Chapter 86 - 《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 86: Otherworldly Demons, Evil Gods, and an Unthinkable Threat

To keep his promise to Irina Shidou, Shuo made his way to the loli goddess's palace.

He stepped into the great hall—and there she was, sprawled across her throne like a lazy cat, limbs dangling, eyes half-lidded. If her followers saw their almighty God like this, Shuo thought, their faith might never recover.

He couldn't help himself.

"If your believers ever caught sight of their goddess lazing around like this, I swear, they'd lose it."

The loli goddess pouted, cheeks puffed out in annoyance.

"And you! What's with barging in here without a word?"

If I'd knocked, I wouldn't have caught you slacking off, he thought, grinning inwardly.

Seriously, this side of her completely shattered the image he'd built up in his head.

"Heh, actually, I wanted to ask you for a favor, Little Saint. Think you could help me out?"

Her interest piqued, she sat up, eyes bright.

"With your power, you still need my help? Now this I've got to hear."

Shuo hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck, suddenly sheepish.

"It's just… one of my wives is your follower. I promised her I'd help her reincarnate as an angel."

He glanced up, hoping she wouldn't laugh.

"So, I was wondering if you could spare me some of Heaven's faith energy? Just enough to make it happen."

The loli goddess fell silent, studying him with a look he couldn't quite read. Finally, she smirked.

"Heh. You really don't hold back, do you?"

She gave a theatrical sigh, but nodded.

"Fine. I'll give you some pure energy—enough to fulfill your wife's wish."

Shuo's face split into a wide grin. Unable to resist, he reached out and ruffled her hair.

"I knew I could count on you, Little Saint. You're the cutest and most generous goddess ever."

Her eyes went wide.

"Y-You—what do you think you're doing?!"

She slapped his hand away, cheeks blazing red, voice tripping over itself in indignation.

"Damn it, are you treating me like a kid again?!"

She glared, flustered, clearly remembering their first meeting—he'd hugged her on sight, and now this. Was there no end to this humiliation? The urge to bite him was real.

Shuo, seeing her on the verge of combusting, quickly changed the subject.

"So, uh, Little Saint, since you're planning to retire, how are you going to handle the upcoming three-faction war?"

She shot him a death glare, but then her lips curled into a sly smile.

"Well, since you're the one who stirred up all this trouble, you can clean it up yourself!"

Shuo's mouth twitched.

"In that case, when the three-faction war breaks out, we'll stick to the original story. You take out the Two Heavenly Dragons, then fake your death in a final clash with the Four Devil Kings and slip away."

He pinched the bridge of his nose, resigned.

Honestly, it was the best way to keep the timeline on track.

The loli goddess nodded, agreeing.

It was the only way to preserve the world's original trajectory.

Then a thought struck Shuo—one that had been nagging at him for ages.

"Little Saint, why did you insist on creating the Sacred Gears? Was it just to give humans a fighting chance against gods and demons? Or did you just find the challenge fun?"

She considered.

"Those are both part of it. But the real reason was to prepare for something worse—if beings from another world ever invaded ours, humanity would need a way to fight back."

Shuo's eyes widened.

"Wait—you know about the evil gods from the EXE world?"

He'd always assumed only Great Red knew about the multiverse, secretly protecting the DxD world from outside threats. But the loli goddess—she'd anticipated all this too?

"EXE world, huh? Sounds like you even know its name. Has our world already been invaded in the future?"

Her surprise was genuine, but as the possibility dawned on her, worry flickered across her face.

"Not yet," Shuo said quietly, "but it's coming. As for how I know… let's just say I can see the future."

She stared at him, eyes searching.

"You're full of secrets, aren't you? I'm honestly dying to know who you really are."

Shuo smirked.

"If you want to know my secrets, you'll have to agree to be my wife."

She snorted, half-amused, half-exasperated.

"So that's your angle, huh? Trying to marry me for my secrets?"

He laughed, raising his hands in surrender.

"Alright, alright, no more jokes. Back to business."

He sobered, voice dropping.

"Honestly, Little Saint, the Sacred Gears you made are great against most enemies, but they're nowhere near enough to stop the evil gods from EXE."

She frowned.

"Wait, you've seen those beings? How strong are they, really?"

Shuo's tone turned grim.

"They're monsters. In the future, even Great Red—the Dragon God Emperor—falls to them. He gets decapitated by Regalzeva, a demon god from EXE, and others like Melbazoa. They're all stronger than Great Red."

The loli goddess blanched, eyes wide with shock.

"Impossible… Even Great Red gets killed?!"

She couldn't wrap her mind around it. Great Red was the strongest being in the DxD world—even she couldn't beat him.

Shuo nodded, solemn.

"It's a disaster on a cosmic scale. If they invade, even the strongest here won't stand a chance."

For a long moment, the loli goddess was silent, the weight of it all settling on her shoulders. Even she—God of the Bible, ruler of Heaven—felt a chill.

But Shuo just crossed his arms, confidence radiating from him.

"Don't worry about the otherworldly invasion, Little Saint. I've got cards up my sleeve that can crush them. There's no way I'll lose."

She stared, stunned.

"You're not joking, are you?"

She'd never been this shocked in her entire existence.

But the look on Shuo's face told her—he meant every word.
