"Before we head out, I want to ask… if I die in that world, what happens?" Han Yu asked.
Lisdade smiled. "You'll just return to your original world. And I won't be able to give you this quest again, so don't worry—you won't lose anything."
A faint flash of irritation flickered in Han Yu's eyes, barely noticeable. He quickly turned his head away so Lisdade wouldn't catch it.
"I'm ready. We can depart."
Han Yu rolled his wrists. He had spent nearly six days preparing, and if that wasn't considered cautious, then he really didn't know what was. Was he supposed to prepare even longer?
If someone prepared beyond this point, it wasn't a matter of caution anymore—it was a matter of whether their brain was still working properly.
"Good, good! Then let's head to a beginner's town first to buy some equipment. You can't go fight wearing clothes from your original world… even though it is very handsome."
Lisdade felt her nose heat up, and thin trickles of blood actually slipped out again—clearly because she was thinking about the body beneath Han Yu's clothes.
"Can you hurry it up?"
Han Yu rolled his eyes. Couldn't this goddess the system assigned him behave even a little more seriously? What was happening to her was usually something that happened to men. He hadn't reacted at all, yet the other party kept fantasizing nonstop.
No wonder the system gave him a mission that emphasized caution. If he were even a little careless, this goddess would probably get him killed.
"Sorry, sorry! I'm opening it now." Lisdade apologized repeatedly, looking a bit excited. Finally, they were about to depart, which made her genuinely happy."Gaia Brand, activate!"
The two stepped into the portal one after the other. When they appeared again, they were standing on a wide expanse of green grass. Not far away, herds of cattle and sheep wandered lazily. The sky was just as blue—nothing like a planet supposedly invaded by demonic forces.
"Enemies."
Han Yu's relaxed gaze sharpened instantly. He looked toward a certain spot—there, several dark green figures were hiding behind rocks, secretly watching him.
Hearing his words, Lisdade lifted her eyes. A faint glow covered them, like she had activated a telescope, and she peered toward that direction.
"Relax, relax. They're just a few goblins who like stealing things. They're considered beginner monsters here. Ordinary kids can take on three to five of them with a wooden stick. Hey… what are you doing?"
Her eyes froze.
A brilliant flame was rising from Han Yu's hand. In a single breath, the flames condensed into a several-foot-long broadsword, which he gripped tightly.
"You… what are you doing…?"
Lisdade asked, bewildered. She didn't know what spell this was, but it was definitely magic. To condense magical energy into a physical object wasn't just full-level fire magic—it required extremely strong flame affinity.
The fiery sword in his hand radiated intense heat. Han Yu didn't answer her. Holding the flame sword, he hurled it straight at the goblins.
The distance was barely a hundred meters, yet by the time the flame sword fell, it had expanded into a massive blade tens of meters long, crashing down on the goblins.
A pillar of blazing fire shot into the sky—shocking Lisdade for a thousand years.
"Was… was that a full-power move? It had to be, right?! He used a full-power move on a few level-one goblins—what is wrong with this hero?!"
Lisdade's face was full of disbelief. She thought it was over—until Han Yu overlapped his hands, rotated them once, and when they separated, four or five smaller flame swords spun between his palms.
"Kill."
Han Yu growled softly. With a push of his palms, the swords shot out, leaving trails of fire in the air before expanding into giant swords over ten meters long, slamming around the previous impact point.
Even if the goblins had miraculously survived the first strike, there was no surviving this. Han Yu had sealed off every escape route.
When the smoke cleared, nothing remained at the goblins' previous location except a charred patch of earth. Not even a pebble. Those goblins didn't even leave ashes.
Lisdade stared blankly."Hey, there was no need to go that far for a few goblins, okay? I know it's your first time here, so you're cautious, but listen—one of your skills is Ability Appraisal, right? You can check their stats. Use it first next time before attacking."
Han Yu replied, "I checked. They were level-one goblins. All their stats were single digits."
"You knew their stats were low and still did that?!" Lisdade was shocked yet again.
"There's always a chance they were demons sent by the Demon King in disguise." Han Yu felt this was absolutely reasonable. He was a veteran RPG player—he'd seen plenty of early-game enemies disguised as freebies for leveling.
But now that he was in a real version of those worlds, even without the mission telling him to be cautious, he would still behave this way. He had seen too many protagonists who skipped finishing blows, only for it to cause huge problems later.
Those moments existed to advance the plot—but watching them always made Han Yu angry. Did the story really need to be pushed along by such brain-dead setups?
"Yeah… probably needs a few more shots." Han Yu rubbed his chin and nodded to himself.
"Eh?"
Lisdade was stunned as she saw more flame swords appear in Han Yu's hands. He fired them toward the spot where the goblins had long since ceased to exist. This level of bombardment was something you'd reserve for sub-commanders below the Demon King.
Yet here she was, watching him unleash it on a patch of dirt where a few level-one goblins used to stand. The sight was beyond shocking.
The intensity of his attacks, and the absurdity of what he was doing, shocked Lisdade for a thousand years.
After a few minutes, Han Yu finally stopped. Suddenly, he clutched his head and sucked in a cold breath.
"Tch… feels like I used a bit too much of my mana bar."
"That's what happens when you throw out so many big moves for no reason. Your MP must've dropped a ton. Let me see how much you have left…"
Lisdade hurried over. She stared at the barren scorched ground, speechless, but as a goddess she still fulfilled her duty and opened Han Yu's status window.
"What the—what kind of stats are THESE?!?!"
[Name: Han Yu][LV: 25][HP][MP: 120][Attack / Defense / Speed / Magic Growth: 299][Special Skills: Flame Magic (Lv. MAX), EXP Gain Rate (Lv.4), Ability Appraisal (Lv.5)]…
In terms of level, reaching 25 after six days of constant physical training was already unbelievable. But the stats—each one over a thousand—were comparable to the Four Generals under the Demon King!
"Completely ridiculous!"
