Inside the safety of her office, Ruby rushed into her private restroom and threw up a couple of times. Her entire body shook violently as she emptied her stomach of the little food she had managed to eat that morning.
After a few minutes of retching, she managed to stand up and rinse her mouth, while splashing water on her face.
The repeated knocking sound coming from outside her office forced her out of the restroom.
In front of the transparent door, Gail stood like a ghost of her former self.
But it wasn't Gail's pale face that caught Ruby's attention. It was the huge-looking man in a sleek black suit, seated patiently in the corner, while talking on the phone.
Ruby managed to walk over to the door, her legs trembling with every movement. She slowly unlocked it and pulled it open.
