General POV
As the soul fell toward the earth, a grand Manor appeared below, steeped in history and magic. Once co-owned by Morgana le Fay and Merlin, it had long been forgotten. In their time together as husband and wife, the Manor symbolized unity and a shared vision for the wizarding world—but their bond eventually soured, leaving the Manor shrouded in mystery.
Over centuries, its true history faded. Most only knew it as an ancient estate of the Emrys family—a pureblood lineage that had remained in the shadows, as no true heir had yet been accepted by the Manor's ancient magics.
As the Manor came into view, its imposing architecture radiated an aura of power and secrecy. Within its walls, relics and artifacts whispered of long-forgotten eras, waiting for those daring enough to seek the truth. To those who understood, it was more than a building—it was a symbol of ideals and beliefs that shaped the wizarding world, a reminder of friendship, loyalty, and the enduring strength of magic.
The Outer Manor
Beyond the main estate, a smaller manor stood—accessible only to the remaining descendants. In a dimly lit chamber, Amara Potter née Evans struggled through labor, a healer and midwife assisting her with care.
Hours—or perhaps days—passed, yet the usual cries of a newborn never came. The father-to-be, Void L. Potter, rushed in, his heart clenched with fear. The healer cast spells desperately, attempting to save the silent child.
Void, heavy with grief, ordered the healer to step back and leave. Activating the protective wards of the Manor, he ensured no one interfered.
He approached Amara, sharing a look of profound sadness."We knew this could happen with my magical curse resurfacing," Void said, his voice tight with resignation. "Now we can save our child—but we won't be there to see him grow. We have no choice, Amara."
Tears streamed down Amara's face."I hoped to at least hold him for a moment," she whispered.
Void reassured her, explaining that the child's godparents—Lily and Pandora—would care for him. He began preparing the ritual to ensure their child's survival.
The Ritual
Void commanded the house-elf, Red, to alert James: the ritual's magic would seal the Manor until the child was recognized as the Lord of the House. Outside, those ejected by the wards scrambled to re-enter.
"STOP!" James shouted. "You won't get inside. We can only wait and hope."
Inside, Void placed his son in the center of the ritual circle. Using a sharp knife, he cut his arm."I've altered it," he explained to Amara. "Only my life and the magic of our familiars are required as the sacrifice."
Amara's eyes widened in horror."No! Why would you do that?" she cried.
Suddenly, a horned snake and a raven appeared, assisting in the ritual. The snake hissed respectfully:"It'sss an honour to ssserve as a sssacrifice for the heir, Mistressss."
The raven translated for Amara, who trembled with emotion."I wanted you to be there—to protect him," she whispered.
The snake and raven harmonized:"We cannot fulfill that requessst, but our children will be there for him."
Void translated her tears into understanding. As the ritual reached its climax, a flash of red, purple, and silver light filled the room. Darkness enveloped everything, and the Manor vanished from the world, its location erased from memory. The sacrifice ensured the survival of their child—the heir of a forgotten house.
Aftermath
Outside, onlookers were startled by the sudden flash. When they gathered their wits, a soft pop revealed Amara, weak but cradling a peacefully sleeping child. James rushed to her side.
"How is this possible? They're both fine!" he exclaimed.
"Amara is weak but alive, and the child is healthy," a healer confirmed.
James levitated them home, entrusting Red to watch over them."What happened here must remain a secret," he instructed.
At home, Lily held the child while Amara slept."How are they?" James asked."She's tired, but alive. And the child is strong," Lily replied, her voice trembling.
Amara awoke the next day to find her son alive but realized her husband had made the ultimate sacrifice."What is his name?" Lily asked gently."Void L. Potter," Amara said. "So he can always carry his father's name."
Time passed. On July 31, 1980, Lily gave birth to Hadrian (Harry) James Potter, marking the beginning of events that would alter the wizarding world.
Protagonist POV
"WTF is going on? First, I was falling, then drowning, now… something's trying to kill me," the protagonist thought, the only coherent thought he could grasp before exhaustion overtook him. Slowly, darkness pulled him under, and his memories—of his previous life, of who he truly was—were sealed away, hidden until the right time.
Void had not yet regained memories of his previous life. Yet as a reincarnated soul, he instinctively understood what needed to be done. His maturity surpassed his age; his actions were guided by instincts he couldn't fully explain.
The Attack on the Potters
As Voldemort learned of the prophecy, he came to Godric's Hollow to kill Harry. James Potter was killed in the defense of his family. But this time, not only did Lily Potter's sacrificial magic protect Harry, Amara's ancient spells added further protection, fueled by the lives and magic of both mothers.
The curse rebounded, destroying Voldemort's body. Harry survived with a lightning-bolt scar, while Void was spared injury thanks to the ongoing ritual, his wounds cleansed and healed.
Dumbledore, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, arranged for Harry and Void to be taken to their only remaining relatives—the Dursleys—where Petunia's bloodline provided a measure of protection.
Hagrid rescued the two boys and, using Sirius's enchanted motorbike, delivered them safely to 4 Privet Drive. Void, older and more mature, instinctively shielded Harry, taking the brunt of their mistreatment.
Life with the Dursleys
Life at the Dursleys' was harsh. Harry's accidental magic began to manifest—like speaking to a snake at the zoo—a rare talent that both fascinated and terrified the Dursleys. Void, quietly controlling his magic, protected them both, often enduring injuries and magical backlash in silence.
Shadow, Void's jet-black snake with a purple stripe and horns, became his companion, lending both comfort and magical assistance. When Harry had an outburst, Void silently absorbed the consequences, bearing the blame and shielding his cousin from punishment.
He had already endured hidden injuries, wounds inflicted while secretly shielding Harry from magical mishaps and taking blame for incidents that were not his fault. Every day, he protected his cousin without complaint, hiding bruises, magical backlash, and exhaustion beneath an outwardly calm demeanor.
Despite these hardships, the bond between Harry and Void grew unbreakable. Void became protector, confidant, and mentor, guiding Harry through every challenge. Shadow and Void's hidden strength would prove crucial as they faced the magical dangers ahead.
