Boom! Boom! Boom!
The modified car sped away furiously, kicking up a cloud of dust and roaring into the distance. In the blink of an eye, it left Tao Wen behind.
It even executed a perfect drift, as if in provocation.
"Let's see who's stronger!"
Watching the car roar away, a competitive spirit surged within Tao Wen. He slammed his foot on the accelerator, and the fiery red Ferrari emitted a roar, like a ferocious beast, lunging towards the car.
The Ferrari was, after all, a high-end sports car, with superior performance.
At full speed, it quickly caught up to the modified car.
Inside the modified car.
"Damn it, how did this Ferrari catch up?"
The driver cursed under his breath, shouting to the back, "Watt, tell the kid with you to shut up! I think that little brat attracted it. We need to be careful; it could be a mutant."
"Come on, what's it got to do with me? No matter how loud the kid yells, it can't get through the car windows. It's because you're too cocky, driving so fast! He wants to race you! Mutant? You think there's a Wolverine everywhere? It's ridiculous. Slow down a bit, and he'll pass you right away." Watt retorted loudly.
"Race? Chishi has never been afraid of anyone. Ferrari, big deal? Watch me leave you in the dust!" Chishi glanced at the rearview mirror and shouted.
Then, he slammed on the accelerator, executed a very cool drift, and sped off into the distance.
Vroom! Vroom!
But just a few kilometers later, he was surprised to find the fiery red Ferrari catching up. It was hurtling towards him at an incredible speed, and it wouldn't be long before it overtook him!
"Damn, it's not even a professional!"
Chishi couldn't help but shout in alarm. His eyes quickly scanned the road ahead. The road was no longer a straight stretch; it had transformed into a series of tortuous curves, winding back and forth in a way that made his scalp tingle.
"Hey, I'll show you my skills! No matter how strong you are, how can you compare to me? Watch me take these turns at high speed. After this, you'll just be watching my taillights, filled with awe!"
Chishi yelled, continuing to accelerate towards the road.
"Chishi! Damn it! You're not going to race on this Devil's Pass, are you? Stop! You'll send us straight to hell! If you don't stop, I'll shove your head up your own ass!"
Watt roared in anger when he saw the winding road. He knew Chishi too well and knew that he was about to attempt something dangerous.
"Relax, my driving is nothing to worry about. I'm a top-tier racer. Now, prepare to witness a miracle!"
Chishi shouted wildly, his eyes blazing with a different kind of fervor.
With a roar, the car plunged directly onto the infamous Devil's Pass.
The car roared upwards, and Chishi began his frantic maneuvers. The modified manual transmission car displayed a frenetic rhythm in his hands.
Just then, the music inside the car became more intense.
Although the car narrowly passed each turn, it didn't brush against the mountain at all.
"Whoa!"
"Now for the part where I totally leave them behind!"
Upon reaching the last turn, Chishi violently swung the car. With an exaggerated drift, the car spun towards the final turn. Dust flew everywhere as the tires fiercely rubbed against the ground. The car then wildly burst out of the turn and onto the main road.
"Oh my god, hahahaha, I actually did it!"
"I successfully sped through Devil's Pass!"
Chishi burst out of Devil's Pass, immediately shouting at the top of his lungs. His eyes shone with a peculiar brilliance, revealing his excitement.
This Devil's Pass was quite famous; many racers had been injured here, or even lost their lives. Very few had succeeded.
He never expected to actually make it. Now, he really wanted to find a restaurant and pop some champagne to celebrate.
"Watt, I did it!"
Then, he yelled at Watt, who was behind him.
"You maniac, you're absolutely insane! If I ever get in your car again, I'm a complete idiot!"
Watt, who had nearly vomited everything he ate, roared in anger. He was furious about the experience, which had almost scared the soul out of him. He was completely enraged.
"Hey, buddy, aren't you proud of me? I know you are."
Chishi, with not a shred of self-awareness, continued to shout at the top of his lungs.
"Damn it!"
As he glanced in the rearview mirror, intending to check on the shadowless Ferrari, he was shocked to see a streak of fiery red suddenly dart past him, overtaking him.
This caused him to roar in anger, but no matter how he tried, he couldn't catch up to the Ferrari, only managing to shout in frustration.
The Ferrari's overtake was like a bucket of cold water dumped on his head, instantly turning his initial joy into nothingness.
It transformed into endless rage.
"Chishi, stop! Look, the Ferrari is pulling over! If you don't stop, we're doomed!" Watt suddenly yelled as Chishi's anger reached its peak.
"What... No good!"
Furious Chishi hadn't noticed the Ferrari stop, still flooring the accelerator. Only after the warning did he see the Ferrari lying across the road.
He slammed on the brakes, kicking up a fiery red display on the road.
Even with the timely braking, he was still hurtling towards the car in front at 80 miles per hour.
His face turned grim. At that speed, he couldn't be sure if he'd survive the impact. He could only hope the Ferrari would somehow move itself.
"What!"
Just when both were in a state of extreme panic, the Ferrari's door suddenly opened. A man with black hair and yellow skin stepped out. He immediately stretched out his hands and slammed them towards the car's front.
Their eyes widened in shock, and a sense of foreboding washed over them.
"Heave!"
With a deafening roar, Tao Wen's hands clamped onto the Ferrari's bumper. With a shout, he not only stopped the speeding car but also lifted it above his head.
The wheels spun wildly, shaking, but the car didn't budge.
"Down!"
His face flushed, Tao Wen threw the car downwards. The Ferrari lurched violently, glass shattering, the body shuddering before stopping.
"Don't move!"
The car doors suddenly opened, and two burly men, their heads bloodied, scrambled out. One of them was holding a boy. Both men yelled at Tao Wen, brandishing cold handguns aimed at him.
"Peter Parker? What's he doing here!"
Tao Wen's gaze fell on the boy. He was astonished to discover that the boy being held hostage was none other than the future Spider-Man, Peter, the one who had sold him flowers at the restaurant!
This couldn't help but make him puzzled. According to the original plot, Peter Parker should have been able to live peacefully for several years. How had he been inexplicably kidnapped? Could his arrival have altered Peter Parker's fate?
