Chapter 85 - 《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 85: Gabriel’s Innocence and the Loli Goddess Who Delegates Everything

With his life level now boosted, Shuo felt like every problem had a solution. The biggest worries were off his shoulders. Next on his list: mastering the Azure Dragon's power until he could wield it as easily as breathing.

But now wasn't the time to use the [Life Level Evolution Card].

Because he'd arrived in Heaven.

A burst of dazzling light forced his eyes shut. When he opened them, curiosity got the better of him—he took in his surroundings, and the sight stole his breath.

Heaven was a masterpiece. Verdant mountains rolled into the distance, crystal lakes shimmered under an endless sky, and every inch of air hummed with pure, radiant holy light. Shuo felt at peace, more comfortable than he'd ever been.

He took a long, deep breath, letting the serenity wash over him. Relaxed, he turned to the loli goddess, unable to hide his awe.

"Little Saint, I could live here forever. Who'd ever want to leave?"

She lifted her chin, pride written all over her tiny face.

"Hmph! Gorgeous, right? I made this place myself. It's my greatest work!"

Shuo couldn't resist teasing.

"So… could you build me a place like this? Maybe a little bigger—my harem's getting kind of crowded."

The goddess's smug smile vanished. She froze, blinking, then turned to stare at him for a long, silent moment.

"You…"

Shuo scratched the back of his neck, grinning sheepishly.

"Kidding, kidding! Don't take it seriously, Little Saint."

Truth was, a holy haven like this would be pure torture for Rias and the others. Too much sacred energy—even a devil would be lucky to escape with a headache.

Before she could reply, the air shimmered with golden magic circles. Angels began to appear—dozens, maybe hundreds. Pure-blooded archangels, and far more seraphim than Shuo expected. Twelve-winged seraphim filled the sky, clearly more than four.

Guess the three-faction war had thinned their ranks—some must've fallen, or ended up like Azazel.

Leading the procession was none other than Michael, Heaven's vice-leader. At his side, a female angel whose beauty was almost unreal—Gabriel, one of the legendary four seraphim.

Shuo had never met Gabriel, but her reputation preceded her.

Light blue eyes, golden hair that cascaded like sunlight, and a figure that defied description: childlike face, but… well, let's just say she was the definition of "busty." Add her innocent, slightly airheaded aura, and Shuo was left speechless.

But it wasn't just looks. Gabriel radiated warmth and tranquility—a gentle, captivating presence that made her seem almost untouchable, like a flawless gem. No one could look at her and think anything impure.

The loli goddess nudged him, smirking.

"Why the wide eyes? Don't tell me you've got your heart set on Gabriel."

Shuo shot her a wicked grin.

"Is Little Saint planning to gift me Gabriel as a wife? If so, I won't say no!"

Even the loli goddess had to stifle a laugh, rolling her eyes.

"You wish. You've got enough women already. Don't even think about corrupting my seraphim!"

Shuo shrugged, not the least bit disappointed.

"Worth a shot."

By now, Michael and the angels had reached them.

They all stared at Shuo, still cloaked in holy light, clearly shocked that their Lord would treat a human with such respect.

Then, as one, they knelt before the loli goddess.

"Our Lord, we welcome Your return to Heaven!"

She waved them up, already slipping into her "boss mode."

"Rise."

Once everyone was on their feet, Michael stepped forward, concern etched on his face.

"Our Lord, what was the outcome of your battle with the Beast Emperor?"

The loli goddess straightened, voice full of authority.

"Rest easy. With my help, the Beast Emperor was eliminated by my friend's unique methods. The crisis is over."

The angels looked like they'd been struck by lightning.

Killed Beast Emperor 666?

Was that even possible for a human?

Everyone knew 666's power could wipe out worlds. Their Lord herself had once said she could only seal it, not destroy it. Now she claimed it was dead—at the hands of a human no less?

If anyone else had said it, they'd have called it madness. But coming from their Lord, disbelief turned to awe.

Michael and the others glanced at Shuo, finally understanding why their Lord treated him as a peer.

Maybe… maybe this human really was on her level.

A chill ran down their spines.

A human, with power to rival the divine? The thought alone was staggering.

The loli goddess continued, slipping seamlessly into delegation mode.

"I'm badly injured from the battle and need to rest. Michael, you'll handle Heaven's affairs."

She turned to Gabriel.

"Gabriel, arrange a residence for my friend—right next to my palace."

Michael and Gabriel bowed in perfect unison.

"Yes, Our Lord!"

But the angels couldn't stop staring at Shuo, curiosity burning in their eyes.

Gabriel, especially, looked up with that innocent, slightly dazed expression—Shuo's heart did a somersault.

Not long after, Gabriel led Shuo to his new quarters beside the goddess's palace.

As she left, Shuo checked the system's latest missions.

Mission discovered: Michael. Rank: Black. Condition: As Heaven's vice-leader, he must be able to stand on his own. After the goddess's disappearance, help him restore and master Heaven's system.

Mission discovered: Gabriel. Rank: Black. Condition: How can the crystal palace lack maids for the Host? Make Gabriel your maid!

Make Gabriel his maid?

That'd take Little Saint's approval—otherwise, no dice. Worst case, he'd just abduct the loli goddess herself.

But she was way too tsundere for that. This would be a long campaign, but he had all the time in the world.

Michael's mission…

Poor guy. When Little Saint was around, she dumped all the work on him. Now, with her gone, he was left running Heaven solo. No wonder the system had crashed after her death.

Once Shuo leveled up, he'd fix it—easy.

While pondering Heaven's system, Shuo suddenly remembered Irina Shidou.

Hadn't he promised her something?

Better ask the loli goddess for advice.

With that, he took off for her palace, ready to start the next round.
