[Patra Guest House – Room 15]
"What the hell is she talking about?" A rugged-looking man growled from the corner, his hooded sweatshirt shadowing his bald head. A jagged tattoo crept up the side of his neck, pulsing each time his jaw clenched.
"I have no idea." Bailey's forehead furrowed deeply as she stared blankly at the phone, her heart skipping several beats. "I haven't contacted her parents yet. And I don't think Derek would make such a careless move knowing what is at stake."
"Are you sure you didn't slip up like before?" He asked, his voice low and taunting. "Carl is still missing after releasing that viral video. No one knows where he is or if he is still alive. So we can't afford any more mistakes."
"I said I didn't, Vice." Bailey snapped her head toward him. "I'm not stupid. I have been cautious, and I know we need the money first before I destroy her."
"I'm glad you still have your eyes on the price because this is no charity deal."
"Of course." Bailey sneered.
