"Yin Ge, you have to teach me! How did you manage to win over that ice-cold beauty?" Oscar asked, his eyes filled with eager anticipation. "Please, teach me."
Ye Yin patted Oscar's shoulder with the air of a wise master. "You want to learn?"
Oscar nodded vigorously.
"Alright, then I'll show you," Ye Yin said with a grin. "Watch closely and learn well. A true grandmaster always maintains the heart of an apprentice."
With a sudden burst of speed, Ye Yin caught up to Ning Rongrong. When she saw him approach, her expression soured, and she let out a cold snort. Ye Yin didn't say a word. He just silently activated his first Spirit Ability.
A soft white light enveloped Ning Rongrong.
"First Spirit Ability, Blessing: Smooth Breathing (Intensity: Level 3). Duration: Twenty minutes."
The stated effect of the blessing wasn't the important part. What mattered was the special, unwritten side effect that came with his ability.
"Ah~" Ning Rongrong, who had been running smoothly, suddenly gasped. Her entire body went weak, and she stumbled forward, about to fall flat on her face.
In a flash, Ye Yin was there to catch her, sweeping her into his arms. Ning Rongrong was trembling all over, her face flushed crimson. She had no idea what was happening. One moment she was running, and the next, a flash of white light had sent a sudden, intensely stimulating jolt through her entire body. How? she thought, panicking. I didn't even touch myself... but it was so...
"Ye Yin, you..."
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +25!]
Another flash of white light washed over her.
"First Spirit Ability, Blessing: Spirit Ability Intensity Increased (Intensity: Level 3). Duration: Five hours."
"Ah! No~" Ning Rongrong gasped again, her body going completely limp as she clung to Ye Yin. "I can't take it anymore... please, stop..."
Ye Yin smiled down at her. "I'm just helping you finish the run faster. The Dean did say we could use our Spirits. Do you still need another blessing?"
Ning Rongrong pleaded, her voice breathy. "No more, no more... I really can't take it anymore."
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +25!]
Ye Yin helped her back onto her feet. "If you don't want it, then fine. Hurry up and run." As he set her down, he gave her a firm slap on her bottom.
"Ouch!" Ning Rongrong yelped, stumbling forward. Her steps were clearly unsteady now, and she felt as if all the strength had been drained from her body.
"Run quickly," Ye Yin warned. "Otherwise, I'll have to help you again."
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +26!]
"I'm running, I'm running!" she said hastily.
Ye Yin casually walked back to Oscar. "How was it? Did you learn anything?"
Oscar just shook his head repeatedly, completely bewildered. He was sure he had been watching carefully, but in the blink of an eye, Ning Rongrong had somehow ended up in Ye Yin's arms, blushing and flirting. Oscar had seen many masters at picking up girls—he even considered himself one, and Dai Mubai was a true casanova—but this was on another level. This was genius. He also felt a pang of jealousy. He had wanted to pursue Ning Rongrong, but now it seemed like Ye Yin had already claimed her.
Ding!
[Resentment from Oscar +15!]
"Did you learn anything?" Ye Yin asked again.
"I didn't even see what you did," Oscar admitted.
Ye Yin sighed dramatically. "Then should I demonstrate it for you again?"
Oscar hastily shook his head. "No, no! Brother, just tell me what I should do!" If Ye Yin demonstrated again, he was sure they'd end up in bed together, and he'd still be left in the dust.
"What to do?" Ye Yin said, looking at him with disappointment. "You're hopelessly stupid. You need to learn to use your own strengths and advantages. What's your biggest advantage? Isn't it your Spirit? I just used the unique characteristics of my own Spirit."
Oscar pondered this for a moment, then nodded with newfound determination. "Good! Yin Ge, I'll go try it now!"
He quickly ran up to Ning Rongrong's side. "Rongrong, you must be tired from running. I have a Big Recovery Sausage that can restore your stamina. Have one! I guarantee it's delicious and effective."
Ning Rongrong, still flustered and agitated from her encounter with Ye Yin, frowned at him. "Get lost! I have my own recovery items! You want one?!"
Oscar was utterly stunned by her harsh reply. He froze in place, at a complete loss for words, and watched as she ran far ahead of him. He dejectedly returned to Ye Yin and explained what had happened.
Ye Yin looked at him with profound disappointment. "I'm telling you, you're just pure trash."
"Then how should I have responded?" Oscar sighed.
Ye Yin kicked him lightly on the butt. "You're an idiot. Obviously, you should have said yes!"
"That's possible?" Oscar asked, bewildered. "No way."
Ye Yin just shook his head. "You still have so much to learn. Here, give me a Big Sausage." He took a recovery sausage from Oscar's hand and jogged over to Ning Rongrong.
"I have a Big Sausage," he said smoothly. "Want some? Guaranteed to be very effective."
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +15!]
"And if you don't have one, then it's not effective?" she retorted, assuming he was making a crude joke.
Ye Yin shook his head, playing innocent. "If you don't have one, of course it's not effective."
Ning Rongrong suddenly froze. She turned her head and stared at him, then at the sausage in his hand, and her face went blank. "You're... talking about Oscar's Big Recovery Sausage?"
Ye Yin nodded. "Of course. What did you think I was talking about?"
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +25!]
She fell silent, her face burning with embarrassment.
"Oh!" Ye Yin suddenly exclaimed, his eyes wide with mock surprise. "I never would have guessed! Ning Rongrong, you're actually that kind of person! Tsk, tsk, tsk." He shook his head dramatically. "Who would have thought... it truly surprises me. This is simply a decline in public morality, a degeneration of our ethics! The hearts of men are not what they used to be!"
Ning Rongrong instantly panicked and reached out to cover his mouth. Ye Yin took a step back, dodging her hand. "What do you think you're doing?" His first spirit ring flashed.
"Ouch!" Ning Rongrong cried out as another jolt went through her, and she stumbled to the ground. "You... What are you doing? I was wrong..."
Ye Yin crossed his arms, looking down at her. "Rongrong," he said, his voice low and dangerous, "you wouldn't want others to know you're this kind of person, would you? The dignified little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School... my, my. If word of this got out, who knows what the outside world would think of your esteemed clan."
Ning Rongrong's beautiful eyes glared up at him. "You... you're threatening me! I'm not afraid of threats!"
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +35!]
Ye Yin didn't respond to her. He just turned and called out, "Oscar, come over here for a second. I have something to tell you."
Ning Rongrong scrambled to her feet. "Wait a minute!" she cried out in panic. "Wait, don't tell anyone!"
Ding!
[Resentment from Ning Rongrong +36!]
