Chapter 100 - Heading to Berlin

Transferring Ultron's consciousness into the Celestial Puppet didn't require much effort from Han Yu. Once he set a specific concept in motion, the Green Lantern ring would handle the process automatically—it was a high-tech semi-automatic computational device.

Aside from inputting commands, the ring did everything on its own.

After setting up the consciousness transfer, Han Yu placed the Green Lantern ring in front of Ultron. Since the ring needed to continuously maintain the consciousness handover, and Han Yu didn't want to linger, he simply let it work by itself.

It was the first time he had actively taken off the ring. He wasn't worried about theft—the ring was directly bound to him via the general store system. Without his authorization, it was just a jade ring, probably not worth much.

Han Yu stepped out of the workspace, stretched lazily, and glanced upstairs.

"Lunch is unusually quiet today… looks like Wanda and Pietro are busy processing that serum. A bit boring."

Normally, at this time, the upstairs computer room would be filled with shouting—laughter, yelling, all noisy—but it added life to the store.

Now, with Ultron transferring his consciousness, and Wanda and Quicksilver upstairs occupied with the super-serum, the store felt unusually empty.

"Well, that's fine. Time to pick up the mutant project I've been putting off. Let's see how Professor X is doing."

Han Yu shook his head, left the store, and headed into the alley. Concentrating, he attempted to take off into the air.

"Go!"

But he remained rooted to the ground. The atmosphere suddenly felt awkward.

"Oh right, I took off the Green Lantern ring."

Han Yu scratched his head in embarrassment. He was so used to the ring that he had forgotten it now that he wasn't wearing it.

"This Death God Mark really should've given me flight…"

Suddenly unable to fly, he felt uncomfortable and started blaming the general store system. The Death God Mark only enhanced body and mind—it had nothing to do with flying.

Han Yu decided to contact Stark to arrange a private jet. Stark didn't ask questions and immediately gave him a phone number.

He had several jets, and Han Yu could use any of them. This number connected directly to a pilot who could take off anytime.

Han Yu raised an eyebrow—he didn't refuse. After all, building connections was important, and this was a small courtesy he could accept.

"Hm, I should prepare some everyday transport too. Just having a car won't do."

Han Yu stroked his chin. The private jet had now become his "daily transport," giving off the air of a wealthy playboy.

Before leaving, he downloaded an X-System from Ultron's computer onto his phone to track mutants. It wasn't ready for large-scale deployment in S.H.I.E.L.D., so he'd have to proceed step by step.

"Let's go!"

Berlin was six hours ahead of New York. It was just past 10 a.m. there when Han Yu's plane landed—already 4 p.m. local time.

He found a taxi and said, "Hello, please take me to Berlin First High School. Thank you."

"Sure."

Watching the cityscape change outside, Han Yu pondered what to say to Professor Charles Xavier. Suddenly, the driver turned off the main route. What should have been a half-hour drive now stretched into at least an hour.

After an hour, Han Yu frowned. "Driver, I thought the airport to First High School was less than thirty minutes. Why has it taken an hour?"

"Traffic. I took another route to avoid congestion," the driver answered casually, as though he'd done this countless times.

Han Yu rolled his eyes. He knew it was a lie—the route wasn't busy, and it wasn't tourist season. The driver was trying to overcharge him, a tactic he had encountered before.

Han Yu smiled slightly, choosing not to argue, and waited quietly for the driver to reach the destination.

They arrived at First High School around 5 p.m.

Han Yu didn't even glance at the meter. He fished a few bills from his pocket and handed them over.

"Keep the change for some eye drops," he said.

Before the driver could respond, Han Yu got out of the car.

Almost instantly, the driver's eyes started itching. In the next moment, tears poured out uncontrollably—he became a literal "crying man," face streaming with tears.

"Richard? Are you okay?"

Another driver recognized him and asked, concerned.

"I… I'm fine," Richard stammered, completely bewildered. He didn't understand why he was suddenly crying.

The onlookers were baffled too. Richard, normally a greedy and cunning man, had just overcharged a foreign customer. Could he be crying from success?

No. Not this way.

Han Yu, observing from afar, smiled faintly.

"Try to cheat me, huh? Cry all you want—but don't stop for at least half an hour."

Unbeknownst to Richard, Han Yu had secretly infused him with a "Storm Cry Potion," a punishment for his attempted overcharging. And now, Richard's dramatic, unstoppable tears were proof of Han Yu's clever retribution.
