"If it isn't because of this curse… you wouldn't have been here," Cassian says. "But it's different since you're here, and if things become normal…"
If things become normal.
These are the only words I catch from his long line of speech. He's talking about fate, the fate that he's claiming has brought us together.
And from his words, I understand that he cares for me. But that doesn't justify everything. My safety is also important. One can care but the darkness and chaos might not care about that, and because of that I don't feel okay around him.
Wait… is he talking about producing pups with me? Werewolves babies? I never thought of that, but it's tied to the same state—if everything can become normal.
His belief is strong.
But I count it as a baseless hope. It's tied to a connection that only he believes in. I'm yet to accept it. I'm not even sure I will.
