"Anyway, that's all the things you need to pay attention to. As long as everyone pays more attention to it, you won't lose points from the house.

But even if you occasionally make mistakes and get deducted points, it doesn't matter. We Hufflepuffs don't care about this. As long as everyone is happy at Hogwarts, that's all that matters."

Prefect Harris was talking to the crowd, while Kyle sat at the outermost edge, silently lowering his head.

"Kyle, why are you here? I've been looking for you for a long time."

At this time, Cedric walked over and handed him a glass of juice, saying, "Fresh orange juice. A glass before bed is definitely a good choice."

Kyle didn't take it, and didn't even look up. He just waved at Cedric, indicating that he didn't need it.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

"No, I'm just feeling a little sleepy," Kyle said in a slightly hurried voice, still not looking up. "And I don't like to drink before bed. Why don't you ask someone else?"

This unusual behavior naturally piqued Cedric's curiosity. He took two tentative steps to the left, only to find that Kyle had almost simultaneously turned in the opposite direction.

Something was wrong, absolutely wrong.

"Okay, then I'll ask another first-year." Cedric quickly walked to the side, then held his breath, moving his steps as lightly as possible. He circled around Kyle again, calculated his position, and quickly lay down on the ground.

Kyle was still wondering when he could return to the dorm when a furry head suddenly appeared before his eyes.

The two of them locked eyes...

"Kyle, what's wrong with your eye? Why are there such big dark circles?"

 "Nothing!"

Kyle quickly raised his hand to cover his left eye, saying seriously, "I just bumped into the table. Bruises and all that are normal."

"How could a fall have been that round?" Cedric sat down on the floor, rubbing his chin. "It looks like someone punched me."

"Impossible! You're overthinking it!" Kyle said sternly. "Even if you don't believe me, don't you believe Hufflepuff? This is the warmest family in all of Hogwarts. How could there be such violent people?"

"That's right. Could it really have been from a fall?" Cedric nodded in agreement.

He also didn't believe a Hufflepuff would assault a first-year on the first day of school; that kind of thing usually happened in Slytherin.

But he still couldn't understand why the dark circles were so round if they had been from a fall.

 Coincidence?

Just as Cedric was puzzled, Prefect Harris's meeting ended.

"From today on, we're classmates. If you need any help, just let me know. Don't be shy.

Hufflepuff is a warm family, and every senior, including me, will help you.

You must be tired by now. I'll take you to your dorms. Patty, you'll take care of the girls."

Kyle, as if granted amnesty, quickly stood up from the sofa and followed the group. He didn't even say hello to Cedric before leaving.

Led by Harris, Kyle quickly arrived at his dorm.

Like the common room, the main colors were yellow and black.

Copper lamps cast a warm glow on the four-poster bed, and a copper bed warmer hung on the wall, keeping the young wizard's bed at the perfect temperature.

He shared a dorm with two other people:

Mikel Drake, a thin, dark-haired boy, and Ryan Baggins, a blond and more muscular man.

Well, both were relatively unknown strangers.

As for the remaining bed, it was empty, probably because there weren't enough new students.

Kyle tilted his head, briefly greeted the two, and climbed onto the bed.

"Hey, this is amazing, isn't it? I'm actually a wizard." Mikel sat on the edge of the bed and said excitedly: "No one in my family knows magic. My father sells drills and my mother works in a bank. So when I first received the letter, I thought it was just a prank, but I didn't expect it to be true. Haha, Hogwarts... I still think I was dreaming."

"I'm half and half, which is what wizards often call a half-blood."

Ryan with golden hair echoed: "My father is a wizard and my mother is a Muggle. She was scared when she found out the truth."

"Of course, this is the case for people who have never been exposed to magic." Mikel said: "You may not imagine, when that professor named Quirrell showed up at our house, my parents almost called the police.

He just stood in front of us all of a sudden, and said that it was called a displacement... movement?"

"Apparition." Kyle whispered a reminder from the side.

 "Yeah, that's right, Apparition."

Mikkel looked over, his eyes suddenly lighting up. "Hey, I remember you. You're Kyle Chopper, the one who took twenty minutes to sort, right?"

"Yes, nice to meet you," Kyle replied.

"Um, can you tell us what happened?" Mikkel asked curiously. "Why did your sorting take so long? Twenty minutes, longer than all the new students combined."

"Nothing much," Kyle thought for a moment. "It's just that the Sorting Hat kept trying to decide where to put me. It just couldn't make up its mind."

"I see," Mikel sighed. "You must be pretty good to have taken that long."

Kyle just smiled and said nothing.

He was definitely good, but that had nothing to do with the Sorting Hat.

And if Mikel knew the real reason for the Sorting Hat's confusion, he probably wouldn't have said that.

For the next few minutes, Mikel was like a maniac, talking non-stop. He talked about Diagon Alley, Gringotts, Ollivander's, and choosing a wand, without stopping.

It seems that being a wizard really makes him very happy.

At the beginning, Kyle and Ryan could still chat a few words, but gradually, only Mikel's voice was heard in the dormitory.

There is no way, I can't stand it.

I feel sleepy after eating, and I have been on the train for more than ten hours. It is not easy to force myself to stay awake until now.

Kyle also wants to talk to his roommates and improve their friendship, but the bed is too comfortable and he fell into a deep sleep without knowing it.

Ryan next to him fell asleep even faster and was silent five minutes ago.
