"What good luck," Tao Wen said with a smile, looking at the man.
He wasn't alone in the luxurious booth area; there were two other booths. The man had chosen him, a truly slim chance.
"Give me enough money, and I'll leave."
Tao Wen sat up from the sofa and said.
"Get lost."
The man glanced at Tao Wen with a hint of disgust, then tossed about ten thousand yuan onto the table, and yelled. He hated spineless men the most.
"This money isn't quite enough," Tao Wen glanced at the money on the table.
"Kid, don't be so greedy, name your price."
The man frowned, about to flare up, but the man behind him patted his shoulder. Instantly, he stopped, glaring coldly at Tao Wen.
"One hundred million. Give me the money, and I'll let you have it right away."
Tao Wen picked up a piece of dried fruit and chewed on it, saying,
"What did you say!"
The man, who had been coldly disdainful, was now consumed by a raging fire. He stared fixedly at Tao Wen, as if he wanted to punch him to death.
"Kid, don't talk nonsense, or you won't see the sun tomorrow."
The man lowered his voice and reached for his pocket, threateningly.
"Don't worry about that. Not only will I not see the sun, but you won't either. Tomorrow is going to be a cloudy day."
Tao Wen continued eating the dried fruit, his gaze sweeping across the dance floor. "And, if you don't have any money, don't stand here acting like a watchdog, blocking me from seeing the beauties."
"What did you say, kid!"
Having been repeatedly rebuked by Tao Wen, the man could no longer contain his anger. He slammed his hand on the table, making a loud noise.
Although the sound was loud, it was drowned out by the booming music. However, it still attracted the attention of several people nearby. Seeing the menacing expressions on their faces, they immediately turned away. Those who could act tough in the VIP area were all people of considerable status.
"I said, dog, don't bark in front of me."
Tao Wen stared coldly at the man. "And, dogs should obediently go to the entrance, that's where you belong."
"You're asking for it!"
This time, not only the man in front of him but also the people behind him were furious. They weren't ordinary people, and to be confronted so aggressively by Tao Wen was practically asking for death!
The person at the back seemed to have the worst temper. The moment Tao Wen finished speaking, he charged forward, throwing a punch at Tao Wen's head.
He was the most imposing of the group, standing at least one meter ninety tall and weighing at least one hundred and fifty kilograms. His bald head was covered in scars, making him look especially menacing.
As he threw the punch, many people around them felt their hearts leap into their throats.
They could imagine Tao Wen being smashed, blood splattering everywhere, and ending up in a terrible state.
In that instant, they couldn't help but feel that Tao Wen's defiance wasn't worth the cost. Life was more important than being tough. It wasn't a big deal to be humble; it was just that he was too young.
Clap.
But the scene they imagined didn't happen. Just as the man's fist was about to land on Tao Wen's face, Tao Wen reached out his right hand and, without a moment's hesitation, grabbed the man's fist.
And, as easily as catching a chick, he held the man's fist, regardless of the man's reddened face and bulging veins, unable to move him even a little.
"What!"
"Impossible!"
"I get it! It's kung fu!"
The scene that unfolded caused the onlookers to widen their eyes in shock. One of them shouted, his voice filled with excitement. Kung fu in H country was known for its power, and he was a devoted fan.
At that instant, the gazes of many shifted towards Tao Wen, their expressions changing. Even in this era of peace, martial strength still held a central position.
Tao Wen's status in their eyes instantly rose. Many were eager to see him take action and beat these black-clad individuals, who looked like villains, to a pulp.
"Argh!"
The black-clad men roared in fury, unleashing all their strength, yet they couldn't budge Tao Wen in the slightest. Tao Wen stood before them like an unyielding mountain.
"What are you looking at? Get moving!"
The black-clad man yelled furiously, glaring at his companions.
"Get him!"
The others exchanged glances, instantly realizing they'd run into trouble, and charged forward together.
"What!"
As they threw their punches, aiming at different parts of Tao Wen's body, they were shocked to see him lift their companion high into the air and swing him like a weapon towards them.
"Not good!"
They had barely flinched when they were slammed to the ground.
"Ah!"
"Awoo!"
The few people wailed in agony on the ground, struggling in pain, but failed to get up even after trying several times.
"Hmm?"
Tao Wen was about to ask the waiter to remove these eyesores when he caught sight of a symbol on the chest of one of the men struggling on the ground.
He had the same symbol; it was the unique mark of the Hydra!
"What a coincidence to run into Hydra members here!"
A gleam of light flashed in Tao Wen's eyes. Knowing the Marvel storyline, he was well aware that S.H.I.E.L.D. had long been infiltrated by Hydra. However, his current access level didn't allow him to identify who belonged to Hydra. He also desperately wanted to know what Hydra had done to him.
"Kid, you just wait!"
Several men took a long time to get back on their feet before quickly exiting the bar.
"So cool!"
"He really knows Kung Fu!"
"I wonder if he has a girlfriend. I'd love to have breakfast with him!"
Upon seeing the black-suited men slink away, many onlookers cheered in admiration. Their gazes towards Tao Wen held a hint of reverence, especially those of the hot women, whose eyes sparkled with excitement.
The instant the black-suited men left the bar, Tao Wen also moved, his form like a cheetah as he swiftly made his way outside. Before the crowd could react, Tao Wen was gone.
This left many men and women regretting their missed opportunity to connect with Tao Wen. Some, still unwilling to give up, headed outside the bar, hoping to find him, either to learn Kung Fu or to share breakfast.
"Where do you think they're going?"
After leaving the bar, Tao Wen watched as several people got into a black car, which then sped away from the area.
He immediately hailed a taxi and followed them. Fortunately for him, the taxi driver used to be a race car driver, so no matter how fast the car went, it couldn't shake the taxi.
Unfortunately, they had already noticed him.
Tao Wen didn't mind. With his current abilities, even if he couldn't defeat a strong Hydra operative in a direct confrontation, he could certainly escape.
He just wanted to follow the trail and find some key figures in Hydra to understand what had happened before he woke up.
What they had done to him, and why he only had one month left to live.
If he was lucky, he might even encounter some key figures and farm some fragments.
The vehicles sped onward, heading towards the outskirts.
The taxi driver didn't seem frightened by the situation. Instead, he grew more excited, accelerating in pursuit. He would have caught up sooner, but the car's performance was holding him back.
"They've stopped."
After a period of high-speed driving, the black car came to a halt outside a gray wall. The driver stopped the taxi and spoke to Tao Wen.
