Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Breaking into the Faculty Dormitory Again

If possible,

Lucas truly didn't want to venture into this ghostly place.

From his memory, the Faculty Dormitory had three Night Valkyries, one on each of the three floors.

He didn't need to worry about the first floor.

He had already passed through that dangerous area.

Next were the second and third floors.

The Headmaster's room was on the third floor. Lucas needed to place the bitter gourd juice at her door, then use the same trick he used to sneak into her office that day to enter her bedroom.

As for the rope...

Lucas didn't have a rope with him now; he had returned the one he borrowed from Aponia early yesterday morning.

You ask why?

Naturally, it was because he might need it again with Griseo next time, and perhaps Lucas himself might need it.

Although a certain someone didn't want to use it.

It didn't matter if he didn't have a rope.

The Faculty Dormitory had things that could substitute.

Lucas shook his head slightly, focusing his attention on the task at hand.

The Night Valkyrie on the second floor liked to wander around the corridor.

Lucas genuinely liked this type of Valkyrie; what he feared most were the Valkyries who stood still, staring at a particular spot—those were the real trouble.

For example, the Night Valkyrie on the third floor.

She stood at the stairwell, making it impossible to pass using conventional methods.

And inconveniently, the Faculty Dormitory only had one staircase connecting the floors.

If Lucas wanted to go to the third floor, he had to do something drastic to get her to move.

But not too drastic.

Otherwise, he might end up shooting himself in the foot.

How exactly should he do it?

For Lucas, who had already reincarnated ninety-nine times, he already had a mature plan, as long as no accidents occurred...

Lucas rubbed his forehead and said, "Well, it seems that as soon as I think that, an accident is very likely to happen."

No one could be blamed for this.

St. Freya Academy at night was inherently full of uncertainties.

Standing at the stairwell on the first floor,

Lucas had no intention of going to the second floor. He looked at the open space below the stairs; the hollow design was perfect for hiding.

He quietly hid under the stairs on the first floor, alongside brooms and mops.

Lucas waited quietly.

Not long after,

a buzzing sound came from the laundry room.

This was Lucas's doing earlier; he had set the washing machine to start on a timer.

Now...

The washing machine had started, and the gurgling sound of water was quite noticeable in the silent night.

The Night Valkyries on the third, second, and first floors all moved, striding steadily towards the laundry room.

Their footsteps were exceptionally clear.

Feeling someone walk over his head, Lucas hid under the stairs on the first floor, not daring to make a sound.

The three Night Valkyries entered the public laundry room one after another.

"Is it you?"

"No..."

The three Night Valkyries looked at each other in the public laundry room.

Soon...

The three of them started to go mad.

"Who has been here, who has been here!"

"Who? Who? Who? Who?"

The Night Valkyries shrieked, their expressions distorted, their beautiful faces becoming terrifying.

Among them, the blonde, blue-eyed Valkyrie's head instantly bent ninety degrees, and her body twisted along with it, performing an incredibly difficult movement impossible for humans, with continuous cracking sounds erupting.

"Master! Hehehe... it's him, it must be him..."

"He came for me, he came for me again..."

The Night Valkyries who had truly seen Lucas, if they weren't killed, would find it much easier to enter their transformation state in the future.

Ignoring the internal meeting in the laundry room.

Seizing the opportunity, Lucas walked directly out from under the stairs on the first floor.

He quickly rushed towards the third floor.

The public laundry room could only hold the Night Valkyries for one minute.

Within this minute,

Lucas had to reach the third floor and place the two bottles of bitter gourd juice at the door.

Then head to the rooftop.

Yes.

The Faculty Dormitory, like the academic building, had a rooftop where many Valkyries hung their clothes to dry.

Including their personal undergarments...

As soon as Lucas reached the third floor, he heard thudding sounds from downstairs.

That was the Night Valkyries searching for him throughout the Faculty Dormitory.

Someone must have also climbed out the window to search.

After all, Lucas only heard two distinct sounds.

The Faculty Dormitory and the Valkyrie Dormitory were actually not very different.

The first and second floors also had single rooms, just larger and fewer in number.

The main difference was on the third floor.

There were only three rooms here in total, all of them luxury suites.

One was occupied by Theresa, another by Himeko Murata, Kiana, and Raiden Mei.

The last room was occupied by Bronya and Seele.

Theresa's room was on the far left.

Lucas walked over, put down the bitter gourd juice, then knocked on the door a few times loudly before turning and running towards the rooftop.

The sound of knocking had completely exposed him.

Lucas no longer needed to use silent steps; he moved at his fastest speed towards his destination.

Before the Night Valkyries downstairs could come up,

Lucas used a hairpin to pry open the rooftop door.

He stepped inside.

Immediately, a gust of wind came from behind him.

A Night Valkyrie had already caught up.

With a hideous face and bloodshot eyes,

This Night Valkyrie roared, "Hahaha! You're mine! Mine!"

Lucas slammed the iron door shut with a bang, locking it as he did so, blocking the enemy behind him.

The Night Valkyrie behind the door raged in futile anger, smashing against the door frantically.

But she couldn't leave even a single trace on it.

The Inner World version of St. Freya Academy was like this.

Without a key,

even if it was just a broken wooden door that was locked, a Valkyrie absolutely couldn't open it. This was a restriction of the rules, just like in some horror games.

However!

Don't think that a single door can stop a Valkyrie.

If this way was blocked, they could go other ways, such as flying or climbing.

Of course...

It could still hold them off for a short time, as the Night Valkyries weren't that clever.

It would take some time for them to react.

Having just contended with death,

Lucas leaned against the iron door, letting out a long sigh.

This time, he had perfectly achieved his goal without any accidents.

After a short rest to ensure his stamina was replenished, he continued to move.

On the rooftop of the Faculty Dormitory, many clothes were drying. Seeing the familiar black lace, Lucas knew it belonged to Himeko.

There was no shortage of thin ropes for drying clothes here.

Unfortunately, these ropes were difficult to use for climbing; they were too prone to breaking.

Logically, if all the ropes were taken down and gathered together, it wasn't impossible to try.

However, that would take too much time.

Lucas chose a simpler method.

Bed sheets.

He directly used a bed sheet that was drying nearby, not knowing whose it was.

Although it was a bit short, it could barely be used.

Twisting the bed sheet into a strip, Lucas tied one end to the railing on the rooftop and let the other end hang down.

Before acting,

Lucas observed the movements of the surrounding Night Valkyries from above, making sure no one was coming near.

The lights near the Faculty Dormitory were too bright.

If he wasn't careful, he could easily be noticed by the Night Valkyries. If they noticed him, it would actually be fine.

After all...

The Night Valkyries might not be able to immediately threaten Lucas on the rooftop.
