Chapter 29: The Wealth Boy Again
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Xuantian's powerful fists repeatedly smashed into the Lingbao Master, each blow sending agonizing waves of pain throughout his body.
Had he not been a spiritual treasure incarnation who had cultivated the Eight-Nine Profound Arts, any other cultivator would have been crushed to death already. Even so, countless fine cracks appeared along his body, as though he was about to be shattered by Xuantian's relentless force.
"Treasure Law!"
Seeing himself on the verge of being crushed, the Lingbao Master immediately unleashed the power of the Law.
Golden Immortal cultivators had already comprehended the Laws—the governing forces of heaven and earth—which had a profound impact on their strength. As a perfect Taiyi Golden Immortal, the Lingbao Master had mastered the Treasure Law.
Endless divine light burst forth, blessing his body and causing his physical strength to surge dramatically. This was the mystery of the Treasure Law—when blessing a spiritual treasure, its power could increase dramatically. As a spiritual treasure incarnate, the Lingbao Master amplified this effect even further.
And this was only the beginning.
"Law of Divine Power!"
"Law of the Great Gate!"
"Law of the Mountain!"
Three more laws suddenly radiated from his body, each enhancing his physical might until his strength surged even higher. For a moment, he could barely contend with Xuantian's physical power.
Yet his heart was filled with shock. He was a spiritual treasure incarnate, and had cultivated the Eight-Nine Profound Arts, and had just unleashed four body-strengthening laws—yet only now could he barely hold his own against Xuantian.
What kind of freak was this man, possessing such an unimaginably terrifying physique?
"Oh? A competition of laws?" Xuantian's expression remained unchanged. He possessed thirteen laws in total, including ten of the most advanced Dao laws.
The Law of Strength unfolded, drawing in boundless power—even that of heaven and earth—until Xuantian's body radiated with pure light and his power surged. The Law of Yin and Yang transformed into black-and-white divine light, wrapping around his fists. The Law of the Five Elements formed a phantom world, blessing him with its might.
In an instant, Xuantian had fully evolved the power of the five Dao laws, and his aura soared to the very limit of a Taiyi Golden Immortal.
"What…?"
The Lingbao Master's face froze in disbelief.
The power of laws was notoriously difficult to comprehend. Ordinary Taiyi Golden Immortals usually mastered only one. He himself had been blessed with fortune, allowing him to comprehend four—but Xuantian not only surpassed him in physical strength, but he had also comprehended one more law than him.
And not just any laws—each of Xuantian's five was a top-tier Dao law!
Boom!
Before the Lingbao Master could react, Xuantian's fist—imbued with the power of the five laws—tore through the solid space of the Primordial world, carrying all-destructive force as it descended upon him.
"Wait! I am the Void Sect Lingbao Master, disciple of the Quasi-Sage Yuanshi! How dare you—"
Faced with such a terrifying strike, the Lingbao Master abandoned all thoughts of resistance and quickly invoked his backing. Even great powers were wary of harming a Quasi-Sage's disciple, lest they incur karmic retribution.
Sure enough, when he revealed his identity, Xuantian's punch stopped, and his expression shifted slightly. Seeing this, the Lingbao Master's terror gave way to arrogance.
"You, a mere Taoist, are ignorant of heaven's will. By injuring me, you have created cause and effect with the Quasi-Sage. But ignorance is not a sin. Just hand over all your spiritual treasures, and I will—what??"
Before he could finish, his expression twisted in shock.
Xuantian, who had paused for only a moment, launched an even more terrifying punch directly at him.
Boom!
The blow was irresistible. The Lingbao Master's vision went black as Xuantian's calm voice echoed in his ears, and he was instantly knocked unconscious.
"Disciple of the Quasi-Sage? I will be hitting a disciple of the Saint if necessary." Xuantian said indifferently.
With a wave of his hand, he snatched the leopard-skin pouch from the Lingbao Master's body. Cultivators generally kept their most valuable possessions in such pouches.
Immersing his consciousness into it, he found something unexpected—a fragment of the Creation Jade Butterfly. Though smaller than the two he already possessed, it was still a genuine treasure of enlightenment. Alongside it lay a fairy apricot, several pots of golden elixirs, and several innate, lower-grade spiritual roots.
In addition, he retrieved the Wood Spirit Orb and the Dragon-Tiger Seal that the Lingbao Master had used earlier.
"With the Gold Spirit Orb and this Wood Spirit Orb, I now have two of the innate Five Elements Spirit Orbs," Xuantian murmured, his gaze toward the unconscious Lingbao Master becoming oddly appreciative.
First Taiyi Zhenren, now the Lingbao Master—members of the Void Sect seemed to be walking treasure troves.
Of course, without his overwhelming strength, any other Taiyi Golden Immortal would have been in grave danger.
While pondering, Xuantian unceremoniously stripped the Lingbao Master of all his possessions.
"Buzhou Mountain is the sacred ground of the Witch Clan and is considered forbidden territory. Our battle just now was loud enough to draw their attention," he thought.
Without hesitation, Xuantian vanished from the scene.
The Witch Clan was the Primordial World's overlord, known for their ruthless nature.
Sure enough, shortly after he left, the earth trembled and the Lingbao Master's screams rang out—sharp, pained, and unending. Even with the life-saving talisman given by Yuanshi, falling into the Witch Clan's hands meant severe suffering.
"Huh? Why has my luck dropped again?"
In the Yuxu Palace on Kunlun Mountain, Yuanshi Tianzun suddenly opened his eyes, a trace of worry crossing his face. Even for a heaven-destined Sage, continual loss of fortune was a bad omen.
Yet no matter how he divined, the secrets of heaven were obscured, giving him no clue.
"Forget it."
Abandoning his deductions, Yuanshi Tianzun returned to comprehending the Primordial purple Qi within his soul. As long as he could master it, attain the Dao, and become a Sage—gaining authority over the Heavenly Dao—everything would be revealed.
Peace returned to the Yuxu Palace.
Meanwhile, on Mount Buzhou, the Lingbao Master's screams showed no sign of stopping.
