After Nick Fury left, Tony stayed holed up in his lab, staring at the box of documents Fury had left behind.
It was indeed his father's box. Inside were old files, several videotapes, and even blueprints for the Arc Reactor — signed "Vanko — Stark."
Those two names belonged to his father, Howard Stark, and the Soviet scientist Anton Vanko.
Tony flipped through the papers and schematics while loading the tapes into the projector.
On the screen, his father, impeccably dressed in a suit, faced the camera and began his introduction.
"Everything can be achieved through technology — a better life, a healthier body, and for the first time in human history, the possibility of lasting world peace."
"I'm Howard Stark. Everything you'll ever need for the future is right here — the city of tomorrow, the metropolis of the future— uh, sorry…"
Howard suddenly stumbled over his line. After a quick adjustment, he continued,
"I'm Howard Stark. I'd like to personally— Tony, what are you doing? What is that thing?"
"Put that back! Put it where it was! Where's your mother? Maria! Take him away!"
Hearing his father's voice, Tony instinctively looked up from the blueprints to the projection.
So that was it — he had barged into the frame as a mischievous kid while his father was filming, fiddling with the model.
Watching the footage of his younger self and his father together, Tony felt a strange surge of emotion. It had been so long since he'd heard his father call his name.
The film kept rolling, and soon it reached the final segment. Night had fallen, and Howard was alone before the camera.
"Tony, you're still too young to understand, so I'm recording this for you in advance," he said, his tone softer now.
Hearing those words, Tony stopped what he was doing and focused entirely on the screen.
Howard tapped the model of the futuristic city beside him, looked straight at the camera, and said,
"All of this is built for you."
"One day, you'll understand — this represents more than human invention. It's the culmination of my life's work."
As he spoke, the camera zoomed in on the model behind him.
"This is the key to the future."
"I'm limited by the technology of my era, but someday you'll see what it all means."
"When that day comes… you'll change the world."
The focus returned to Howard's face. His eyes softened with rare warmth.
"The greatest creation of my life… is you."
A faint smile appeared on his lips — and then the tape ended.
Tony stared at the blank screen, his mind echoing with his father's final words.
So… he really was proud of me.A smile tugged at Tony's lips.
It was the first and only time in his life that he'd heard his father express love and pride for him.
"The key to the future…"
Tony murmured thoughtfully, eyes narrowing.
He recalled the warning from the "evil spirit" last night, and the futuristic city model that appeared several times in the recording.
That model must be the one his father had envisioned — the "future city." But what secret was hidden within it?
Tony frowned in thought, then asked, "Jarvis, is there any record of that model in our database?"
Jarvis searched quickly before replying,
"I'm sorry, sir. There are no detailed records of that model in the database."
Tony continued, "Then where is it now?"
"That model was displayed at the Stark Global Expo's opening ceremony a few days ago," Jarvis replied. "It should still be at Stark Industries, though its exact location is unclear."
Hearing this, Tony's eyes sharpened. "Jarvis, call Agent Coulson. I need his help."
"Calling Agent Coulson now, sir. Please wait."
Moments later, the lab door opened, and Coulson walked in.
"You wanted to see me?" he asked.
Tony nodded. "I think I've found the key to our problem."
Coulson's expression turned serious. "What is it?"
"I need you to retrieve something from Stark Industries," Tony said."It's a model — my father's design for a futuristic city. It was displayed at the Stark Expo recently, so it should still be there. I just don't know where exactly."
He sighed. "You know I haven't been to the company in a while. Even if none of this had happened, I doubt I'd remember where that model's kept."
Coulson nodded. "I understand. I'll ask Miss Potts."
Tony smiled faintly. "Yes, that's what I was thinking. Ask Pepper."
"And once I get it, just bring it straight here?" Coulson confirmed.
"Exactly," Tony said, then suddenly remembered something."Oh, right — take this."
He handed Coulson a small device.
Seeing Coulson's puzzled look, Tony explained,
"It's a scanner. Once you find the model, scan it first — that way we'll have a full holographic copy."
"It's old, fragile even. I'd rather not risk it getting damaged in transit."
Coulson nodded. "Makes sense."
He turned to leave, but Tony's voice stopped him again.
"Uh… one more thing."
Coulson turned back. "Anything else I should know, Mr. Stark?"
Tony hesitated a moment, then said,
"Uh… when you come back, could you grab me a Starbucks coffee and a donut?"
He grinned sheepishly. "I think I need a sugar boost. Haha."
Coulson went quiet for a moment. He'd half expected another urgent instruction — not a coffee order.
"Milk in the coffee?" he asked flatly.
Tony's eyes lit up. "Yes — with milk. Skim milk."
"I'll have someone bring it up," Coulson replied, turning toward the exit.
"Thanks!" Tony called out, cupping his hands around his mouth.
Coulson's voice drifted back through the doorway:
"Don't make a habit of it."

At the same time, in the Hexagram Alliance base, Meng Ran was listening to Xiao Bai's report.
"There's been unusual weather in New Mexico," Xiao Bai said. "A research team there encountered an unexpected incident.
"According to our surveillance, a burly man with long golden hair appeared in their group afterward.
"He showed up right after the strange weather event — and the description matches the information left by the Boss."
Meng Ran's expression turned contemplative.
"Based on that, it seems Thor has appeared."
"Looks like I'll need to wrap things up here quickly. I have to take possession while Thor's still sealed — this is the best chance."
"If I wait until his seal is lifted, it'll be much harder."
Resting his chin on his hand, Meng Ran began silently mapping out his next steps.
