Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: A Filthy Minotaur Like You DARED To Touch MY MOTHER?!

If there was one thing that Grover had to agree on, it was that both Adamas and Percy are mysterious and terrifying.

The moment he had first interacted with Percy, he was absolutely terrified of him. He have faced his superiors and gods and there are a lot of them that can make him afraid. But, none of them came close to Percy. From the way he talks, the way he held himself, and from the way he even commanded him to call him Perseus instead of Percy, he emits an aura that commands one to obey, respect, and fear without hesitation.

For some reason, he is far more terrifying than even the Big Three themselves. Almost like he was, somehow, older and more powerful than the sons of Kronos.

How is that even possible?

And then there's Adamas, Percy's sister, or so as she claims. She claims that she's older than him for a few years and that she's been held back for several grades for personal reasons. Despite being kind to him generally, it felt like she only did it because she thought he was useful. She kept everyone except for Percy at arms length, despite being friendly.

From the way the two siblings are, it seems like only Adamas treated Percy like a little brother while Percy himself was and is obsessive and possessive of her.

Being friends- more like acquaintances- with the siblings has its own benefits, though. First of all, he was now under Adamas' protection, and by extension, Percy's (only at Adamas). Due to his supposed limp, children often bullied him in school. Adamas would often beat up the bullies, saying that "trashes like them never learn their lesson through words alone hence why violence is a must." Percy, for months, would often sneer at him with contempt, even more so when Adamas' attention was not focused on him. Only Adamas managed to calm him down.

Second, unknowingly to Grover himself, he felt safer being with the two. He knew that both Percy and Adamas where demigods with their auras alone (unaware that both were formers gods themselves). However, what is surprising is that both of their auras are stronger than all of the demigods he encountered and by that logic alone, there should have been more monsters coming after them. He saw some monsters about to attack the two until they backed out in fear.

Fear? Who were they afraid of?

I hope is just my paranoia and not them being actually terrified of the siblings.

They did not know yet of the whole mythos thing, right?

Currently, in the present, he thought that he should not have jinxed what he had thought of before. It seems that the siblings already knew of the existence of the mythological world for years now.

After Mrs Dodds' apparent "death" at the hands of Percy and both siblings returned with the rest of their classmates, Nancy Bobofit, the idiotic and masochistic classmate of theirs, were insulting and riling them up that she hoped that Mrs Kerr had decked both of them. Adamas, although she looked confused for a moment, answered back. "Unfortunately for you, ikaw bobo ka (you fool), she did not. Honestly, just how did your brain function? Are you really that much of an idiot to even embarass yourself in front of everyone? And it seems that even your own parents are highly ashamed to have you as their daughter, as you greatly ruined their prestigous reputations with your st*pidity. Or maybe both of your parents are on the same level of st*pidity as you. Like what they say, like parent, like child."

Okay, now that was a very low blow, Adamas, thought Grover, sweat dropped from his face. Nancy looked like she was about to cry. He saw that Adamas herself did not even care that her own words hurt her emotionally, like she thought that she deserved it.

The second he turned to look at the centaur, Grover was contemplating whether or not he should actually follow what Adamas said before or not. After a while, he decided to go to Mr. Brunner.

"Sir, about the siblings, I think they are starting to be aware of our existence," said Grover. He decided to tell him only about their awareness of the whole mythos thing. He had a feeling that if he disobeyed, something terrible will happen.

He told him that they still remember the existence of "Mrs Dodds", despite having the Mist at full work. Mr. Brunner just told him that they still need to mature— which Grover internally scoffed at as he knows that they already knew— and that they are not yet ready. Grover also talked about a certain summer solstice deadline and that he does not want to fail again, to which the centaur lightly comforted him that it was not his fault and that he did not fail.

Without the two knowing, the former siblings were both eavesdropping on them, with Adamas frowing while Percy simply did not care.

As the three went out of the museum, both Adamas and Percy sensed a strange yet familiar presence within the vicinity. Turning their heads to the side, they could see three ancient-looking women with silver hair tied with white bandanas and wearing linen clothing weaving socks.

Adamas and Percy were both communicating telepathically upon seeing them.

Poseidonas, could they be the Moirai of this universe?

Possible. Their presence are similar to the Moirai of our old universe.

They're looking at you, Poseidonas. Not once have they looked at me. Does it mean something?

Percy was contemplating on her words. They both turn and saw that one of the two ladies were holding a blue thread while the other snapped the thread with her scissors. This alarmed the two, especially Percy.

The Moirai were looking at me. And a blue string was cut? Does that mean, Adamas, or mother?

With the conclusion formed in his mind, he let out his killing intent. A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 had made the whole continent trembled from his might. Adamas hurriedly used a portion of her power to protect both Grover and Sally— who was busy writing a draft for her next book— from his killing intent by coating the two of them with her divine aura.

Grover shivered in fear from not only the Moirai but also from the killing intent Percy released. He quickly turned his head toward Adamas as he asked, "Adamas, did you both see them?"

Adamas nodded in response. "Yes. We saw them. But they weren't looking at me but at Poseidonas."

Grover chewed off his thumb from the affirmation. "This is bad. Not again. I don't want another one dead. It's always the 6th grade."

Adamas, who was oddly calm about the whole thing, gently reprimended him. "Grover, no need to worry. Have you forgotten that we both knew? Also, if anything, both of us are strong enough to fight against any monsters who even dared to cross us." She then walked towards Percy, who walked towards the Moirai with killing intent still intact.

The Moirai sweatdropped with fear from the amount of pressure both of his killing intent and divine aura aimed at them. He glared at them with contempt in his eyes.

"You Fates, DARED to imply one of my loved one's death?"

Adamas touched his shoulder to calm him down. "Calm down, Poseidonas. The blue string being cut could have also mean that someone you will interact with who will be involved with you in the future might be fated for it instead." She then faced the Moirai. "I have a question for you. From the way you direct your sights towards Poseidonas, it seems that he was meant to see that. However, not once have you three looked at me even before the string's been cut. Tell me. Was I not included in that fate? After all, I never even see a red string being cut right at me."

Atropos, one of the three Moirai who cut off the blue string before, said in a fearful voice, "Adamas, y■ ■ d■■r■t a■ u■■e ■m t■ r■t ■ n■ o■ ■e c■d s■ ■e s■s ■ f■ a■t■d ■ y■. W■ c■■t ■e n■r e■■ pr■■t y■r f■."

Clotho, the one who weaved the socks, added, "My sister is right. Even y■ ■n b■h ■ h■ ■u l■ y■ ■e, ■ h■ n■ c■t■l o■■ y■r f■. ■ ■ a■o■ ■ ■ s■o■ f■■e ■ ■ d■ ■."

Lachesis, the one who was in charge of measuring the thread, continued, "N■ ■■n ■ ■ c■ m■s■e ■ l■ ■ m■e y■, ■ ■■n t■ ■ Percy Jackson. To both Percy and Grover who were listening to them talking, for some reason, they could not understand what they were talking about. It's as if the universe has censored their words from them as all they hear about were static. They could only understand two names that were mentioned: Percy's and his father, Poseidon. Both of them could understand that Percy might have a role to play but what about the Sea King himself? Why was he mentioned?

To Adamas, however, that was not the case. She could perfectly understand what they were talking about. She contemplated on their words. I see. So ■ e■■ ■ Fates ■ ■ w■ t■■s c■ s■ ■ ■n f■. T■ ■ s■■ ■g ■ ■ h■.

[Timeskip, 3 days later, 1 km away from a strawberry farm field near Montauk at Long Island...]

"Percy, my precious Tyrant, please. You have to go to the camp that I was telling you two years ago," pleaded Sally to her son. Percy and Adamas, who became her ward unofficially, told them of the events that had transpired back then at the museum. They hid nothing from her less she worries for them both.

"And I will ask this again, mother. Why should I go there? Because my impertinent father told you to tell me that I need to be there? For what, exactly?" questioned Percy. It wasn't the first time that his mother convinced him to go to this summer camp and everytime, he gave the same question and answer. She only gave him half-answers back then.

Sally truthfull replied, "Originally, I did not want you to go, thinking that I could keep you safe from the monsters by marrying off G-Gabriel as his overwhelming scent could cover yours. But since you're you, I do not need to worry too much of your own safety. Rather, I'm doing this now for you to observe. Observe first the camp and then you can form your own opinions after. I know how much you hate humanity and even worse for the gods here. Please? Do this for me?" She gave him her puppy eyes, to which he just sweatdropped. Just how shameless is she to even beg me for such a favor? Although he lightly growled at her stuttering the name of Gabe. Mother deserves more than that filthy human trash. And that so-called father of mine does not deserve such pure soul as her.

Grover, who was invited by both Adamas and Sally, sighed internally. I really need to remind myself everytime that they both knew about the mythological world.

Adamas, who was silently observing them, decided to back her up. "Poseidonas, I think it's best that we both come to this camp that both Sally and, now, Grover mentioned. We don't know yet the situation of this world and just exactly how dangerous it is and if there are people who are also like us."

Percy contemplated on what his mother and Adamas said. He can clearly see the logic behind their reasoning. After a while, he agreed to their wants.

Adamas then called out to Grover and told him to show her the way. Knowing that he got jealous easily, she told him that she wanted to go ahead and see it herself first so that she'll be the first one to welcome him.

The storms and the winds have gotten worse by the minute. Percy detected two familiar yet different auras causing the weather to change drastically.

As Sally was about to escort her son towards the camp, Percy stopped her, his expression contorted with anger. Sally was about to ask him what was wrong until she saw a 7-foot tall, body that looked like it was on steroids, was completely naked except for the underwear and with the head of a bull, stomping near them.

"Percy, that's Pasiphae's son."

"A Minotaur. Mother, get behind me," said Percy. He used a small portion of his power to coat her mother with an invisible armor made of water.

The Minotaur, smelling Percy, charge up straight at him. Percy, while maintaining a calm but angry demeanor, used his power to manipulate the raindrops, turning them into sharp long thin needles. He then manipulated the water needles to aim straight at its acupuncture points. The Minotaur let out an agonizing cry as the needles pierced through its body.

Then, as if time itself slowed down and as if someone has been controlling the strings, the Minotaur's tail accidentally hit Sally. She was sent flying towards a boulder just at their right side. Sally was not harmed by it thanks to the armor coated around her. But that wasn't the case for Percy. Seeing his mother being hit by its tail, his expression turned wrothful as his killing intent was released and intensified, causing another major earthquake as strong as the magnitude 6.0 all around ¾ of the world.

"A filthy Minotaur like you DARED to touch MY MOTHER?!" He raised his right arm and made a fist. Without warning, the Minotaur was screaming in pure agony as its body suddenly looked like someone held it tightly, its blood worked against it. It then was crushed, turning into fine powder of dust.

Once the Minotaur was killed, Percy retracted his killing intent and went towards Sally. His expression worried for her wellbeing. He then saw something that made his ichor boil in rage. His mother's body glowed and slowly turned to golden shards of light. Sally, seeing her current state, reassured her son. "Percy, my son, don't worry. I'm fine. I'm not dying."

She then smiled at her son, "I'll be waiting for you to find me, my precious Sea Tyrant. So please, cease your anger. And remember, go to the camp that I was talking about. You might find your answers there." Her body completely dissipated into tiny golden shards of light.

Percy let out an agonizing cry. "MOTHER!!!"
