Chapter 3 - Mission and Stats

Kurokawa Saki looked at the description of the talent that she had and almost screamed out loud.

Yes!!!

As long as she 'killed' people under this restriction, they will not really die but instead stay in the ghost state.

In this way she didn't have to be burdened!

…thought, Kurokawa Saki was sure that she couldn't feel no burden at all.

Because there might be special cases where she had to kill people outside of these restrictions.

But this is already good enough.

And can the talent level up?

It'll be better if the limit could be increased or she will have difficulties for her to do things.

After all, the cruel winery might ask her to kill more than one person in a day.

[Since No. 1 have selected the identity and talent, the mission has been generated for you.]

[Main mission 1: Successfully destroy the Winery during the mainline. Reminder: main plot points before the main storyline has an extremely low chance of being successfully changed. Reminder 2: The main mission 1 might change depending on the progress of the 12 players before the main storyline starts.]

[Main mission 2: Kill (or save) a total of 1000 people]

Kurokawa Saki: "..."

She wanted to curse.

1000 people?

Considering that she could only kill one person per day, it will take her 3 years to complete the second main mission.

And that was considering she could do missions everyday. But she was absolutely sure that she would have to investigate the surroundings and so on before going.

It'll be very troublesome.

[You may select 5 skills to have their skill points filled from 100, 90, 80, 70, and 60. Reminder that 40 points are what normal people skills will be and 60 points are enough to be at a skilled person in that field and 80 points are professional level]

Kurokawa Saki nodded and then asked, "Can I see my own skill sets first?"

[Yes]

A panel appeared in front of Kurokawa Saki and she was silent for a while before tossing them out.

Sorry, she's really a scum.

There was nothing related to fighting and so on.

Yeah, she's definitely the worst agent in history.

Sighing deeply, Kurokawa Saki silently browsed the skillset and after thinking for a moment, she quickly selected several things.

Observation: 100 (you have extreme talent for observation. Nothing could escape your senses)

Sniping: 90 (you're far ahead than most professionals. Currently, your range is 1000 yards)

Tracking and anti tracking: 80 (you're a professional in this area. You know what to do to make sure you won't be tracked or how to track people. Believe me, finding bugs are easy with your sensitivity)

Acting: 70 (you're a very good actor, capable of fooling most people, even the perceptive one. Be careful, though, an award winning actress might still find something)

Hacking: 60 (you're a pretty good hacker, capable of doing infiltration in some places to get enough information)

To be honest, Kurokawa Saki wanted more but after selecting the skills, the system simply said that she will have the chance to learn skills by either practicing on her own or earn skill points.

[Do you have any other questions, No.1]

Kurokawa Saki nodded. "What's your purpose in sending me into this world?"

An additional poor citizen like her definitely wouldn't be able to change the situation in the dangerous Conan World.

[This is a parallel world, not the original world. Your task is just to make things more interesting through the time limited missions aside from your own personal mission]

Kurokawa Saki pursed her lips at the explanation that was not like an explanation.

"What if there are more than 12 people?"

[In a single parallel world, there'll only be 12 people at the same time]

"How do you determine the numbering?"

[Random]

Kurokawa Saki: "..."

"Well, last question, can I select the name I'm using since I'll be an undercover agent?"

If she had to use an ugly name for years, Kurokawa Saki felt like crying. She definitely didn't want to use any ugly name!

[Yes. Please input your name here]

There was a box in front of her along with a keyboard. Kurokawa Saki thought for a moment and then typed: Hikari Yuki

And there was a notification saying that it's time for her prologue mission.

[Have fun playing, No. 1.]

Scotland didn't understand how things turned this way.

He was determined to die, but he felt pain from the back. Apparently, there should be a sniper in the distance and he failed to pull the trigger to kill himself.

However, he found himself standing beside his own body, frozen and unable to move. And his own body looked like it was shot from the front, which is outrageous. He could only watch as Bourbon restrained his emotion when he was clearly feeling pain and then confronted Rye.

After that, the two of them left.

He couldn't speak and couldn't move beside his own body.

Scotland: "..." Is this the realm after death?

He was confused.

After an hour or so, a young woman appeared in front of him. She looked like a teenager, wearing a loose hoodie that covered her body and face. Her blue eyes moved towards him and then she smiled.

"Uhm, Scotland? Sorry about this, but I'll have you follow me for the time being…." Kurokawa Saki said sheepishly.

Not knowing how to explain, Kurokawa Saki was glad that the death game talent has the ability to explain things to the other party about what he needed to do.

Scotland stood still, digesting the information that entered his mind with shock. This is definitely something that could challenge a person's three views.

"Excuse me, but can you tell me what you're planning to do? I would rather not return to the living world if I have to kill people."

Even though he was saved inexplicably, Scotland didn't want to kill people. This girl knew his codename, so she should be a member in the organization whom he didn't know.

"Ah, my name is Hikari Yuki… wait, that's my pseudonym. My real name is Kurokawa Saki. I'm from ICPO and what I need you to do is to help me gather information to defeat the organisation. Moreover, you can't really kill people as long as you're in the ghost form." Kurokawa Saki scratched the back of her head helplessly.

ICPO?

Scotland was stunned and then he felt that it made sense.

He looked at the young woman in front of him and sighed. "Alright, I agree."

"Great!"

Kurokawa Saki smiled. "Well, can you follow me for now? I only have one saved house for the time being and I can only wrong you to stay there until I have enough money to buy more."

Scotland smiled good naturally. "It's ok. Thank you for your help."
