The moment Evelyn finished announcing the match results, she turned to address everyone, her tone urgent.
"Everyone, because of Lady Rias's Holy Sword and that dragon's rampage, the dimensional space is on the verge of collapse. We need to evacuate—now!"
No one argued. With the tension still lingering in the air, the group hurriedly exited the fractured dimension and found themselves back in the familiar halls of the Supernatural Research Club.
At the entrance, Shuo Nangong and Sona Sitri were waiting, smiles lighting up their faces as the victors returned.
"Congratulations, Rias. You did it—you're free," Sona said, stepping forward to offer her heartfelt congratulations.
Rias nodded softly, her eyes gentle as she turned to Shuo. "Shuo, I owe everything to you. Without your help, I never would've won."
Shuo's grin was pure mischief. "Don't tell me you've forgotten the real reason I agreed to help you?"
The moment hung, warm and teasing.
Meanwhile, in the Underworld, the shockwaves from the battle still hadn't faded. Even Sirzechs, the most powerful of Devils, found himself at a loss. The entire palace was abuzz—devils murmuring, speculating, reeling from the spectacle.
Sirzechs was proud—his little sister had shattered her chains, outmaneuvered her fate, and he couldn't wait to meet Shuo Nangong in person.
He'd doubted Evelyn's claims about Shuo's strength. Seven days to turn Rias's peerage into a force capable of crushing Riser? Impossible, he'd thought. But reality had proven him wrong—Rias's team had grown beyond anything he'd imagined.
And Shuo Nangong… the true inheritor of the Stellar Holy Sword. That revelation alone had left him speechless.
Sirzechs turned to the Phoenix family patriarch—Riser's father—his expression serious.
"Lord Phoenix, what is your stance now?"
The patriarch sighed, shoulders slumping in defeat. "Your Majesty, compared to Lady Rias, my son has disgraced himself. He's no longer worthy of her. Please, annul the engagement."
Sirzechs smiled, relief and satisfaction mingling in his eyes. "So be it. The engagement between Rias and Riser is officially void. They're free to choose their own paths."
Back in the clubroom, Shuo's playful challenge still hung in the air. Rias's cheeks flushed deep red; ignoring the crowd, she threw her arms around Shuo and kissed him—bold, passionate, and utterly shameless.
A chorus of shocked gasps erupted behind them.
"Whoa, Rias is really going for it!"
The girls stared, half in awe, half in outrage. Rias was making her move, and she didn't care who saw.
Thank goodness Asia wasn't here—otherwise, there'd be an all-out brawl.
Akeno's voice floated in, teasing and sultry. "Ara ara, Rias-chan, you can't just monopolize Shuo-kun."
Rias held Shuo's arm tighter, eyes sparkling with defiance. "Hmph. Shuo-kun said he's my boyfriend, so I'm the main wife. That's final!"
Akeno just smiled, eyes glinting with mischief. "My, my. Rias-chan's gotten bold. But are you sure Sona and her girls will let you claim Shuo all for yourself?"
Sona pushed up her glasses, voice cool and resolute. "Rias, even as your friend, I can't let you hog Shuo-kun. The Student Council already has plenty of girls who've made things official with him."
Rias blinked, glancing at Tsubaki and the other girls—faces red, eyes burning with competitive fire. She groaned, exasperated.
"Shuo-kun, you're such a playboy! But I'm not backing down—I'll be the main wife, no matter what."
Shuo rubbed the back of his neck, looking sheepish. "That's not really up to me, Rias. But if you can outcompete them, then… well, maybe."
He knew what he'd signed up for—a harem was never simple. Still, the reality was a little overwhelming.
"But listen, all of you—you're the women I love most. I promise, I won't let any of you down."
Akeno blushed, her usual composure slipping. "Since Shuo-kun says so, I'll just have to follow his lead."
The rest of the girls flushed, some giggling, others hiding their faces. Even Tsubaki looked away, embarrassed.
Rias and Sona exchanged glances, then both smiled—resigned, but happy.
As for Kiba? He was basically invisible.
Soon, Evelyn returned, escorting Riser and his battered peerage.
"Rias, a bet's a bet. Our families have dissolved the engagement. You're free." Riser's expression was complicated—defeat, regret, maybe even a hint of respect. "Goodbye."
"Open the teleportation circle. We're leaving."
"Yes, Lord Riser."
With that, Riser and his group prepared to depart, eager to escape the scene. He couldn't face Rias—not after mocking her, only to be humiliated and driven to surrender.
As the magic circle activated and they vanished, one thing stood out—Ravel lingered, her gaze fixed shyly on Shuo.
Akeno watched them go, her voice dry. "Well, at least he's not a sore loser. Still, he can't face Rias right now—pretty cowardly, honestly."
Rias sighed, sympathy and frustration mingling. "Riser's strength comes from his pedigree, but that's all. After this, I doubt he'll ever break through again."
She turned to Shuo, eyes narrowing playfully. "By the way, did you notice how Ravel from the Phoenix family kept looking at you? Don't tell me you're interested."
Shuo grinned, utterly shameless. "Hey, don't blame me—I haven't made a move. But if she throws herself at me, that's on her!"
Rias just groaned.
Suddenly, Evelyn interrupted, voice formal.
"Lady Rias, when you have time, please bring Mr. Nangong to the Gremory estate. Lord Sirzechs asked me to deliver this message."
Rias's eyes widened, nerves fluttering. "Shuo-kun? What does my brother want? Is the family going to… punish him?"
Evelyn smiled reassuringly. "Please don't worry, Lady Rias. Lord Sirzechs has already explained everything to your parents. He's inviting Mr. Nangong to discuss your marriage."
With that, Evelyn bowed and stepped into the magic circle, vanishing from sight.
Rias didn't speak—her face was crimson, right down to her ears.
"My marriage… with Shuo-kun?"
