Cassian's POV
It's normal if Alaric tries to peek at us. He has always done that, standing by the side of the closed door and resting his head on the opening. This time, I know he would have done that, even if the so-called council members know that.
It's just official for him to leave.
"Alaric."
He gets in and takes Magnus' seat. "I heard them. You know it's important I always do."
I have to always believe this statement each time he says it. I just have to trust someone. But not everything he says though. I might not agree with some of his advice.
"They are coming together," I say.
"The packs are becoming one to go against us, to come against you especially."
His eyes are keen on me, trying to get a study of me, and that's not strange. The council members also stare at me this same way.
My head is already filled with thoughts, so much to the extent I feel it might explode. Am I supposed to be thinking of starting a war or avoiding it?
