Out of the four who had descended into the underground bunker in the middle of nowhere, only three kept their eyes glued to the monitor, searching for answers in the Beast Index. While the others were distracted, Eira had other ideas. She wasn't interested in the screen, not really. Her reasons for coming down here were her own.
Jayden had noticed her wandering once or twice, but dismissed it as nothing more than a curious teenager exploring. They were all curious, after all, each searching for answers in their own way.
But Eira's pale blue eyes held something different. A faint glint of familiarity flickered in them as she moved from desk to desk, scanning every corner of the bunker like someone retracing steps they'd already taken.
Then she spotted it, an archive box on the far side of the room.
