"A daughter, huh?"
Silver left out a chuckle, then her voice rose with controlled anger, "What? Did you conveniently fail so spectacularly in your duty to protect your daughter? You invited me to your manor, hosted a party with me in it, and yet, I ended up lost in the forest, at the mercy of… who knows what? And you said you treat me like you're daughter."
"Do you realize how laughable you sound, right now?"
Revaiosa gasped, her hand flying to her chest. "Princess, you can't possibly think…" she began, her voice trembling with feigned hurt. As if Silver would believe all that pretense.
"You can't think that I had anything to do with this?"
"What I think," Silver said, cutting her off, "is that you were negligent. You were careless. You were more concerned with playing hostess than with ensuring my safety. Do you know what is the punishment for failing to protect me?!"
