Too weak? Satan-class... weak?!
Rias and the others could only stare at Shuo, speechless. For anyone else, that level would be terrifying. But for him? Maybe it really was nothing.
"Come on, let's regroup with Azazel and the others."
Shuo sheathed Excalibur, then quickly brought Rias and the group up to speed on the situation before leading them toward Sirzechs's location.
They walked as a loose-knit group, conversation flowing easily.
When Rias heard about Koneko and Kuroka's past, her heart ached for Koneko—and whatever lingering suspicion she had for Kuroka vanished. The girls welcomed Kuroka as one of their own.
Meanwhile, Shuo took the chance to open two Red-Tier system gift packs.
Ding! Congratulations, Host, on opening two Red-Tier Gift Packs. Rewards: [Complete Breathing Technique Set], [Oppai Dragon Song].
The smile vanished from Shuo's face, replaced by a look of utter resignation.
Breathing Techniques... from Demon Slayer, huh?
He sifted through the memories the system delivered: Yoriichi's legacy—breathing methods that supercharge heart and lungs, flooding the body with oxygen, letting a mere human rival a demon's strength. The original Sun Breathing, then Fire, Water, Wind, Stone, Thunder, and all the rest.
Honestly, not bad. He could pass them on to Xenovia, Kiba, Irina—anyone who used a sword.
But the Oppai Dragon Song...
Damn you, system. You couldn't have given me a Railgun photo album instead? Of all things, you reward me with that shameless Oppai Dragon Song? I'd rather die than sing a single note!
Shuo's face darkened, black lines all but visible as he mentally cursed the system's utter lack of decency.
Before he could spiral too far, several figures appeared ahead—Odin, the leaders of the Three Factions, Vali and his Khaos Brigade crew, and a girl in gothic lolita dress with long, jet-black hair and a blank, porcelain face.
The corner of Shuo's mouth quirked up.
Ophis, the Infinite Loli Dragon. Finally, we meet.
Vali, you're on a roll—first Kuroka, now you're basically handing me Ophis on a silver platter.
Ophis's gaze met his. For once, her usually flat eyes shimmered with emotion. The expressionless little loli actually looked excited, even infatuated.
"Finally... finally, I've found you, Nangong Shuo. I missed you."
A blur of motion—Ophis appeared before him, her small, delicate hands cupping his face. Her voice was soft, almost reverent.
Rias and the others tensed, wary. They didn't know Ophis's true identity, but her aura was terrifying—only Shuo could match it.
Vali caught Shuo's look and grinned.
"Looks like you've already figured it out. Shuo, this is our leader—Ophis."
"What? Ophis?!"
"She's the leader of the Khaos Brigade? The legendary Infinite Dragon God?!"
"She's... not what I expected at all."
The girls were dumbfounded. The infamous Infinite Dragon God, terrorist mastermind, turned out to be an emotionless, adorable loli in a frilly dress. Their worldview shattered on the spot.
At that moment, Shuo caught a glimpse of the system's latest mission:
Check-in Mission: Ophis. Gold Tier: Lure her home, dispel her desire to return to the Dimensional Gap.
The corners of Shuo's mouth twitched in satisfaction.
Ophis might be the strongest, but she was innocent—pure to the point of naivety. Everything she did was for one goal: defeat Great Red, reclaim her original peace in the Dimensional Gap.
Luring her home? Child's play. Convincing her to stay? Might take time, but I've got patience—and a few tricks up my sleeve.
He ruffled Ophis's hair, voice gentle.
"Ophis, did you need something from me?"
Instead of shying away, Ophis only leaned closer, her infatuation plain as day.
"The dragon inside you... it's stronger than Great Red. I want your help to defeat her, so I can return to my peace."
She hugged Shuo, tilting her head in that signature loli way—adorable and oddly heartbreaking.
"That's the only reason you came to find me?"
Shuo sighed.
Countless years old, and still pure as new-fallen snow. Maybe that's why people kept trying to use her—she was terrifyingly powerful, but emotionally defenseless.
Even knowing the Khaos Brigade were using her, Ophis still clung to hope. She just wanted to go home.
"Actually... I don't really know. I just wanted to see you. To stay with you. The feeling is... strong."
Shuo's expression softened.
Maybe it's a dragon thing—power attracts power, and the stronger the dragon, the stronger the pull.
He put on his best persuasive smile.
"How about staying with me for a while? Once my strength is back, I'll help you defeat Great Red and reclaim your home."
Of course, "recovering strength" was pure nonsense—he could tap into the Azure Dragon's power anytime. But if it kept Ophis close, he'd say whatever it took.
Rias and the others exchanged looks, all rolling their eyes.
Do you actually want to help her... or are you just after the cute loli? Shameless!
But this time, none of them objected.
After all, if Shuo could "abduct" the Khaos Brigade's leader, it would cripple their biggest threat. Future problems? Much easier to handle.
Ophis nodded, her voice as soft as a breeze.
"I want to stay with you."
She tipped her head up and pressed a feather-light kiss to Shuo's lips.
"This is... what humans call a thank-you gift."
For a split second, a blush colored her otherwise blank face—adorable beyond words.
Shuo was stunned, but his delight was obvious.
Azazel, watching from the sidelines, grinned like a proud aunt.
Sirzechs glanced at Rias, then sighed.
Rias, your dream of being the main wife might be slipping away...
