Chapter 15 - What About You?

"Who told you to hold me like this?"

Su Ruyue said to Zhiran in anger while using force to get out of his arm, which was holding on to her waist. The faint blush on her cheek was already quite visible.

"Are you taking advantage of me?"

She asked, clearly annoyed.

Here she was, thinking about saving him from danger, and he was instead feeling her up sneakily. She didn't know Zhiran was like that.

"Tch… who is taking advantage? Didn't I just stop you from falling? Aren't you thinking too much?"

However, Zhiran clearly wasn't going to admit it and instead acted as if offended.

"You silly girl have really grown up now, huh? …just like there."

He said, signaling at those big melons protruding impressively, making Ruyue even more ashamed and angry.

But Zhiran didn't stop there. He smiled faintly and joked,

"Did you already forget we took a bath together in childhood? Now you are offended by just a touch?"

"Tch… tch… Ruyue, you've changed after entering the Divine Cauldron Sect."

He said, turning the situation directly against her.

He was the one who made Ruyue fall, he was the one who grabbed her waist without approval, and now he was acting offended?

Did he think Su Ruyue was stupid?

"…shsss!"

"You jerk, you've become smart. Are you judging me right now? Who is the one trying to help here?"

Sure enough, all the shame and shyness disappeared suddenly after Ruyue saw Zhiran's antic of blaming her.

So, she directly grabbed his right ear, even using a faint spiritual energy… making it turn red.

And as if that wasn't enough, she grabbed the left one too while tiptoeing due to her short height, forcing out a sharp moan of pain from Zhiran.

Only, along with the pain came the beautiful distraction of her massive bosom that nearly grazed his face because of Su Ruyue's closeness; something she herself didn't even notice.

'Won't her back hurt with such a massive weight?'

Amidst the sting in his ears, Zhiran couldn't help but have such ridiculous thoughts, as those melons really seemed far too much for her petite frame.

"Sigh… you think of such useless things all day, and that's exactly why your realm hasn't advanced."

Seeing Zhiran's ears glowing red, Su Ruyue's heart softened, and she finally released him.

She then exhaled lightly, her expression softening as she gave her advice seriously.

"In cultivation, a firm and steady mind is very important."

"What worth is there in a body of flesh and blood? If your realm doesn't rise, it will simply wither and rot away one day."

Putting jokes and other distractions aside, Su Ruyue was someone who genuinely cared for both Mo Zhiran and Mo Tianyu and wished for their well-being from the depths of her heart.

"If your talent is higher and you are strong enough, what girl would you not get?"

"You don't even have to run behind them; they will come running themselves. So, Zhiran, you need to set your priorities straight, understand?"

She said, giving her suggestion like an adult. She thought Zhiran was distracted due to his youth and wasn't keen on cultivation.

And this wasn't just a random conclusion she had. There were countless examples like that in the cultivation world.

Just in the Divine Cauldron Sect, she had heard many rumors of talented people wasting their potential in brothels and losing opportunities.

Not to mention, the honey trap was the most effective trick used by demonic cultivators.

She had to warn Zhiran out of concern after seeing his behavior.

"Then what about you?"

However, Zhiran wasn't some immature kid as she thought. He had lived two long lives before and knew everything that needed to be known at his age.

And precisely because of that, he also knew something that she didn't.

'Cultivation without a companion is too lonely.'

Zhiran couldn't help but recall his lonely life of cultivation that had ended with the Gold Core explosion.

Now that he thought about it, after leaving the Divine Cauldron Sect and leaving his clan, he had always been lonely.

It was to the point that even when he died, all the thoughts inside his head were revenge and power, nothing else.

Only when he saw Su Ruyue concerned for him did he realize that he, too, was human and had feelings.

He realized that cultivation without a purpose was meaningless.

So what if he became strong? So what if he lived longer than heaven?

If there was no one beside him to share the joy, he would be alone again.

To be honest, that mere thought managed to scare Zhiran, jolting his consciousness and sharpening his thoughts.

It was as if he had reached some small enlightenment all of a sudden.

Hence, rather than playing around, he couldn't help but ask Su Ruyue directly. He felt that even after being reborn, if he still played around like this, he should be ashamed.

He had even killed an elder at the late stage of Foundation Establishment in the Qi Condensation realm.

Why should he simp for a girl at all?

Just ask directly.

"What do you mean?"

Su Ruyue was once again stunned by Zhiran's odd question and asked, not understanding his motive.

"I mean, didn't you say that if my realm is higher and I am strong enough, I can get anyone?"

Seeing her confusion, Zhiran suddenly smiled, relaxed, came a little closer to her, and whispered lightly,

"Then, what about you? Can I get you if I do that?"

He asked again, making Ruyue a little flustered.

She didn't know why, but Zhiran seemed completely different to her all of a sudden.

If before he had been a shy boy who would at least listen to her, now he seemed reckless and bold.

"What the heck are you saying? Can't you see your situation? Why do you still have time to joke around?"

Not knowing how to react, Ruyue directly exploded in anger and tried to grab that red ear once again, trying to teach him a lesson.

"Ouch!"

Only this time, before her hand could grab his ear, it was caught by Zhiran's instead, who asked faintly once again,

"Su Ruyue, I'm serious. Can I get you if I become strong enough?"

"What if I enter the inner sect one month from now?"

"I think that's enough to show my potential. How about you become mine after that?"

"Deal?"

He said with a smile, specifying the condition this time since being "just strong" was too vague.

Since she was his childhood crush, he didn't mind having her for real in this life. It would save her from misfortune and make his wish come true, hitting two birds with one stone.
