"Your mum's dead."
I didn't miss the sudden shock it left in my heart as tears beaded at the corner of my eyes.
"Mum's dead?"
My vision blurred; tears dropped onto the piece of paper in my arms. But that wasn't all, as I scanned through tear-filled eyes I received the greatest shock of my life.
Without thinking, I was already at the door, banging and barking until two guards materialized out of nowhere to open it.
"I want to see Alpha Ricardo!" I screamed at the top of my voice as my stomach twisted.
The sting of the information I had just received sank deep to my heart, leaving no room for my own thoughts to take root.
"How could he?" I barked at no one in particular, slamming my arms onto the wooden door frame, not minding the pains or the noise my stomach made.
"I want to see Alpha Ricardo!" I screamed again, making the entire atmosphere chaotic as some of the maids gathered at their various positions looking stunned, some even talking among themselves.
