Chapter 169 - Thunder Colossus

This move concentrated most of Thor's divine power. The Thunder Colossus, towering at seven or eight meters, looked down upon them, as if a god was gazing upon mortals, making resistance almost impossible.

The Asgardians, upon seeing the Thunder Colossus, revealed excited expressions. Even from a distance, they could feel the immense power emanating from the giant, a true display of divine might!

The forces of Poseidon, especially the Frost Giants and Fire Giants, were stunned upon seeing the Thunder Colossus.

Both had, to varying degrees, interacted with Thor. In their minds, Thor was nothing more than a muscle-bound oaf who swung a hammer. He was difficult to deal with, but certainly not something to be feared.

But now, witnessing the Thunder Colossus, a deep sense of dread washed over them. They exchanged glances, and both saw the surprise in the other's eyes.

The Fire Giant murmured, "Such potent energy. If we were to take this head-on, we'd likely perish."

The Frost Giant clenched his fists, unwilling to accept it. In the next moment, he could only sigh helplessly, saying, "The current Thor has improved so much. He's a completely different person compared to before. If he had shown this level of strength earlier, he would have been the god-king of Asgard long ago."

"But we must trust Poseidon. I don't believe Poseidon will lose to this Thor," the Fire Giant said.

The Frost Giant nodded. Poseidon, the king of a realm, second only to Odin, wouldn't lose to Thor.

Both of them were reassuring themselves.

Not far away, a hint of seriousness appeared in Poseidon's eyes. He felt a sense of threat emanating from the Thunder Colossus above Thor's head. This attack was not to be underestimated!

Poseidon's hand gestured towards a certain direction, his five fingers slightly curved, a gesture that was somewhat perplexing.

Seeing this, Thor frowned. He was all too familiar with this action; he made the same gesture when summoning Mjolnir.

The next moment, an object flew in from afar, so fast that it created a sonic boom in mid-air. It was swiftly grasped by Poseidon, and everyone could finally see what it was.

The object was a combination of gold and sapphire blue. The slender handle was mainly blue, with streaks of gold spiraling down from top to bottom. Tiny scales, each no bigger than half a fingernail, were subtly visible on the handle, evenly distributed.

The Trident of Poseidon's head had a main prong about the length of an adult's forearm, while the two side prongs were thinner and flatter, curving slightly inward.

"That's Poseidon's personal weapon, the Trident of Poseidon!" exclaimed a knowledgeable Asgardian.

Someone chimed in, "I heard that Poseidon found a piece of sea-iron a long time ago and had the previous Dwarf King forge it. Its weight alone is so great that ten strongmen working together couldn't lift it!"

"Good heavens, and he's wielding it so casually! It's terrifying!" another person said.

Poseidon casually swung the trident a few times, the spearhead pointing towards the ground, and then held it behind his back, smiling at Thor. "You can consider yourself to have fought valiantly, since I had to bring out this trident."

Fixing his gaze on the long trident, Thor didn't dare to relax. Poseidon had already taken two of his attacks with just his body, his defense far exceeding his expectations. Now he had his own exclusive weapon.

His entire demeanor wasn't sharp or aggressive, but rather it gave the impression that he was one with the trident, always ready to launch an attack, and every move would be a fatal blow.

It seems this guy becoming Poseidon wasn't for nothing, but the die is cast, I have no choice!

Thor roared, and nearly eighty percent of his thunderous power was now infused into the Thunder Colossus.

The Thunder Colossus opened its maw and roared. Ordinary warriors felt their bodies go numb and were unable to move just from the sound of its roar.

Thor ran towards Poseidon. Lightning flashed in the Thunder Colossus's hand above him, solidifying into a giant Mjolnir. Despite its size, its speed didn't diminish at all, and it quickly arrived in front of Poseidon, the massive Mjolnir smashing down towards him.

A brilliant sapphire light flashed in Poseidon's eyes. The Trident of Poseidon in his hand also erupted with a powerful energy, instantly solidifying into a crystalline layer on its surface.

Visible blue energy swirled around his body. With a low shout from Poseidon, he held the Trident and thrust it towards Thor's Mjolnir.

A trident against a hammer.

An extremely powerful energy wave spread outwards, causing the ground and buildings it passed to crack. Fortunately, the main hall was far more robust than the outer buildings; otherwise, this strike alone could have injured half of the Asgardians.

Han Yu would start his Chinese-style rant when he saw this, "Look what you've protected!"

The power of thunder within the Thunder Colossus had now been completely poured towards Poseidon. The thunderous pressure that erupted made the Fire Giant and the Frost Giant, who were watching from afar, realize that if they were to take this blow, they would definitely be turned to ashes!

"Die!" Thor roared, and the lightning on his body surged towards the Thunder Colossus relentlessly.

The Thunder Colossus's body also became increasingly solidified and sturdy, and its attacks grew stronger.

Boom!

A loud explosion, accompanied by streaks of sapphire and silver energy ripples, erupted from the point of contact, covering the entire Asgardian Sanctuary.

Many people were knocked back and thrown away by the energy impact, falling to the ground and vomiting mouthfuls of blood. This included the Asgardians.

The energy dissipated. Thor knelt on the ground, the divine power within him was rapidly dissipating. He felt his eyes growing extremely heavy, as if he would collapse and fall unconscious the moment he relaxed.

"Where, where is he?"

Thor struggled to stand up from the ground, but his legs were already bent out of shape, trembling in place. As soon as he stood up, he looked up ahead, and a fist came at him, slamming hard upwards from his chin.

Thor's sturdy physique, weighing nearly two hundred pounds, was actually sent flying by this punch, flipping several times before landing and smashing a crater into the ground.

"Impossible!" Heimdall in the main hall stared at the scene before him, his eyes widening.

In the place where the two attacks had collided, there stood a person, perfectly fine. He was now brushing off the dust, his clothes somewhat tattered from the impact, but he was unharmed.

This person standing there was Poseidon!
