Chapter 31 - Laplace’s Glasses

At nine o'clock in the morning, at the Thousand Eyes headquarters.

Under the guidance of Isabela, the shop attendant of Shiroyasha's Thousand Eyes store,

Aslan, forced by Kurousagi to wear a tight-fitting suit, arrived.

Shortly after, Aslan entered the reception room. After waiting a moment, a muffled voice mixed with the fatigue of someone just waking up could be heard.

"Let him in. Tsk, coming this early. Can't you be a little considerate and let me sleep longer?"

Isabela stepped aside, slid open the door, and invited him in.

"Please come in."

"Boss Shiroyasha, isn't it already past morning?"

Aslan entered the reception room and saw Shiroyasha still lying in bed, wearing a panda-patterned pajama.

He couldn't help but twitch his lips, then said,

"And isn't the auction supposed to start at ten?"

"Hah? Tsk, Isabela, why didn't you tell me?"

Shiroyasha stared at Isabela, the Thousand Eyes shop attendant, with disbelief. Yet, from her blinking eyes, a faint realization could be seen.

It seemed Shiroyasha had truly forgotten she was supposed to host this auction.

"My apologies, Lord Shiroyasha. I will reflect on this."

Isabela bowed slightly, showing she acknowledged her mistake. But she also looked slightly helpless.

What could she do? She was merely a shop attendant sent by her superior to supervise Shiroyasha.

"Whatever, you go out and prepare breakfast for me."

Shiroyasha said in a very "generous" tone. Yesterday, she had been showing off to others and accidentally drank too much.

Even now, her head still felt slightly dizzy.

Shiroyasha rubbed her eyes, gazing at Aslan with half-open eyes.

"Come here for a moment."

Aslan was slightly confused, not knowing why Shiroyasha suddenly called him.

Still, he walked closer, sat beside Shiroyasha's bed, and sniffed the air.

"The smell of alcohol is overwhelming."

The strong scent of alcohol immediately stung Aslan's nose, making him instinctively fan the air in front of him before feeling slightly more comfortable.

"Boss, how much alcohol did you drink last night?"

"You really make me proud."

Shiroyasha patted Aslan's shoulder with satisfaction. Yesterday had truly been the most enjoyable day she'd experienced in Little Garden.

Especially when she saw the expressions on Indra's, Queen Halloween's, Athena's, Zeus's faces—the gods' jealousy so intense it distorted their features.

That feeling was incredibly satisfying.

Especially Queen Halloween's face—the little slut who had stolen six of her Sun Authorities. Her envious expression was so intense her teeth nearly shattered.

It should be noted that Queen Halloween was famous in Little Garden for training heroes. The knights under her in Avalon were even exceptional heroes among Four-Digits.

She personally trained and gathered them.

Why else would she spend countless energy and resources training these heroes? Wasn't it to make herself proud?

Exchanges of interest among the elite were often conducted through Gift Games between representatives.

The status of an exceptional Four-Digit hero wasn't lower than most Three-Digit God Kings in their pantheons.

With these heroes, Queen Halloween could live very comfortably in the Lower Floors.

Only the shameless Greek divine group, where most main gods were stuck at exceptional Four-Digit, could rival Queen Halloween.

But now telling her that the SSR-class hero she painstakingly selected and trained—Shiroyasha went and obtained a UR-class savior? He also surpassed the Last Trial of Mankind and had a Boundary Spirit Status?

Who wouldn't be jealous? In retaliation, Shiroyasha was forced to drink vast amounts of divine wine.

She just didn't know why her whole body ached now, as if she'd just fought someone.

Well, more accurately, she'd been beaten by jealous people until their eyes turned red.

To make Shiroyasha drunk, they even brought out their private collections—divine wine made by Soma himself, Jade Nectar from the East...

Yet, a Star Spirit's physique was truly extraordinary. After drinking so much divine wine, Shiroyasha sobered up within a single night.

"Hahahaha, don't worry about the details. Today, I, your boss, will take you to see the world!"

Shiroyasha seemed not to hear Aslan's words, belched, and said contentedly.

Then Shiroyasha opened her eyes wide, stared at Aslan, held her chin, thought for a moment, then reached out and touched him.

"This outfit doesn't quite fit."

"The design is good, but the material is too poor."

As she said this, Shiroyasha clapped her hands, and a perfectly tailored black butler suit appeared in her hands.

"Change."

"Here?"

Aslan's mouth twitched. He looked around.

Wasn't this Shiroyasha's bedroom?

"Isn't this a bit inappropriate?"

Aslan asked with slight concern. It wasn't that he was afraid to change clothes, but he feared Shiroyasha would beat him once she sobered up.

Most importantly, Shiroyasha still looked drunk. Did she even realize what she was doing?

"Tsk, if I don't care, why are you worrying?"

Shiroyasha complained unhappily. Why was an adult man suddenly acting so sensitive here?

Was he sensitive? Aslan was thinking about his safety!

Then Shiroyasha clapped her hands again. The next second, before Aslan could even react, his clothes had already changed into a butler suit.

"Alright, now you look better."

Shiroyasha clapped her hands in satisfaction, but as she looked at Aslan, she felt something was missing.

"Oh right, his face is missing something."

As she said this, Shiroyasha pulled out a golden-rimmed monocle and placed it on Aslan.

[Gift: Laplace's Glasses

Crafted by the omniscient demon, the Demon of Laplace. Can identify most Gifts. Contains Thousand Eyes' public information database and has the ability to analyze certain information.]

After all, Aslan had only been in Little Garden for a few days, and he was about to attend the Thousand Eyes auction.

Being uninformed was extremely embarrassing.

For this, Shiroyasha had also made minor preparations. She had asked the Demon of Laplace to create omniscient glasses.

To cover Aslan's knowledge gaps. However, the upper limit of this item could only identify Five-Digit-level Gifts.

Or Gifts with public information.

Gifts above Four-Digit already had the ability to conceal themselves.

But even if it could only identify Five-Digit-level Gifts, this was already an extremely valuable and rare Gift.

More importantly, this item could also be useful when going to the outer worlds.

"Alright, now you won't have to worry about embarrassing me at the auction."

"Hmm, thank you, Boss."

Aslan didn't say much. He simply remembered this quietly in his heart.
