"Click, click, click."
In the Afterlife, among the advancing HYDRA soldiers, a Terrigen crystal shattered, and a wave of Terrigen Mist swept out.
"F**k, what the hell is this?"
"My body… it's turning to stone!"
"No! Help—"
Screams echoed as HYDRA soldiers inhaled the mist and petrified one by one. Their guns clattered to the ground as their bodies crumbled into shards. The organized assault collapsed instantly.
"Hmph, pathetic humans."
Jiaying sneered. Ever since Whitehall had torn her apart, she had abandoned her human identity. She no longer saw herself as human—only as the leader of the Inhumans.
But her expression shifted.
"Where's that bitch Raina?"
Scanning the battlefield, Jiaying frowned. Raina was nowhere to be seen, and a bad premonition rose in her chest.
"Peng!"
A shadow dropped from the sky. From a Quinjet hundreds of meters above, a figure plummeted and landed with a thunderous crash.
"Who—?!"
The Inhumans recoiled in shock. No human should have survived such a fall.
"At last, Inhumans… we meet."
Allens stood tall, his body wrapped in telekinetic energy. The shock of the landing dispersed harmlessly around him. He cracked his neck, his predatory gaze sweeping across Jiaying and her people.
"Who are you? Why are you attacking us?" Jiaying demanded coldly. This man wasn't using illusions—she truly didn't know him.
Allens' lips curled into a cruel smile.
"As lambs about to be slaughtered, you deserve to know. My name is Allens. The man who will wipe out your entire race."
A chill rippled through the Inhumans. His gaze was like that of a predator sizing up prey.
"Arrogant fool. Do you even know who you're facing? We are Inhumans, each with extraordinary powers!"
Young Lori Talorin snapped. Rage flashed in her eyes as she raised her hands to unleash microwaves—yet nothing happened.
"What the—?! My powers… they're gone?!" Her voice cracked in horror.
Others panicked.
"My ability isn't working either!"
"I can't fly!" Leo Zhang shouted as he leapt uselessly.
Lincoln Campbell tried to spark electricity between his hands, but not even a spark appeared.
Gordon's blind eyes narrowed. "It's you. You've blocked our powers." His voice was cold. His quantum sense told him their gifts still existed, only forcibly suppressed.
Allens ignored him. Instead, he lifted a hand, his telekinesis wrapping around Lori Talorin.
"Peng."
She was ripped off her feet, suspended helplessly in front of him. Her bravado had vanished, leaving only terror.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Jiaying shouted. Even she could not read this young man. His ability to suppress powers shook her to the core.
"Chi, chi, chi."
With a casual motion of his finger, Allens sliced open Lori's skull. Her screams echoed as her cerebral cortex was exposed.
"Let's see… where is your ability hiding?"
He crouched, tracing her brain's neural pathways with frightening precision. His eyes gleamed with cold calculation.
"Ah. Microwave emission… it heats matter, just like an oven."
A small orb of heat condensed in his palm, twisting the air as the temperature spiked.
"Not bad."
Allens stood, stepping over Lori's corpse. His gaze locked on Jiaying and the others.
"You monster…" Lincoln's voice shook. Even Alyssa was trembling. They had seen killers before—but never someone who dissected brains as casually as this.
"The Inhumans' abilities truly are fascinating."
Allens raised his hand. Leo Zhang floated helplessly into the air. Another flick of his finger, another skull sliced open.
"Flight… useful."
He glanced at the exposed brain, traced the circuits, and instantly understood the mechanics of flight.
"Peng."
Leo's lifeless body dropped to the dirt. Allens stepped forward again, his shadow falling over Alyssa.
She screamed. "Stay away from me, you devil!"
But retreat was useless. His telekinesis dragged her forward. In seconds, her skull was split open and she collapsed, eyes wide with terror.
"Chi, chi, chi."
Allens rose, and his form flickered. Five duplicates appeared around him, each with its own independent consciousness, yet bound to his will.
A smirk tugged at his lips. "Duplication… impressive. Marvel's version of shadow clones."
His eyes shifted toward Jiaying, Gordon, and Lincoln—the strongest among them. Gordon's quantum teleportation, Jiaying's life-force absorption, Lincoln's control of electricity…
A cruel hunger gleamed in Allens' gaze.
