"This… what is this?"
Peggy Carter's eyes widened as she looked at Allens clad in the white Quantum Suit.
She had once heard Steve Rogers talk about traveling from the future, but how it worked had never been explained. Now, seeing the futuristic Quantum Suit, she was stunned.
"Allens, didn't your husband tell you? That suit is from the future. Its core is powered by Pym Particles."
Allens glanced down with satisfaction at a device on his waist, marked with a tiny ant emblem—the heart of the suit, containing the Pym Particles.
What thrilled him most was the suit's built-in, independent intelligent core. The data streamed before his eyes like a waterfall.
'Veronica No. 028 intelligent core at your service. Confirming permissions…'
'Warning: host data lost. Retrieving…'
'Retrieval failed. Veronica does not exist in this time and space. Loading default permissions…'
'Permissions loaded. User data collected. Pupil scan complete. Fingerprint scan complete. Default user operation permissions granted.'
A mechanical female voice echoed in Allens' ear as the holographic data disappeared. A watch-like display appeared on the suit, confirming the suit's full functionality.
"Peggy."
As Allens examined the suit, Steve Rogers finally arrived at Peggy's side. He hurled his Vibranium shield with precise force.
Whoosh… whoosh… whoosh.
The shield struck Allens' psychokinesis barrier, ricocheted off the wall, spun in the air, and slammed into him from behind.
Boom.
Although psychokinesis is a mental ability, the shield absorbed some of the energy and threw Allens violently across the room.
"Ahem… Steve Rogers," Allens muttered, dazed. The impact still reverberated through his body despite his protective barrier.
"Boy… is that you? And how do you know about the Quantum Suit?" Rogers asked, narrowing his eyes.
The suit was his greatest secret. Tony Stark had warned long ago: if the past were crossed, the suit's ownership could be lost due to the missing Veronica core. Anyone wearing it could initiate the traversal program.
Whoosh.
The shield returned to Rogers' hands in a perfect arc.
"Allens… you really understand physics, don't you?" Rogers said, his tone grim but measured.
Allens smirked. "We meet again, Captain Rogers." He twisted his neck, standing firmly on the ground, his interest piqued.
"You know who I am, Allens."
Steve Rogers had long considered maintaining the stability of the timeline his duty. Meeting Allens earlier had raised questions, but now it was clear: this man knew too much about the future.
"You sent the previous message, didn't you?" Rogers said, realization dawning.
"How many divergences have you caused by traveling to the past?" Allens asked, his eyes cold and serious. The question struck Rogers like a physical blow—2023 had already been a mistake.
"We corrected the past and prevented time divergences from taking root," Rogers replied steadily, his voice carrying the weight of experience.
"Allens, is that true? If there was no impact, Hank Pym would never have left S.H.I.E.L.D. You went back to ensure events happened exactly as they should."
Allens raised his hand. The table before him lifted into the air and slammed toward Rogers.
Boom.
Rogers, enhanced by the super soldier serum, reacted instantly. His body curled as he raised the shield to block the impact.
"Allens… what else do you know?" Rogers demanded, cautious and calculating.
"You sacrificed your past for your future," Allens said. "Thanos was right: whoever wields the Infinity Stones must pay a price."
Objects around them obeyed Allens' psychokinesis, striking with precision. An illusory dial appeared on his hand. He set it to 2008 and locked eyes with Rogers.
"Stop this, Allens," Rogers warned, stepping forward with shield raised. "You're destabilizing the timeline!"
Allens smiled coldly. "You think I'm a villain. That doesn't matter. From the moment I awakened, I had a goal: control my destiny. To do that, I need strength. Hero or villain—irrelevant."
"Well, goodbye, Captain Rogers."
He pressed a button, shrinking his body into quantum space.
"Allens… I will stop you, no matter the cost," Rogers vowed, clenching his fists.
For so long, Rogers had been an observer of history. But Allens' appearance made him realize that now, he could reclaim his agency.
A new enemy had arisen—one who could, Rogers feared, surpass even Thanos.
