Chapter 151 - 《DXD: Multiverse Journey》Chapter 151: The Purple-Gold Mission—Great Red

Michael's warm smile never faltered, his blessing for Shuo sincere and gentle.

"Haha! Kid, your luck with women is something else!"

Odin's eyes twinkled with mischief.

Shuo shot Odin a look, lips twitching in annoyance.

Old man never misses a chance to tease.

Azazel's gaze suddenly sharpened, settling on Vali—the White Dragon Emperor.

"So, Vali, was Khaos Brigade behind this attack too?"

There was a hint of worry in his voice. As Vali's foster father, he truly hoped his adopted son hadn't crossed the line.

Everyone—Odin, Sirzechs, the whole gathering—turned to Vali, waiting for his answer.

Vali met their stares, voice cool and steady.

"Don't get the wrong idea. Ophis and I don't care about ruling the world. The Old Satan Faction acted on their own this time."

He paused, glancing at Ophis.

"We're here for two reasons: to see Nangong Shuo, and to use Beelzebub's dimensional space and the Longinus, Dimension Lost, to meet Great Red. I live for strong opponents. Ophis just wants to return to the Dimensional Gap. The rest? They're only after Ophis's power."

Sirzechs and the others exchanged surprised glances, eyes lingering on Ophis.

So the Khaos Brigade wasn't a single unified force—Ophis was just the wellspring of power.

And now, with Ophis lured away by Shuo, was the Khaos Brigade finished?

A sudden, bone-shaking roar ripped through the air.

The dark red sky fractured like glass, a gaping black hole opening above. The pressure that poured out was suffocating—enough to make the Underworld's heavens flicker and dim.

Heads snapped upward. Eyes widened in disbelief.

From the heart of the black hole, a colossal red dragon burst forth.

Its entire body was a blazing crimson, scales gleaming with a gold-red sheen that seemed to armor its back and torso in indestructible plates.

A single curved, razor-sharp horn crowned its head; golden, slit-pupiled eyes burned with regal intensity.

Claws like swords flexed, the air itself trembling beneath the dragon's presence.

Most awe-inspiring of all were its four wings—vast, blood-red sails that blotted out the sky.

Even at a distance, the dragon's majesty and power radiated in waves, making hearts pound and knees weaken.

"Holy crap, that thing is gigantic!"

"That's the real Great Red?"

"Unbelievable… It's even stronger than my lord!"

"Great Red, indeed…"

Even Sirzechs and Odin, beings of immense power, could only bow their heads in reverence.

The legendary Great Red—the True Dragon, born from the dreams of the world, the crimson beast of Revelation—had appeared before them for the first time.

The pressure warped the very air of the Underworld, sending ripples through reality itself.

Sirzechs, Odin, and the rest broke out in cold sweat, their nerves stretched taut.

Great Red's power was beyond imagination.

And yet, even this cosmic juggernaut would one day fall to an otherworldly evil god—a thought that sent chills down every spine.

Thank goodness Shuo is here. Without him, this world wouldn't stand a chance against what's coming.

Ophis stepped forward, her voice calm and unwavering.

"Great Red, it's been a long time."

She raised her right hand, forming a finger-gun and miming a shot at the dragon.

"One day, I will reclaim my silence."

Shuo watched, helpless amusement flickering in his eyes.

Ophis's longing for the Dimensional Gap was stubborn—what was so appealing about returning to lonely isolation?

Changing her mind would take time. He'd have to keep working at it.

He looked up at the soaring Great Red, awe and calculation mixing in his thoughts.

Check-in Character: True Great Red. Gold Tier: Defeat.

But the task glimmered with a hint of purple—more purple-gold than pure gold.

No wonder. Great Red was the strongest dragon in the DxD world. By power scale, she was almost in the triple digits.

Without tapping into the Azure Dragon's strength, Shuo wasn't sure he could win.

Maybe the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception would work, but Great Red was the world's guardian—he couldn't just kill her for a mission.

He could defeat her whenever he wanted, but now wasn't the time.

If he did, Ophis might return to the Dimensional Gap, undoing all his efforts.

Better to wait—let Ophis fall in love with the chaos and warmth of human life.

Then, when the time was right, he could challenge Great Red.

The dragon's form lingered for only moments before fading back into the Dimensional Gap.

Even with Beelzebub's dimensional barrier and the Longinus, the world couldn't withstand Great Red's true power for long.

The chaos finally subsided.

Back at the palace, the girls eyed Shuo with expressions that were equal parts curiosity and mischief.

He strolled in, one hand holding Ophis—the Infinite Loli Dragon—and the other grasping Le Fay Pendragon, looking utterly relaxed.

Why was Le Fay with him?

Simple. Shuo had "borrowed" her—well, Vali had handed her over as repayment for past favors.

Vali, what a stand-up guy.

First Kuroka, then Ophis, and now Le Fay—he'd delivered them all to Shuo, just to be sure.

(Vali: "…")

With the deaths of Shalba, Creuserey, and the other Old Satan heirs, and Vali's refusal to inherit the Lucifer name, the Old Satan Faction collapsed overnight.

After the Underworld settled the aftermath, the new generation Devils' Rating Game began.

The final showdown was, of course, Rias versus Sona.

Sairaorg was strong, but his peerage couldn't match Rias or Sona's. He fought valiantly, nearly pulling off an upset, but ultimately lost.

Still, his solo performance—nearly taking on three teams by himself—earned him the title of strongest among the new generation Devil Kings.

In the championship match, Sona's tactical brilliance nearly turned the tide, but Rias's team simply outclassed them in raw strength.

Victory went to Rias—by the narrowest of margins.

Both Rias and Sona's performances won the admiration of the entire Devil community.
