Roger watched the tense scene, sensing trouble, and quickly forced a smile:
"Linlin, let's talk this through. I came to Whole Cake Island for a reason!"
Although the Roger Pirates were all fighters at heart, this time their purpose was serious—they weren't here to pick a fight.
Big Mom, however, was unmoved. Furious, she bellowed:
"Roger! You barged into my territory, ruined my tea party, and have the nerve to talk casually? Do you think Charlotte Linlin is easy to mess with?!"
The air around her trembled violently as her aura spread.
Shiro, observing the escalating tension, spoke loudly to Roger:
"Captain, this fight can't be avoided. We'll have to defeat them before talking!"
"You insolent brat! How dare you speak!"
Big Mom's wrath shifted to Shiro. She roared:
"Spear of Elbaf!"
She gripped the Sword tightly. A strange pink aura surrounded the blade, and with a swing, a powerful slash of pink energy shot straight at Shiro.
"Unleashing her full power immediately… old ladies are really scary," Shiro thought to himself.
Quick as lightning, he drew his sword Oto, which glowed with black-red energy, and unleashed his Divine Departure!
The two clashing slashes of different colors collided midair, erupting in a blinding explosion.
"BOOM!"
The banquet hall shook violently. Tables and chairs were overturned, expensive dishware scattered, leaving a scene of utter chaos.
Big Mom's eyes widened in surprise as she saw Shiro unharmed:
"Oh? You actually blocked my Ikoku. Who… exactly are you, kid?"
Shiro's lips curved into a confident smile, gripping Oto tightly, eyes locked on Big Mom:
"Charlotte Linlin… don't you remember? Back at God Valley, you chased me!"
Time had not been kind to Big Mom. Once elegant and beautiful, her figure had grown plump, and her face bore the marks of years of excess. Shiro felt a flicker of disappointment—not from affection, but because, after years surrounded by rough men, he instinctively admired beauty. Big Mom's current form shattered that fantasy.
Big Mom stared at Shiro's face, lost in memories. After a moment, realization dawned. She raised Napoleon, roaring:
"I remember now! You're the brat who stole the Paw Paw Fruit back then!"
"That's right. Me!"
Shiro's lips curved in a teasing, fearless grin.
"Good! Back then you escaped, but this time… your life will stay in the Whole Cake Island!"
With that, Big Mom swung Napoleon at Shiro.
"Linlin, I'll take this fight!"
Roger reacted instantly, drawing his sword and stepping in front of Big Mom. The blade sliced the air, releasing a terrifying aura that rivaled hers.
"Katakuri, you take the brat!"
Big Mom shouted during her clash with Roger.
"Yes, Mother!"
Katakuri vanished in a blink, appearing before Shiro. His eyes glowed red, a massive trident in hand, exuding immense power.
As Big Mom's strongest son, Katakuri had awakened Conqueror's Haki and approached advanced combat capability.
"You have no chance of winning," Katakuri said coldly, confidence radiating from every word.
Shiro smirked:
"So you can see the future with Observation Haki… impressive, but just seeing the future won't win you this fight!"
He drew Oto and charged.
Blades clashed with a deafening CLANG, sparks flying. The hall reverberated with the intensity of their battle.
Twenty rounds passed rapidly, and neither side gained the upper hand. Shiro was genuinely surprised.
He had expected Katakuri to be strong, but not this unpredictable. The Mochi-Mochi Fruit made his attacks erratic and difficult to defend, and coupled with future-seeing Haki, he often had the advantage.
"Observation Haki to see the future… what a power. If I could master that, my strength would skyrocket," Shiro thought, eyes flashing with admiration and desire.
"Sticky Mochi Thrust!"
Katakuri shouted, spinning his trident and launching a flurry of impaling strikes. Shadows of his weapon danced across the hall.
Shiro barely blocked with Armament Haki, sweat dripping from his forehead. He realized swordsmanship alone wouldn't suffice. Fortunately, he still had the Paw-Paw Fruit's space-warping power.
"You can see the future? Let's see if you can predict a teleport!"
Shiro tapped his chest. In an instant, space twisted. He teleported behind Katakuri, swinging Oto without hesitation. A slash of razor-sharp energy struck Katakuri's back.
But no wound appeared. Katakuri's body stretched and deflected the strike, nullifying the blow.
"Of course… a super rubber fruit. This is tough," Shiro thought.
It was time to show his true power. He activated Bullet's Devil Mode, and a brilliant light erupted from his body. Speed and strength multiplied, and his aura transformed completely.
A few quick teleports later, Shiro unleashed Divine Departure again. This time, the black-red lightning slash struck Katakuri head-on, hitting with full force.
