands, and scarlet energy poured from his body, colliding with the lightning. The resulting shockwave tore open the ground, sending gravel flying.
Dominic seized the opportunity, leaping up. Red light exploded in his eyes, and two scorching beams shot directly towards Malekith's chest. Malekith quickly sidestepped, the beams grazing his shoulder and leaving two twisted scorch marks in the air. He roared, swinging his arms horizontally. Scarlet energy blades, like two giant axes, cleaved down towards Dominic. Dominic stomped his foot, the ground cracking, and his figure instantly vanished, reappearing behind Malekith's side. He delivered an elbow strike fiercely against his spine.
Malekith grunted, scarlet energy instantly erupting and forcing Dominic back several steps. A twisted smile appeared on his face. He growled, using the power of the Reality Stone to condense a massive energy sphere in the air. The surface of the sphere was covered in distorted light and shadow and black cracks. He slammed the energy sphere heavily onto the ground. The energy Impact was like a volcanic eruption, directly pushing Dominic and Thor back.
"You think you can defeat me? Ignorance!" Malekith roared, his voice filled with madness and rage. His body began to tremble slightly, scarlet energy raging within him. Beneath the cracked skin on the surface, a deeper dark power seemed to be churning.
Thor gritted his teeth and roared in anger. The power of thunder erupted from his eyes, lightning leaping along every inch of muscle on his body. The arcs of electricity released by mjolnir tore through the air. He stared at Malekith and said in a low voice to Dominic, "His body can't hold out. We need to push him one more step. He will collapse."
A cold smile played on Dominic's lips, and the red light in his eyes flared again. His gaze pierced through Malekith's twisted body, seeing the location of the Reality Stone. The scarlet gem was deeply embedded in Malekith's chest cavity, tightly wrapped in scarlet energy.
"I'll take it," Dominic's voice was low and cold. He stomped his foot, the ground cracking again, and his figure transformed into a white lightning bolt charging towards Malekith. White arcs of light burned on his fists, each punch accompanied by a deafening sonic boom, directly striking Malekith's defenses.
Malekith frantically swung his scarlet energy blades. Each swing distorted the surrounding space, intercepting all of Dominic and Thor's attacks. His eyes were scarlet like fire. He roared, releasing a wave of destructive energy that temporarily forced the two back.
Dominic said in a low voice to Thor, "Block his attacks. I need a split second." Thor grunted heavily, gripping mjolnir with both hands. The power of thunder exploded throughout his body again. He leaped high, pointing the hammer directly at Malekith. The thunder transformed into a tornado, tearing open a gap in the scarlet energy.
Dominic targeted this moment, his body instantly rushing into the gap, his fist striking Malekith's chest. In an instant, the Reality Stone's defense was breached, and his fist penetrated the scarlet light barrier, hitting the core of the gem directly. Malekith let out a piercing scream. His body was sent flying by a huge force, crashing against the rock wall behind him with a dull thud.
"Bang!"
The giant rocks cracked, and dust scattered.
Black and scarlet blood mixed together flowed from Malekith's mouth. He trembled as he stood up, the twisted smile on his face carrying unwillingness and madness. His arm trembled slightly, wanting to use the power of the Reality Stone again, but the gem had already been stripped from his chest cavity, its light dimming as it fell to the ground.
Thor roared in anger, the power of thunder from his entire body converging on mjolnir. The hammer emitted a blinding white light. He leaped high, the hammer carrying the wrath of thunder, striking directly at Malekith's head.
"Boom!" Lightning exploded, and Malekith was smashed into the ground by the immense Impact. The entire battlefield instantly fell silent, leaving only the faint hum of the lingering aftershocks of thunder in the air.
Dominic looked down at the Reality Stone lying quietly on the ground. Its scarlet light cast twisted shadows on the cracked ground. He slowly reached out his hand. Just as his fingertips were about to touch the Infinity Stone that emitted a dangerous aura, a slight cracking sound came from behind him.
The footsteps were as light as a breeze sweeping over sand, and then a calm voice, yet one that saw through everything, came from behind him: "Perhaps you should stop. This gem is more dangerous than you imagine."
Dominic raised an eyebrow slightly, his hand hovering above the gem. He didn't turn around immediately but said with a hint of playfulness, "Dangerous? Danger means fun to me. As for you, you've come at a rather inconvenient time."
He slowly turned around and saw a bald woman in a monk's robe standing a few steps away. Her gaze was as calm as a lake, without a ripple, yet it gave off a strange sense of authority. Gu Yi had a subtle smile on her face, an expression that was like looking at a familiar old friend, or perhaps scrutinizing an unpredictable variable.
"You are..." Dominic was about to speak when Gu Yi raised a hand, interrupting him with a gentle but undeniable tone: "Dominic, there's no need for introductions. I already know your name and your existence, although your trajectory is... somewhat special to time."
Dominic's eyebrows rose higher. His tone carried a hint of impatience: "It seems you know quite a bit, even things I don't know about who you are." He looked up, his gaze slightly cold, "So, what do you want here? To warn me not to touch this gem?"
Gu Yi smiled slightly, her smile containing an unmistakable certainty. Her gaze flickered between Dominic and the Reality Stone for a moment: "No, warnings are never my style. I merely hope you can understand that the existence of certain things has a significance far beyond individual will, especially the Infinity Stones. They are part of time, reality, and the cosmic order."
Dominic scoffed, spreading his hands, his tone clearly dismissive: "Cosmic order? Are you telling me their existence is inviolable? Sorry, I don't buy that."
Gu Yi showed no sign of being swayed by his attitude. She gently raised a finger and pointed at the gem at her feet: "I haven't come to stop you, but to tell you what kind of consequences your choice will bring."
Dominic's gaze shifted slightly. He took a step closer, his tone low: "Tell me."
Gu Yi's gaze was deep and calm. Her tone was gentle but carried an undeniable authority: "The power of the Reality Stone is far beyond your imagination. It can not only change matter and space but also subtly erode the user's will. If you think you can control it, that is merely an illusion it is giving you, until one day, it will make you unable to distinguish between reality and illusion."
Dominic sneered, his tone full of disdain: "Many people have tried to warn me not to do certain things, but they usually aren't very good at convincing me."
Gu Yi smiled slightly, her tone becoming a little more relaxed: "That's because they don't understand you, and I am different. I know you are not without principles, although your methods are... somewhat special. But I believe you also don't want to see a collapsed reality, or a soul corrupted by an Infinity Stone."
Dominic was silent for a moment, crossing his arms, a hint of probing in his eyes: "You know all this so clearly because...?"
A complex emotion flashed in Gu Yi's eyes. Her tone remained calm: "I guard the flow of time, which has allowed me to see many things. Those who have tried to control the Infinity Stones have, without exception, lost what they cherished most. Some lost power, some lost love, some... lost themselves."
Dominic didn't answer immediately. His gaze shifted from Gu Yi to the Reality Stone, the scarlet light casting shadows on his face. He seemed to be thinking, or perhaps weighing.
"So," he said in a low voice, a hint of subtle teasing in his tone, "how do you think I should handle it? Hand it over to you, or just throw it somewhere?"
Gu Yi gently shook her head, her gaze still gentle: "This is not my decision, nor should it be my request. This gem itself is part of the balance. Where it should be, destiny will naturally guide it there."
The corner of Dominic's mouth lifted slightly, a touch of interest in his eyes: "Sounds profound, but alright, at least you're not like those idiots who want to give orders the moment they see me."
Gu Yi's expression remained calm. She nodded gently, as if acknowledging a certain understanding: "I never underestimate any variable, especially an existence like you. This is our first meeting today, but perhaps not our last."
Dominic snorted, a hint of nonchalance in his voice: "That sounds like a threat."
"It's not a threat," Gu Yi said calmly, her tone like a spring breeze sweeping across a wilderness, "but... a reminder."
