Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 The First Confrontation Between Allens And Ancient One

Sokovia—The Avengers were trapped in a boundless illusion. They could no longer distinguish reality from illusion, leaving them utterly vulnerable.

Dr. Bruce Banner stood quietly, eyes glazed over. A lullaby played softly beside him, calming his mind. There was no trace of anger—only serenity.

Boom, boom, boom.

Iron Man Tony Stark, Captain America Steve Rogers, and Hawkeye Clint Barton crashed to the ground from mid-air, kicking up clouds of smoke.

Thor flew above, surrounded by lightning and thunder, locked in combat with his brother Loki within the illusionary world.

Natasha Romanoff fell into a memory. Her armor automatically activated defensive measures, while the other Avengers indiscriminately fired, destroying ten buildings around them.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

On the ground, Quicksilver Pietro raced, dodging missiles with incredible speed. In a blink, he appeared before Tony Stark, grabbed him, and smashed them both into a building wall.

Above, Ultron's sensors glowed. Data streamed through his eyes as a silver-white Ultron, larger and more powerful than the others, emerged from the building, tearing through the sky—Ultron had evolved once again.

Kala… kala…

A fragment of mirror dimension spread rapidly over Sokovia, enveloping the city. The mirror space shattered, and so too did the phantoms that had haunted Sokovia.

Within the mirror space, the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One, held a glowing golden ring. Though the mirror dimension was separate from reality, and the Avengers could not perceive her intervention, Ancient One silently aided them.

"Is that… the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One?"

In Ultron's base, Allens, seated on his metal throne, opened his eyes and stopped tapping his hand. The Mind Stone on his forehead trembled slightly—the faintest fluctuation caused by the Ancient One.

Even from the mirror dimension, Allens' super-ability to perceive thoughts and energy allowed him to sense Ancient One's presence.

Swish.

Instantly, Allens' body was surrounded by a princely blue aura, disappearing from the base. In the mirror dimension, a circle of blue light opened, and Allens stepped out.

"Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj… have you come to join the battle?"

Appearing within the mirror dimension, Allens' eyes glinted as he regarded the upside-down city and fixed his gaze on the Ancient One. His voice was calm.

"You shouldn't be here, Allens."

Ancient One's expression betrayed a hint of surprise. She frowned slightly, her voice calm yet firm.

Tick… tick…

Allens' super-ability to perceive the laws of the world flared to life, scanning Ancient One with unmatched intensity. This time, the feeling was more exhilarating than ever.

"I seem to have forgotten… the magicians of Kamar-Taj. Ancient One, it was you all along."

A cold smile crossed Allens' face. Seeing Ancient One reminded him of the sorcerers he had underestimated. He knew now it had been her trick all along.

"Mirror Image Expulsion!"

A fan-shaped magic ring condensed in Ancient One's right hand. She waved it, and the city beneath Allens in the mirror dimension began to move.

Rumble.

The city was real, rolling and tumbling toward Allens. Buildings rose, fell, and slammed from every direction.

"Phase."

Allens instantly altered the molecular density of his body. Every building passed harmlessly through him. When the city completed its assault, Allens remained unscathed.

"The Crimson Chains of Settorak."

Ancient One's right hand traced a circle, and crimson chains formed in her left hand, shooting toward Allens with the force to bind even Thanos.

"Shockwave!"

Allens clenched his right fist, a layer of Vibe energy coating it, and punched out.

Boom.

The explosion shattered the crimson chains inch by inch. The shockwave radiated outward, pulverizing surrounding buildings.

Whoosh.

Allens appeared before Ancient One, striking with a punch that sent air churning around them.

"Magic Shield!"

Ancient One extended her right hand, instantly forming a golden shield to block Allens' punch. Simultaneously, a magical whip coalesced in her left hand, wrapping tightly around Allens' arm.

Peng.

The shield shattered under the force, and the whip pulled Allens' arm to a halt.

Crackling with energy, Allens' control over electricity activated. A surge of electric current traveled along the whip, striking at Ancient One.

Unfazed, Ancient One remained calm. Her left palm turned outward, right hand tracing a circle. At Allens' feet, a ball of electric sparks appeared, opening ten portals.

Swish.

Caught off guard, Allens was sucked into a portal. He emerged in the freezing North Pole. The portal above him shrank rapidly, but Allens' super-ability granted him extreme cold resistance.

"Mary Falk… you truly deserve the title of Sorcerer Supreme."

Scanning the glacier, Allens admired the Ancient One's power. Opening a quantum bridge, he teleported back to Sokovia.

Focusing his senses, Allens noted the Ancient One had disappeared.

His eyes darkened. The Ancient One's appearance had reminded him of Kamar-Taj, and the power of the magicians there stirred his greed.

But now was not the time.

"The Ancient One isn't carrying the Eye of Agamotto… is it stored in the library pavilion?"

Allens recalled the details of the battle and realized Ancient One lacked the Eye of Agamotto, which fueled his speculation.

"Forget it. Let's deal with the Avengers first."

His eyes turned icy. Though Ancient One's magic was formidable, Allens was unafraid. With his ability to phase through matter, he was effectively invincible.
