Chapter 47
True Information
"There are some things I want to ask you about, things I want to know… As you know, I've spent my whole life in the mountain with my father."
Before Einver could continue, the old man let out a calm sigh, his eyes carrying both wisdom and tranquility.
"I know, Einver… I am aware of what happened to your mother."
Einver fell silent for a few moments, pondering what he had just heard, then spoke cautiously:
"Did you hear that when i were under Sin Ka's control?"
The old man, Mai Na, spoke in visible shock, unable to believe his words:
"Yes… but how could you remember what happened while you were under Sin Ka's control? Anyone who falls under his control cannot remember what they said or did."
Einver gave a faint smile, as if the achievement didn't matter to him, as though he didn't see it as something worth pride.
"I honestly don't know… but I remember everything clearly. I wish I didn't, but…"
Noticing the deep sorrow in Einver's eyes, the old man quickly tried to change the subject.
"Very well… continue, Einver."
Einver resumed speaking in a quiet voice, yet filled with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge.
"There are so many things I truly don't know about this world… You explained to me before about traits and such, but I still have many questions I can't find answers to… First, who are the Four Kings?"
Mai Na let out a heavy sigh, as though the answer carried the weight of time itself.
"The Four Kings are rulers who once governed the Spiritual Land with unmatched power and might. They came to our land when we needed them most. Perhaps you don't know, but humans once knew nothing of martial arts, the spiritual sea, or anything of the kind. We were crushed by beasts and powerful magical creatures, completely powerless.
But one day, four people appeared and began fighting the beasts with incredible strength. These four taught humans martial arts, guided us to the spiritual sea and magical power, and so on. Humanity advanced quickly after that, launching attacks against the beasts. A bloody and fierce war broke out—countless lives were lost. Even with our newfound martial arts and knowledge of the spiritual sea, humans were still not strong enough.
We were on the brink of losing, just like every time before… but at that very moment, the Four Kings intervened. Their power was legendary and overwhelming. The beasts never knew what struck them. After a long battle, humans narrowly won, and the land returned to us."
Mai Na continued his tale:
"Afterward, the Four Kings discussed who would rule the world. Their strengths varied at the time, but they weren't treacherous or evil, so they decided to divide the land into four sections. Each would govern a section. And every ten years, a grand martial arts tournament would be held in one of the regions, to see if anyone strong enough existed to threaten their positions—or if they found someone they admired, they would take them into their domain. That's what I know."
Einver asked after some hesitation:
"Alright… tell me, old man… who is the weakest king among the four?"
Mai Na replied with a weary tone:
"Our king is the weakest… He is in the Realm of Darkness, High Division."
Einver shuddered in shock, speaking in disbelief:
"Damn… Are you telling me the weakest of them is just one step away from ascending into an uncategorized realm altogether?"
After minutes of stunned silence, Einver asked quietly:
"Why don't the other kings eliminate the weak one, so they can gain more control and rule over the other regions?"
Mai Na sighed, then answered calmly:
"Because they're friends. You could even say brothers. They fought together in countless battles, killed together, and they respect one another. That's why you don't see conflicts between them despite the differences in strength. Besides, they share common interests and a goal they pursue together."
Einver asked curiously:
"What are their interests, and what is their goal?"
The old man smiled.
"Truthfully, I don't know. But when the Tournament of the Four Kings comes, they don't just take strong individuals or eliminate them… they always gather afterward for days, discussing things I have no knowledge of. After those discussions, our king announces certain things he seeks… Whoever finds them will ascend to the Second Realms. But what they do with them? That I cannot tell."
Einver reflected silently, absorbing the information.
"So… that means the next martial arts tournament will be in 16 months, right?"
The old man nodded gently.
"Yes… about 16 months from now it will begin. Do you wish to participate, boy?"
Einver was silent for a few moments before answering softly:
"Who knows… Perhaps one day I'll get bored enough to take part."
He gave a faint smile, and Mai Na chuckled with him.
After a few minutes, Einver asked again:
"Tell me… are there forbidden forms of the spiritual sea?"
The old man gave him a strange, almost humorous look.
"No… there is no forbidden form. But there are… special ones."
Einver tilted his head.
"What do you mean?"
Mai Na explained patiently:
"Alright, let me tell you. You know that after entering the Earth Realm, First Division, you create a spiritual sea. When you do, you can create only one thing. For example: a massive room, or land shaped like a moon, or a sea you can manipulate at will. You can store things inside, even people, and so on. But you create just one thing. However, if someone manages to create more than one, then that is considered an exceptionally special spiritual sea."
He went on:
"Let me tell you something else that might interest you, boy. Anyone who enters the Martial Realm—Earth Realm, First Division—after creating their spiritual sea, has choices. They can make their sea their own private space, training, storing power scrolls, techniques, or weapons. Or they can create an entire nature within, with animals or even humans. Anyone who creates a spiritual sea is its sovereign—he can do whatever he wants inside. He can create humans, creatures, animals, nature… But you can only create animals or humans once you reach the Yin-Yang Realm, First Division—not before."
Einver asked, intrigued:
"And what is the difference between those who create and those who don't?"
Mai Na answered:
"It depends on the person. Some who created humans inside their spiritual sea claimed they gained strength from them. Others said they were just a burden. To be honest, I lean toward the second opinion. Because if you create humans or animals, they will need to evolve—you'll have to tend to them, otherwise you'll waste time. Nowadays, you could say that the number of people who still create humans within their spiritual seas is zero. No one does it anymore—everyone only focuses on their own cultivation. But in the end, the choice is yours, depending on your ability and strength."
The two continued speaking until evening.
At night, the old man Mai Na left Einver alone to rest.
Einver thought to himself:
*Alright… I've learned much now. There's no forbidden spiritual sea, only special ones. I can even bring people stronger than me into my sea, but I can't force them. If they're forced, my spiritual sea will shatter and I'll die. But if they enter willingly, nothing happens to me.
I possess a spiritual sea that is unique… I myself am unique. I carry both light and darkness within me. Through the power of this world, I created a spiritual sea resembling the Earth. Because of the light, my sea grew vast and strong. And thanks to the balance of light and darkness, I created a sun, a moon, even a new planet inside me. I wonder… can I create more?*
He pondered for a while before dismissing the thought.
A good idea, but also a bad one. The larger my spiritual sea grows, the greater my magical power becomes. But my body won't be able to withstand such force. I can't even merge the Dark Aura with the Earth Realm High Division aura and the title of Mad Killer all at once. I can merge the Earth Realm aura with the Dark Aura to use the Sovereignty of Darkness technique, but only for two minutes. And after using the Blood Darkness technique, I nearly died and fell into a six-month coma. I need to strengthen my body… My magical power and aura may grow endlessly, but without a body strong enough to bear them, I'll be torn to pieces.
Einver whispered softly:
"Personal Window."
A screen appeared before him, displaying his personal information:
| Name: Einver
Age: 18
Physical Strength: 12
Magical Strength: 15
Martial Realm: Earth Realm, High Division
Martial Arts Learned: All martial arts of Earth, none from the Spiritual Land
Weapons: Sword and Bow
Kill Count: 1004
Titles: Mad Killer |
Einver thought with a faint smile:
Just as I expected… Without using the Dark Aura or the Mad Killer title, my magical strength alone surpasses my physical strength. I must train my body further, so I can withstand merging auras and unleash my full power without side effects.
He exhaled in relief, then gazed through the window at the darkened sky.
The heavens were filled with beautiful stars. People moved through the city, some entering their homes to rest and prepare for the next day's work.
Everyone seemed happy and smiling—especially after the appearance of the true princess, kind, brave, and peaceful. During Einver's coma, she had accomplished many great deeds, including establishing trade with neighboring cities and aiding the Little Moon Village, even beginning commerce with them.
Einver murmured softly:
I heard that an envoy from the Little Moon Village will arrive tomorrow… Could it be the boy Moon Fi, perhaps?
He sighed gently, whispering to himself:
"Alright… It's time. Tomorrow, I will leave the City of Sunlight."
