I let out a small laugh, still feeling a strange mix of relief and disbelief. For the first time in years, I wasn't signing something that would trap me.
"Since I'm officially part of the company now," I said, tilting my head slightly, "does that mean I finally have the right to know who Mr. Lan really is?" I added softly, "Maybe… at least learn his real name?"
Lando avoided my gaze, clearing his throat before speaking. "I don't think so," he said. "Mr. Lan is a very private person. Most of the staff here don't know his identity, including the celebrities."
I went quiet for a moment before asking, "But you do, don't you?"
"I do," Lando said with a small nod. "I know him well enough. That's why he gave us a wedding gift."
