Chapter 170 - Fierce Siblings

If someone were observant, they'd notice a faint blue energy on Neptune's body, slowly dissipating. This wasn't his divine power.

"I actually liked this outfit. You ruined it for me."

Neptune walked towards Thor, kicking him in the jaw as the latter struggled to get up. "Go to hell!"

The kick sent Thor flying over ten meters, carving a long furrow in the ground. His already dislocated organs were now in even greater turmoil, causing him to cough up a mouthful of blood.

His eyes were even more unfocused, his mind reeling. He was at the end of his rope, clinging to life by a thread, refusing to close his eyes.

Neptune's flowing hair was now somewhat disheveled. He thought to himself, This kid is really strong. That Thanos guy's energy shield really came in handy, otherwise I would have been injured by that last attack.

The faint blue energy he had a few seconds ago was provided by Thanos, from the energy of his Cosmic Heart.

Even a fragmented Cosmic Heart could withstand Thor's desperate attack. If it were complete, he couldn't imagine how terrifying it would be.

"Well, that's… that's it. I can still fight! I can fight you all day."

Thor struggled to his feet, suddenly remembering something a friend had said. He blurted it out, and then started laughing at himself.

The laughter triggered the injuries in his body, making him cough up more blood.

"Fight, huh? I'll let you fight!"

Neptune strode forward, his Trident held horizontally. He slammed it heavily into Thor's abdomen, sending him flying and spinning before landing pathetically on the ground.

"I'm not going to waste any more time on you. Once you're dead, Asgard is finished. I will be the new king of Asgard. Too bad you won't be around to see it!"

A hint of ferocity flashed in Neptune's eyes as he raised his Trident high. The cold, sharp point was ready to sever Thor's head at any moment.

"Die!"

The Trident plunged downwards. Before it could even touch Thor, a rainbow of light shot from afar, slamming directly into Neptune and sending him flying dozens of meters.

Seeing the multicolored light, Heimdall's eyes widened instantly. He was all too familiar with this light; it was the light of the Bifrost!

The light dissipated, revealing four figures before everyone's eyes: two women and two men. One of the men, who was holding a battle axe aloft, lowered his hand, smiling as he looked at Neptune, who was far away and wore an expression of disbelief.

"Thor!"

Loki's eyes widened. He hurried to help Thor, who was lying on the ground. Seeing the latter's miserable state, Loki's teeth ground together with a crunch. He had never seen Thor so badly injured.

This was a first.

"Ah... Loki, it's you. You're back. Looks like you brought reinforcements," Thor's eyes were swollen beyond recognition, squinting as he looked at Loki. His face wore a smile that was uglier than a cry, and speaking caused him to cough up several mouthfuls of blood.

Rage now filled Loki's mind. His gaze at Neptune conveyed only one message: he wanted him dead!

"Sis, I'll take care of Thor. Can you handle him?" Loki didn't look up, but Han Yu and the others knew who he was talking to.

Hela looked down at the severely injured Thor, then at Neptune in the distance, holding the Trident, and nodded in satisfaction. She thought to herself, Not bad, he managed to force that old man to use the Trident. My brother is quite strong.

"Since you're calling me sis, I'll reluctantly help you out. You better take care of that kid."

Hela's face showed an expression of enjoyment. As soon as she returned to Asgard, she felt divine power constantly surging within her. She brushed her hair back, and the black hair that had been falling on her shoulders transformed into several upward-curling horns, like a crown.

Coupled with the Celestial God Battle Armor she was wearing, she looked even more imposing.

"This battle armor is really amazing; it can even help me absorb energy!" Hela thought to herself. The energy she usually needed a minute to absorb was now absorbed in just ten seconds, making her endurance even more durable.

Hela looked at Neptune in the distance and said, "Njord, I never expected to meet you again when you were invading our Asgard. Looks like you weren't scared enough before, huh?"

Neptune's face looked somewhat displeased. He thought, How did this woman appear here? Shouldn't she be imprisoned in hell?

The two knew each other well, having clashed thousands of years ago. Back then, Hela was already an invincible female war god, slaughtering many Vanir Gods warriors and even going up against Neptune.

Although Hela didn't win against Neptune back then, she was only slightly inferior, not completely defeated. Neptune found this increasingly energetic female devil somewhat annoying.

Others would become discouraged when they fell behind, but she was the opposite; the moment she felt she was losing, she fought even harder. Neptune felt he could kill her back then, but it would have cost him an arm or a leg, because Hela's fighting style was simply too brutal.

Also surprised was Heimdall. He was also a person from Hela's era. He had witnessed Odin leading Hela in conquering the Nine Realms, and later, Odin sending the Valkyrie to subdue Hela.

Heimdall was one of the few present who knew Hela's strength.

"She actually brought this woman back; Asgard is saved!"

Heimdall was secretly delighted. Hela's return wasn't necessarily all good, but at least he could be sure that this woman would never hand Asgard over to others.

Before, she was the most difficult enemy to deal with; now, she was the most reliable teammate!

Hela sauntered towards Neptune, her hands placed on her waist. With a twist, two long swords materialized in her grasp. Each step exuded immense pressure.

Looking at the menacing Hela, Neptune's expression soured. He had thought that with Odin's loss of divine power, Asgard had no one to fear. He hadn't expected Hela to appear after Thor.

The combat strength of these siblings was terrifying, especially Hela. Having fought for a thousand years, her combat experience was incredibly rich, surpassing even Neptune's.

Furthermore, the Asgardians' characteristic was that their strength would grow with age. Unless they died of old age, the combat power of senior Asgardians could easily reach the level of ruling a planet, standing undefeated.
