Shuo settled beside the loli goddess, his tone tinged with mystery.
"When we meet again, Little Saint, I'll tell you everything—my secrets and more."
She gazed at him for a long moment, then reached up with her delicate hands, cradling his face. Her smile was gentle, almost wistful.
"Alright. Next time we cross paths, you owe me the whole truth."
With Shuo's confidence and his hidden trump cards, the goddess felt her worries begin to melt away.
For a heartbeat, Shuo was stunned by her touch. Then, on impulse, he took her hands in his own, pressed a soft kiss to her fingertips, and grinned.
"You know, your hands are unbelievably soft. Starting to fall for me, aren't you?"
She blinked, flustered, and snatched her hands back, cheeks pink with embarrassment. Rolling her eyes, she huffed in classic tsundere style.
"Hmph! As if. At best, I'm just… curious about you."
Before he could tease her further, she turned and vanished into Heaven's system, off to prepare the angelic power Shuo needed for Irina's reincarnation.
Watching her retreat, Shuo couldn't help but smile. Winning over this prideful little goddess was just a matter of time.
The next few days were a blur of heavenly sights and lazy wandering.
Gabriel took charge of his daily needs, her innocent clumsiness making every interaction a study in adorable embarrassment. Shuo found endless amusement in her reactions.
As for Little Saint, she'd transformed into a full-blown shut-in goddess.
Bored with Heaven's serenity, Shuo introduced her to games, manga, and novels—originally meant for Koneko. One taste, and she was hooked. Now she gamed with wild abandon, sipping drinks and shouting at the screen.
Shuo watched her, deadpan.
Honestly, was there any difference between her and that hopeless angel Gabriel? If she had a halo, he'd swear it had turned pitch black by now.
Meanwhile, the Underworld was about to explode.
"The investigation's complete. The God of the Bible was gravely wounded in her battle with Beast Emperor 666. She still hasn't recovered!"
Lucifer, the original Devil King, wore a wicked grin, voice dripping with malice.
"Is that true?"
"This is our chance—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!"
"Exactly! Now's the time to finish her off. We can't let this slip away!"
The other three Devil Kings grew visibly excited.
After a quick council, the four Devil Kings rallied every devil in the Underworld and declared war.
They chose the Underworld as their battlefield, intent on weakening the goddess and her angels as much as possible.
Time passed. The war erupted.
"Lord, the four Devil Kings have launched a full-scale assault. Even with Raphael and Uriel leading the charge, we're starting to lose ground."
Michael and Gabriel stood before the loli goddess, faces etched with worry.
The three-faction war was already a stalemate, but now—with the four Devil Kings leading their armies—the angels were being pushed back, retreat after retreat.
The Fallen Angels watched from the sidelines, unpredictable as ever. No one could guess how this would end.
With no other choice, Michael turned to the goddess for orders.
She scowled, frustration flashing across her face.
Those original devils—bloodthirsty as ever, impossible to change.
She glanced around Heaven, hoping for a glimpse of Shuo, but he was nowhere to be found. A pang of regret hit her—she hadn't even managed a proper goodbye.
"Michael, Gabriel. You're coming with me—to the battlefield."
She straightened, her voice ringing with authority.
"Yes, my Lord!"
Michael and Gabriel replied in perfect unison.
In the Underworld, chaos reigned.
The angelic forces were led by Raphael, Uriel, and the other seraphim.
The Fallen Angels, with Azazel, Shemhazai, and Kokabiel at the helm, kept their distance, playing the part of reluctant participants.
But the devils?
They'd thrown everything into the fray. The four Devil Kings led the charge, backed by the seventy-two pillars of pureblood devil nobility and every elite warrior the Underworld could muster.
Explosions rocked the landscape, screams echoing through the darkness.
If not for the constant efforts of high-level magic users to contain the destructive energy, the Underworld itself would have been obliterated.
Suddenly, the four Devil Kings unleashed a surge of demonic power, catching the angelic side off guard.
Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Asmodeus—each one a legend, now standing at the heart of the battlefield.
Raphael and Uriel exchanged tense glances, wary of the overwhelming threat.
Azazel and Shemhazai, twelve black wings unfurled, drifted to the center, their voices low and cold.
"So, you plan to start a full-scale war while God's still wounded?"
Truth was, the Fallen Angels had no stake in this conflict—the devils had dragged them in as a precaution, afraid of a sudden betrayal.
As the weakest faction, the Fallen Angels played the role of bystanders, neither targeted nor trusted by the others.
Still, both angels and devils kept a wary eye on them, fearing a surprise attack.
Leviathan sneered.
"Hmph! Azazel, don't you see? With God injured, this is the perfect chance to erase her. The world doesn't need a power that strong."
A golden magic circle blazed to life at the battlefield's center.
A voice, regal and unyielding, echoed across the carnage.
"Is that so? Even if my power hasn't fully recovered, it's more than enough to wipe out a few devils."
Holy light erupted, blasting the four Devil Kings back and bathing the angels in healing radiance.
When the light faded, three figures stood at the heart of the battlefield:
The God of the Bible, Michael, and Gabriel.
Shock rippled through the ranks.
"What?!"
"God!!!"
Fear gripped the Devil Kings and Fallen Angels alike—this was the strongest being in all three realms.
Angels fell to their knees, eyes shining with devotion.
"Welcome, our Lord!"
Raphael, Uriel, and the seraphim breathed sighs of relief, hope rekindled.
Michael and Gabriel, though, exchanged worried glances. The goddess's wounds hadn't healed—her presence was a gamble, and the outcome was uncertain.
The Devil Kings recovered quickly, eyes gleaming with excitement rather than fear.
Lucifer's laughter echoed across the battlefield.
"Hahaha! Looks like your fight with the Beast Emperor left you crippled. Ready to fall?"
