Tuesday.
To the sound of the alarm clock, Mochizuki Yo gradually woke up.
As his consciousness cleared, the soreness in his limbs gradually transmitted to his brain.
"Damn it, I really don't want to go to school!"
He struggled to get out of bed and after washing up.
Mochizuki walked towards school with heavy steps, his pace slower than usual.
Mochizuki successfully entered the school just a second before the gate closed.
"That was close, I almost overslept."
When he got to the classroom, if the sensei was already there, he could just say he went to the restroom. Generally speaking, the sensei wouldn't blame him. Mochizuki calculated in his mind.
"Ah!!!"
Mochizuki gave a small cry and immediately turned around, because someone had patted him, giving him a big scare.
It turned out to be Shizuka Hiratsuka.
"You brat, you're late!"
"Miss Shizuka, you scared me to death!" Mochizuki said with lingering fear. How could this person walk without making a sound!
"Hmph, whose fault is it that you came so late."
"You're late too," Mochizuki muttered softly.
Shizuka Hiratsuka went to a matchmaking party with her good friends last night, and the result, of course, was no result.
Then she went drinking, which is why she was so late today.
With a 'bang', Shizuka Hiratsuka punched Mochizuki directly on the shoulder.
"It's been too long since I disciplined you, hasn't it?"
"Seriously, sensei? You're hitting me as soon as we meet."
Mochizuki felt wronged, showing a pained expression. His arm was still sore, and he got another punch.
Shizuka Hiratsuka's face was strange; she didn't use much force, but seeing Mochizuki's pained expression didn't seem fake, so she thought it was because it had been too long since she hit him, and she didn't control her strength well.
"Ahaha, you're just too weak. Alright, alright, don't look so wronged."
"I won't hold your tardiness against you, but the first period is my class," Shizuka Hiratsuka said threateningly.
"Got it..."
Alas, when under someone's roof, one must bow one's head.
"Did you participate properly in club activities!"
"Of course, I went every day," Mochizuki said guiltily. He left early every day and didn't go yesterday, so how could he not feel guilty?
Shizuka Hiratsuka was very satisfied with Mochizuki's answer, thinking her decision back then was truly brilliant.
"Is that so? Don't lie to me, I'm going to ask Yukinoshita."
"You can ask her all you want."
...
Watching Mochizuki Yo enter the classroom a step ahead of Shizuka Hiratsuka, Shiina Mahiru breathed a sigh of relief for him, not expecting Mochizuki to be so timely.
Mochizuki listened attentively to Shizuka Hiratsuka's class, then started slacking off and successfully got through today's lessons.
Thinking about Shizuka Hiratsuka's words this morning, he headed to the Service Club.
Mochizuki knocked on the door, then pushed it open and entered.
After all, they were so familiar, and he was the only member.
As soon as he entered, Mochizuki felt two gazes fixed on him.
They were Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama.
He was slightly confused as to why Yui Yuigahama arrived faster than him.
"The air conditioning is a bit cold today!"
No one answered.
Mochizuki walked to his seat, slowly sat down, and prepared to take out his phone.
"Why are you both staring at me?" Mochizuki spoke again.
Yukinoshita's gaze was cold, while Yui Yuigahama's was a bit worried.
It turned out it wasn't the room that was cold, but the atmosphere.
"Wangyue Member, aren't you going to explain yourself?" Yukinoshita spoke, her aura a little intimidating.
"Explain?"
Seeing the bewildered Mochizuki, Yui Yuigahama prompted, "We agreed to go to the Home Economics club yesterday..."
After saying that, she glanced at Yukinoshita, afraid she would get angry.
Hiss!
So that's what it was, Mochizuki finally remembered.
After the weekend, and being tired and busy yesterday, he had indeed forgotten about this matter.
"So you were waiting for me yesterday?" Mochizuki asked sheepishly.
"Yes, we waited for a full twenty minutes."
"I'm sorry, Yui Yuigahama. And, Yukinoshita." Mochizuki put his hands together and bowed his head, apologizing sincerely.
Seeing Mochizuki apologize, Yukinoshita's cold face relaxed slightly and she gave a cold snort, while Yui Yuigahama breathed a sigh of relief.
"So, what are we doing today?"
"Continuing training in the Home Economics classroom."
Yui Yuigahama felt a bit embarrassed, as yesterday's results were not satisfactory.
They quickly arrived at the Home Economics classroom.
Hmm, it's the smell of a kitchen, you can faintly smell a bit of sesame oil.
Yukinoshita skillfully put on an apron.
Yui Yuigahama was a bit clumsy, but also managed to put on an apron, though the knot she tied was a bit messy, she wondered how she would take it off later.
"Where's mine?"
Seeing that only two aprons were prepared, Mochizuki asked.
It seemed that Yukinoshita still held dissatisfaction over Mochizuki's bailing yesterday, and she spoke mercilessly.
"Oh? I'm sorry, no one is anticipating your cooking skills. You just need to help with tasting and giving feedback."
"That suits me perfectly!"
Yukinoshita took out the ingredients that needed refrigeration from the refrigerator: cream, eggs, milk...
She also washed the pots, bowls, spoons, and various cooking utensils that had been prepared nearby.
Yui Yuigahama felt somewhat embarrassed watching Yukinoshita bustling about, wanting to help but unable to find a way to pitch in.
Mochizuki, however, watched with interest, as he had also tried cooking before, although it was a complete failure.
Soon, Yukinoshita methodically prepared all the ingredients for making the dish.
"Come here."
She was, of course, not calling Mochizuki.
"Oh, okay." Yui Yuigahama obediently came to the spot next to Yukinoshita.
"Following the steps I taught you, repeat it."
"Yes!" She sounded full of enthusiasm.
