"F***k, Thor, are you showing off? Hey, I'm the future king of Asgard, and the Kree's ships all kneel before me."
Even as he was about to be pulled into the spaceship, Tony Stark didn't forget to curse at Thor. Clearly, Tony still carried some envy for Thor's godlike physique.
Peng, peng, peng!
On the deck of the Kree spacecraft, the Avengers appeared one after another, freed from their restraints. Captain America, Steve Rogers, raised his Vibranium shield first, scanning the surroundings warily.
"Friday, scan the area."
Tony Stark turned his head, taking in the strange alien facilities inside the ship while giving commands to Friday through his armor.
Bzzzt—pop.
But unexpectedly, the A.I. that had always been Tony's most reliable partner suddenly glitched, her voice cutting off as his HUD was scrambled by electromagnetic interference.
Then—drop.
The screen cleared, replaced by the image of a beautiful woman. Tony blinked. It was the idealized woman he had designed in his mind. His brows furrowed.
"SIR, I am an artificial intelligence from your future… my name is Veronica."
The cold, mechanical female voice snapped Tony back to reality. She wasn't just any A.I.—her computing power was terrifying. In mere seconds, she had invaded Friday's system and completely suppressed her.
"My future self… created an A.I. like you?"
Tony stared at her holographic projection. He didn't doubt her words—because this woman's image was exactly the one he had designed after countless late nights, the perfect fusion of Western and Eastern aesthetics.
"Hey Tony, looks like your future self is a lot more mature and charming than you are now."
The hatch ahead opened, and War Machine walked out. Colonel James Rhodes immediately embraced Tony with enthusiasm, then gave Falcon a hearty hug.
"Sam—it's great to see you alive."
Falcon, Sam Wilson, looked bewildered. His expression twisted into confusion at Rhodey's words.
"Alright, let me guess—you're all from the future, huh? The quantum shuttle theory wasn't meant to be used like this."
Tony Stark, who could rival gods with nothing but his mortal body and genius, pieced the situation together in an instant. His frown deepened.
"Veronica, didn't my future self realize that time travel through quantum theory could lead to disaster?"
Tony's expression grew serious. The quantum realm was unpredictable—chaos incarnate. He couldn't imagine that his future self would overlook such risks.
"In truth, sir… you have no idea how bad things will become."
Veronica's voice remained emotionless, but it made every Avenger's face harden.
Click, click, click.
Tony opened the control panel on his wrist. At his command, all of the Avengers' battle suits folded back into compact cases.
"Veronica, explain yourself."
Even Rogers could hear her voice, and as the team's leader, he needed answers.
"Captain Rogers… the future is already on the brink of collapse.
Thanos snapped his fingers and erased half the life in the universe.
In order to bring them back, the Avengers launched a desperate plan. Guided by Scott Lang's quantum theory, they traveled through time."
Rogers fell silent, his mind racing. If Veronica described the future as precarious, then perhaps the situation was already beyond saving.
"Hey Veronica—I like the nickname, 'purple potato head.'"
Tony smirked, clearly proud of himself.
"Sir, that was your idea. In the future, you named Thanos after a purple potato."
Tony chuckled, his mustache twitching upward. Yep—that was definitely his style.
"Tony… our future selves failed."
Rhodey's eyes were heavy with guilt. In that war, Thanos had easily obtained all six Infinity Stones without even breaking a sweat.
"Sir, Doctor Strange asked me to deliver his message from the future."
Veronica's voice echoed again as she projected a hologram. In it, Doctor Stephen Strange, cloaked in crimson, sat cross-legged amidst ruins, his expression grave.
"Tony… you must be wondering who your real enemy is. Rhodey, you're also wondering."
Around him were battle-worn Avengers, nearly all present—except Iron Man.
"Tony, Thanos was defeated—twice."
Before Tony could react, Rhodey's eyes widened in shock.
"Maria Hill, weren't we still working on gathering the Infinity Stones?"
Rhodey's face was full of confusion. If he hadn't returned yet, then how could Thanos already be defeated—twice?
"Time is short, so listen. Thanos may be gone, but an even more terrifying enemy has appeared… one you're already familiar with."
The Avengers exchanged uneasy glances. Tony stepped closer to Strange's projection.
"Allens?"
Thanos was already terrifying—yet there was someone worse? Remembering the mission after Morag, Rhodey immediately thought of Allens.
"To be precise… the Allens of this timeline is what I call 'Superman Allens.'"
The Avengers frowned, unable to fully grasp Strange's words.
"I've observed countless timelines. In each one, Allens evolves differently. In this one, he has absorbed the powers of the Inhumans. His strength has grown exponentially—enough to defeat the Hulk head-on, and his combined powers are capable of destroying Earth itself.
But… this version of Allens, despite his terrifying abilities, is also the easiest to kill. His body only has the durability of a super-soldier. If you get close enough and drive a Vibranium blade into his heart—you can end him."
Doctor Strange's gaze swept across them.
"Take heart, Avengers. This 'Superman Allens' is the weakest incarnation across all timelines. If you stand united—you can defeat him, and save the future once and for all."
