Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: I'm Not Really Familiar With Them

Chen Tang was brought back to the Snow Mountain by the Mountain Lord that night and woke up the next day.

In his previous life, after getting drunk, waking up would be extremely uncomfortable, with headaches, fatigue, nausea, and drowsiness.

However, upon waking up just now, Chen Tang turned over and sat up, feeling completely refreshed and clear-headed, with no signs of discomfort!

"You indeed have good fortune."

Just as Chen Tang woke up, the voice of the Mountain Guest sounded.

"How so?"

Chen Tang walked into the cave, curiously asking.

The Mountain Guest laughed, saying, "The ape clan loves wine and beauty. In spring and summer, they gather hundreds of flowers and fruits, either storing them in rock hollows or tree holes, allowing them to ferment and brew wine. The taste is best in the cold winter months."

"This wine is called Hundred Flowers and Fruits Brew, also known as Monkey Wine. It absorbs the spiritual energy of the heavens and earth, the essence of the sun and moon, and is the finest of wines, priceless."

Chen Tang's eyes lit up.

In his past life, he also read some accounts about Monkey Wine and never expected to encounter it here.

"I have a piece of aged Mountain Ginseng here. If you consume it directly, your body will not be able to withstand the medicinal power, threatening your life."

The Mountain Guest said, "But if you soak it in wine, it can slowly release the medicinal power of the ginseng into the wine, which can then be drunk gradually. But the wine you bought is like horse urine, pairing it with my ginseng is truly a waste."

"Last night, that pot of Monkey Wine was a perfect match with this piece of Mountain Ginseng. I've already soaked the ginseng in your wine gourd. You should only drink a small sip each time; more will get you extremely drunk."

Chen Tang glanced contentedly at the wine gourd at his waist, asking, "Besides being delicious, are there any other uses for this Mountain Ginseng Monkey Wine?"

"There are many,"

the Mountain Guest said, "Both the Mountain Ginseng and the Monkey Wine are world treasures. When combined, they enhance each other, benefiting the five organs, strengthening the six bowels, calming the mind and soul, replenishing energy and nourishing the blood..."

"In short, it greatly benefits your martial arts training. Drinking a small sip every day will significantly shorten your Entry Level time!"

Chen Tang was overjoyed.

That's what is most practical.

In the following days, Chen Tang would take a small sip before practicing his fist technique every day.

As he practiced, the medicinal power of the Mountain Ginseng Monkey Wine spread throughout his body, into every muscle.

Ten days passed in a flash.

Chen Tang noticed that his body seemed to have undergone some changes.

Whenever he exerted a little force, a faint bronze hue would appear on the surface of his skin, extremely hard!

Curious, he even lightly drew a long knife across his arm.

The blade left no trace on his arm!

Even though he didn't use much force, this was still impressive!

Chen Tang felt that his current strength had nearly doubled compared to a month ago!

Moreover, he vaguely sensed the presence of a bottleneck.

The growth in strength had become extremely slow.

"Senior, am I at Entry Level now?"

Chen Tang noticed these changes in himself and sought out the Mountain Guest to ask.

Being a hunter's child in his previous life, he had heard about martial arts grades but knew nothing about the mark of Entry Level.

The Mountain Guest looked at Chen Tang, shook his head, and said, "You're still lacking, you need to keep practicing."

"Still need to practice?"

Chen Tang wasn't afraid of trouble.

At first, he practiced martial arts partially for revenge and to survive in this chaotic world, forced by circumstances.

Now, even without any crisis, Chen Tang practices his fist techniques daily, persistently.

Feeling his strength continuously increase, his combat power rise, and his yearning for various martial arts skills, he has grown to love this feeling.

Reaching the pinnacle of martial arts is one of his pursuits in this world!

It's just that the difficulty of Entry Level is somewhat beyond his expectations.

At this moment, a cry of apes came from below the Snow Mountain.

In the past few days, the Old Ape had delivered Monkey Wine twice and brought the Little White Ape to play with Xue Tuan'Er.

The Old Ape knew the location of this Snow Mountain, but due to the Mountain Lord's presence, dared not ascend without permission, using the ape cries to call for Chen Tang instead.

However, today's cries were somewhat peculiar.

"I'll go take a look."

Chen Tang bid farewell to the Mountain Guest and headed down the mountain.

During this period of training, Chen Tang's strength had increased greatly, and his body technique had become more agile, allowing him to go up and down the Snow Mountain by himself.

Before long, Chen Tang arrived at the foot of the mountain and saw the Old Ape pacing back and forth in the snow, seemingly anxious.

This time, he didn't carry the Little White Ape on his back.

"What's wrong?"

Chen Tang asked.

The Old Ape was extremely adept at spirit communication, understanding human language, though unable to speak.

The Old Ape extended his hands, appearing to hold something, traced a curve from top to bottom in front of himself, and then pointed in the direction of the forest.

What does that mean?

Chen Tang couldn't figure it out.

The Old Ape gestured the same way again. Seeing Chen Tang still didn't understand, he became somewhat anxious and tugged at Chen Tang's clothing, trying to lead him away.

"Alright, I understand, I'll go with you to take a look."

Chen Tang laughed.

The Old Ape scampered off towards his forest, with Chen Tang following behind.

After nearly an hour, they reached that forest.

Led by the Old Ape, Chen Tang followed him through twists and turns, finally arriving in front of a steep cliff.

High up on the cliff, there was a dark cave.

The Old Ape signaled for Chen Tang to climb up with him.

Chen Tang climbed up along with the Old Ape, and before long, they reached the entrance of the cave and went inside.

The entrance was still dark and dim.

Walking along the cave for a short distance, it suddenly opened up before him, as if a giant space had been hollowed out in the middle of the mountain, with sunlight streaming down from the dome.

Not far ahead grew an ancient towering tree.

Many small and large apes were jumping and chasing each other about the tree branches and rocks.

Seeing Chen Tang's figure, the apes showed curiosity. A Little White Ape ran up to Chen Tang, cupped its hands like a human, and bowed.

"Haha!"

Chen Tang laughed, reaching out to rub Little White Ape's forehead.

The Old Ape gestured while pointing to the base of the big tree.

Chen Tang, puzzled, walked forward and was shocked.

Under the tree lay an exceedingly beautiful woman, seemingly not very old, with disheveled hair and a graceful figure, but her cotton clothes were torn in several places, with traces of blood seeping out.

It was unclear what injuries the woman had sustained; her eyes were closed, and she was unconscious.

"Where did you find this woman?"

Chen Tang asked, frowning.

The Old Ape gestured again, then revealed a strange expression in his eyes, ran his hands over his body with a mischievous grin.

"Ooh ooh!"

The apes who saw this scene also cried out excitedly, jumping up and down.

The Little White Ape seemed to understand too, quickly covering its eyes with its hands, peeking through its fingers at the scene.

"Darn it, no respect for elders!"

Chen Tang laughed and scolded, "The senior said you apes love wine and beauty, and it's true. Smart like monkeys, they understand everything."

As he spoke, Chen Tang caught sight of the beautiful woman.

At this sight, Chen Tang's smile froze.

At some point, the beautiful woman had awakened; her face pale, she looked coldly at Chen Tang.

Uh...

This was embarrassing.

Chen Tang blinked, coughed lightly, and said, "Um, actually, I'm not really familiar with them..."
