The Golden Lion, Shiki, harbored dreams of ruling the world. His Float-Float Fruit power gave him the miraculous ability to make objects float freely in the air.
Ruthless and cunning, he spared no one to achieve his goals, leaving devastation wherever he went. To realize his insane plan of creating a flying, unstoppable armada, he plundered countless islands, amassing immense wealth.
Finally, his dream was realized: the flying, invincible fleet was complete. Its destructive power was terrifying, posing a threat even to the Navy and the World Government.
But Shiki was never satisfied. Even this mighty fleet wasn't enough to challenge the World Government. His gaze turned toward the legendary ancient weapon: Pluton.
Pluton was said to be a super warship, the deadliest ever built, capable of destroying an entire island with a single shot. Its destructive potential could rival that of the entire world.
Shiki had long coveted Pluton's blueprints, asking and scheming wherever he could. Coincidentally, the Oro Jackson, Roger's ship, was a masterpiece crafted by Master Tom of Water Seven, who also kept Pluton's design safely in his possession.
To ensure such a dangerous blueprint didn't fall into the wrong hands, and to preserve the genius of its design, Master Tom entrusted it to Roger for safekeeping.
Through careful inquiry, Shiki finally learned the truth: the blueprint for Pluton was in Roger's hands. Without hesitation, he led his flying fleet with overwhelming force to confront Roger.
In the At World Sea, the Oro Jackson went about its daily life. Some trained rigorously, sweat flying. Others drank and joked, enjoying a rare moment of leisure.
Suddenly, a massive shadow fell over the ship. Tension surged instantly.
"Captain! Something's coming!"
Petermoo, aiming at a seagull with his pistol, noticed first. His voice rang out, alerting everyone.
The crew stopped and looked up. Ten massive warships hung in the sky like colossal birds, blocking the sun. Golden lion head flags fluttered fiercely in the wind.
"That… isn't that Shiki? Why is he here?"
Roger frowned, eyes narrowing in concern.
"Roger! Join me! Together, we can rule the world! Wahahaha!"
Shiki's untamed laugh rolled across the sea like thunder, carrying oppressive force. Even without seeing him, the crew felt the weight of his presence.
The fleet dominated the skies. Anyone who challenged him here would face extreme disadvantage. Shiki's fame rivaled Roger's; together with Whitebeard, the two were among the three legendary pirates of the New World. Their strength needed no introduction.
"I've already told you, Shiki! I refuse!"
Roger stood tall at the bow, hand on the hilt of Ace, shouting across the wind.
Soon, Shiki, cigar clenched between his teeth, floated down from his fleet toward the Oro Jackson. His aura made the very air tremble.
"Roger! If you agree to be my right hand and hand over the Pluton blueprint, we could rule the world together! Isn't that better than wasting your life on this little ship?"
Shiki's words were a mix of genuine respect for Roger and desire for the weapon's design. Roger had long captivated friend and foe alike with his charisma, and Shiki admired him deeply.
Roger's eyes hardened.
"Shiki, I will not join you. Nor will I give you Pluton. That ship can destroy the world—you understand that, don't you?"
Shiki's grin vanished.
"Then today, Roger, you and your crew will not leave here alive!"
With those words, Shiki released an immense surge of Conqueror's Haki, causing the ships to tremble and the ocean to boil.
Roger didn't back down, unleashing his own Conqueror's Haki in full force.
The two Haki clashed violently in the sky, distorting the very space around them.
Just then, another surge of Conqueror's Haki rushed in. Roger glanced toward Shiro, eyes widening in surprise and pride.
"Huh? A kid?!"
Shiki's eyes flicked to Shiro, a hint of surprise crossing his face.
"Seems you've got ambitions too… why not join my flying fleet?"
"Dream on! You ruling the world? Go back to your fantasy!" Shiro snapped back, teeth gritted, his face flushed as he struggled against the two overwhelming waves of Haki.
Though his Conqueror's Haki was still weaker than the legendary pirates before him, he wasn't afraid. Every clash was an opportunity to strengthen his haki. He could feel his spirit and power growing with each moment.
"You ungrateful little brat! I'll deal with you later! Wahahaha!"
Shiki withdrew his Haki, drawing his twin swords, Oto and Kogarashi. His eyes gleamed with ruthless intent as he swung both swords, sending slicing arcs of deadly energy toward Shiro.
The air shrieked as the blades cut through it…
