Chapter 11 - Ch.11

In the afternoon, Luo Cheng went to the training grounds. Besides Tokai Teio, Seiun Sky was also there; she had become his horse girl. He remembered that Seiun Sky's initial stats should be in the nineties, just under a hundred, and she was just starting her training. These stats didn't grow as one might imagine. For example, Rudolf's speed was over 1400, which was ten times Teio's, but her actual speed couldn't be ten times Teio's. If Teio ran 20 meters per second, Rudolf would run 200 meters per second, which was a human bullet.

It must be that the higher the stat, the smaller the growth curve becomes. Also, this world was different from the mobile game. The stats didn't stay put after you added points. If he only did power training for a long time, stamina would start to drop. All the stats would affect each other. If they spent a long time reading to increase intelligence, all the other stats would decrease. This was a zero-sum game, and the trainer's job was to maximize these values within a set time.

Luo Cheng had not formally studied to be a trainer, and he only half-understood the books he read. But he could see the horse girls' basic information and predict which training was more reasonable. He had already surpassed the experience of many trainers because of his predictive ability. Some trainers even saw their horse girls' overall stats drop after training. However, at this stage, he couldn't see these things and could only rely on his past experience to arrange their training.

"Go warm up first."

"Yes." Tokai Teio and Seiun Sky ran to the training field, and Luo Cheng watched them. After Luo Cheng signed the contract with Seiun Sky that morning, the system interface reappeared, indicating that the two had become a team, and he now had command over Seiun Sky. But Luo Cheng wasn't happy. He felt that this world was a little "fake." This world seemed normal, but in reality, he was still the only real person in it. This might just be the original game world, but with the map restrictions removed and the characters' emotions enhanced. After all that effort to change things, it was still so heartbreaking. Luo Cheng was ready to give up.

Before, he had endured by training Teio. If he didn't do anything, he would have become a useless person long ago. He had to find a goal for himself. His desire couldn't always control his mind; there would always be a time when it was exhausted. He had to do something to keep himself busy. A person cannot live without a goal. Once he was assimilated by this world, he would become a walking corpse with only desires. In the end, he might not even be a "human." Luo Cheng instinctively resisted becoming like that, so he had been purposefully raising Teio. He wanted to turn Teio into a stat monster. This was Luo Cheng's goal, and it was still his goal now.

After warming up, Tokai Teio and Seiun Sky ran to Luo Cheng.

"Trainer, what's next?"

"Follow the plan I gave you."

"Yes." The two of them looked at Luo Cheng's face, a little confused.

During training, Tokai Teio said to Seiun Sky, "Don't you think the Trainer has been acting a little strange these past few days?"

"What's wrong?"

"He's always mumbling things I can't understand, talking about 'games' and things like that, and he's often daydreaming by himself. Yesterday, he just sat there by the flowerbed, staring at the field without moving."

"What's so strange about that? Boys that age like to play games, and I daydream all the time, too. Although I prefer to sleep over daydreaming." Seiun Sky replied leisurely.

"Is that so...?"

"Of course. Oh, right, it could also be because of Teio's debut race. The Trainer might be a little tired, so he's relaxing by playing games and daydreaming."

"Is it because of me?! My debut race is making the Trainer nervous?"

"I think that's very likely."

"Then, then what should I do?"

"Well, you should find a way to help the Trainer relax. Don't worry, you can leave this to me. Just let the Trainer sleep in my arms, and I guarantee he'll be full of energy the next day."

"Don't even think about it! You're not getting close to my Trainer."

"What do you mean 'yours'? He's mine, too."

"How dare you! I'm enough for the Trainer. Why would he sign with someone else? He can do to me whatever he wants to do to a horse girl! He can do to me whatever he wants to do to a girl! What is he still not satisfied with?" Teio was getting angry again, while Seiun Sky showed a soft yet incredibly sarcastic smile. "Maybe the Trainer likes someone he can knead and hug more easily. And that's me."

"Huh?? How could you be more comfortable than me? Anyway, I'm going to comfort the Trainer, so don't you dare come and mess things up!" After leaving a fierce threat, Tokai Teio turned and ran off. Seiun Sky calmly watched her go. It doesn't matter. You can't follow the Trainer 24/7. But I can.

While Teio and Sky were training, Luo Cheng looked at his training schedule. He recorded the last stats he saw for Tokai Teio and Seiun Sky and wrote down the growth from his previous training sessions for different stats next to them. In addition to the mutual influence between different stats, there was also an effect within the same stat. If a horse girl did the same training for a long time, the growth rate would slow down, and the decrease in other stats would accelerate. Combining different types of training could also have a synergistic effect. Of course, he also had to consider the horse girl's mood and condition. Sometimes, Tokai Teio's condition would be inexplicably poor, and her training would be ineffective, with little to no stat increase.

However, changing her mood was simple, much simpler than in the game. Just by stroking her head, rubbing her face, or massaging her feet, Tokai Teio's mood would improve. Even if Teio's mood was so bad that her ears drooped, a kiss would immediately make her perk up.

This is so complicated. Since he couldn't see the UI anymore, he had to remember everything slowly.

"Two single-leg jumps followed by squats... and then..."

"Trainer." Just as Luo Cheng was sitting on the grass deep in thought, Tokai Teio came up from behind. She had just finished training and was sweating. The slightly salty smell of sweat, mixed with Tokai Teio's citrus body scent, filled his nostrils as she hugged him.

"What's wrong, Teio? Are you done with training?"

"I'm on a break, and I wanted to help the Trainer relax." Seeing Luo Cheng's deep-in-thought expression as he looked at the training schedule, her strange feeling vanished. The Trainer had that same expression when he used to arrange her training plans. The Trainer was still the same Trainer, the person she loved most.

"Ah, mm~" Tokai Teio opened her small cherry-like mouth and took Luo Cheng's ear into it. Her moist tongue slipped into his ear canal. All he heard was Tokai Teio's soft, sticky voice saying, "Let me help you relax."
