Chapter 22 - THE END...THE BEGINNING

"How could you?" Zhang Lei shouted as he grabbed his mace and charged at me.

"We were all pawns in his game," I replied calmly.

I allowed him to pass right through me. My body became like a shadow that no longer depended on a surface.

"Why does Li Ming also have a Claw tattoo?" Li Na asked, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Before anyone could react, the earth shook violently.

Thousands of beasts charged toward us.

Li Na stumbled backward while Zhang Lei rushed forward to meet them.

"We can't win. I've read about them," May said nervously.

"Beasts of Chaos. They appear whenever order has been disrupted, usually accompanied by the Heavenly Dragon."

"The Heavenly Dragon?" Li Na repeated, her face turning pale.

"This might be the end of the world," she said as tears streamed down her face.

I stepped forward and stretched out my hands.

Immediately, the shadows beneath every beast materialized, wrapping around them and holding them in place. Within seconds, the life force of every single beast was completely drained.

Before anyone could process what had happened, a massive wave of flames erupted across the battlefield, burning everything in its path.

"It's the Unquenchable Flames!" Li Na cried out.

Without hesitation, I formed a massive wall of shadows, shielding everyone from the inferno while absorbing every last trace of the flames.

Everyone froze in shock.

Their eyes widened as they struggled to comprehend what had just happened.

Then the Heavenly Dragon appeared.

Its enormous body towered above everything else, and each footstep caused the earth to tremble violently.

"Absolute Blackness," I said calmly.

Instantly, the Heavenly Dragon was engulfed in complete darkness.

Its powers ceased to function.

Its magic could no longer manifest.

It could not even move.

The dragon stared around in confusion.

It opened its mouth and attempted to breathe fire, but nothing happened.

No form of magic could function within Absolute Blackness.

No attack—physical or magical—could be used effectively.

Slowly, I began absorbing both the life force and power of the Heavenly Dragon.

Moments later, it died.

"I knew you were powerful, but this..." Yin's voice echoed within my mind.

"You just absorbed everything from the Heavenly Dragon. Impressive."

"You are far more powerful than we ever expected."

"We were supposed to control you, but now you possess more power than both Yin and Yang combined."

"You are becoming something else entirely."

"You are more like the Void itself now."

"You simply need to understand what you are."

"Because you are no longer someone who possesses power."

"You are power itself."

"Far beyond what anyone could ever comprehend."

The voice faded away.

Everything returned to normal.

May and the others stared at me in confusion.

While they tended to their wounds, I explained everything to May.

Even after hearing my story, she still found it difficult to believe.

Wei perched quietly on my shoulder.

"This is all too much for Zhang Lei and me to understand," Li Na said.

"We'll be moving into the city and trying to restart our lives."

She and Zhang Lei slowly walked away together.

"How about us?" May asked.

I looked at her for a moment.

"We'll return to the place where I grew up with my parents and rebuild it."

"If that's okay with you."

May smiled.

Every night after that, the voices of Yin and Yang continued teaching me about my existence.

Peace finally returned.

For the first time, I began to truly understand what I had become.

Using a portion of the energy I had accumulated, I restored dead plants, healed the land, and revived abandoned farmlands.

But I knew I wouldn't stay there forever.

There was still a vast world waiting beyond the horizon.

And my story was only just beginning.
