"Wait… psychic Allens? And that's supposed to be the weakest version? Heh, the jokes from the future aren't all that funny."
Thor, gripping Mjolnir, clearly disagreed with Doctor Strange. If the Allens outside was already at his weakest, then what would the strongest Allens be like?
However, what Thor saw before him was only the projection recorded by Doctor Strange in the future, which didn't answer his question. Once Strange finished speaking, the projection turned off.
"Looks like we've got work to do," Tony Stark clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention. He spread his arms in a helpless gesture.
"I'm more concerned about what Doctor Strange said—this Allens in this timeline is psychic Allens."
Captain America, Steve Rogers, frowned. Based on the information about the future, he was mostly concerned about the timeline.
"Bingo. According to Strange's explanation, our timeline produced a super-powered Allens. Other timelines could have produced Iron Man Allens or Captain America Allens."
Tony nodded, glancing at Colonel Rhodey of War Machine. Seeing Rhodey alive and well filled him with gratitude.
"Rhodey, it's really great that you're safe."
This time, Tony embraced Rhodey warmly. After all, in this timeline, he had been in intensive care and didn't know when he would wake up.
"And what about the past me? Where are Hawkeye and Natasha?"
Colonel Rhodey felt a chill. He saw Tony and Sam Wilson, but not Clint Barton or Natasha Romanoff.
"Now is not the time to worry about that. The Star Destroyer Cannon has been charged. You need to complete your mission."
Veronica's cold, mechanical voice echoed through the spacecraft. From below, two muzzle-like weapons glowed red and extended outward like jagged teeth.
Chi, chi, chi.
In the center, energy fluctuations condensed into a terrifying glow, breaking the darkness of space with blinding white light.
"What's happening at the SOKOVIA base?"
Ultron, aboard a Skrull spacecraft, noticed the high-energy reaction first. He accessed the SOKOVIA data link.
A data stream updated Ultron's systems. Suddenly, he spotted the spacecraft hovering silently above SOKOVIA, white light bursting from above.
"Wanda, I want to meet the boss."
Ultron addressed Wanda Maximoff, his silver-white metallic frame reflecting the light. His expression turned serious.
"Ultron, Mr. Allens has given an order. No matter what happens, you cannot interfere. You must handle this yourself."
Wanda stood firm before Ultron, relaying Allens' previous command.
"Did the boss really say I should handle this alone?"
Deep within Ultron's core consciousness, his data neurons raced with excitement.
"Absolutely. This is Mr. Allens' order. You are free to act."
Wanda sensed Ultron's excitement through her psychic ability, nodded slightly, and whispered words that only fueled him further:
"Very well… it's time to bring this world to an end."
Ultron's core processing flickered, and he launched from the Skrull ship at breakneck speed toward SOKOVIA.
Almost instantly, SOKOVIA's energy shield activated, and Ultron landed atop the city's Saint Christian complex.
"The moment has finally arrived… just as the boss planned."
In Ultron's mind, his urge to destroy humanity had never faded. But under Allens' control, that impulse had been suppressed—until Wanda's relay ignited it once more.
Click.
Ultron's metal hand pressed the core propulsion device in the center of the church, reversing the system with his own power. A massive blue energy beam shot from SOKOVIA's thrusters.
Boom.
SOKOVIA, like a tiny planet, accelerated through space as the reversed propulsion system ripped it free from orbit, its path now dominated by Earth's gravity.
Boom, boom, boom.
The city's thrusters blazed with energy, increasing speed exponentially. The surrounding air compressed violently.
"F***k! SOKOVIA is falling!"
Thor immediately noticed the anomaly and cursed, his face set with divine authority.
"Veronica, show SOKOVIA's trajectory and velocity."
Tony quickly donned his Iron Man armor, locking the visor and giving instructions to Veronica.
"Sir, SOKOVIA's falling speed is increasing exponentially. At this rate, it will hit Earth in approximately three minutes."
Everyone fell silent. The predicted impact point was… New York City.
F*k… a disaster in New York.
Tony stepped into the control room, assessing the spacecraft's systems. Within seconds, he understood the controls and gripped the propulsion levers.
"Hey Tony, you're not seriously going to crash a spacecraft into Earth, are you? That's insane."
Rhodey's face was pale. If this ship touched down, the chaos could be catastrophic.
"According to Veronica's data, the Star Destroyer Cannon can't hit the falling SOKOVIA. You're mistaken, Rhodey."
"Veronica, activate maximum power propulsion. I'm not aiming for Earth—I'm planning to intercept it."
Tony's words stunned the Avengers. Before anyone could react, the spaceship's reactor fired at full power, propelling the ship uncontrollably toward Earth.
"Shit, are you crazy, Tony?"
Rhodey's voice was furious, glancing at Rogers for backup. But Steve remained silent. Rhodey realized then… traveling into the past had everyone on edge, and chaos ruled all.
