Vanessa's eyes turned red as she recovered from the shock and glanced at Marcel, her hands still on the slapped face.
"What do you think you are doing? Disgracing me in front of everyone, I asked you to apologise and you dare defy me." Marcel barked, his eyes angry.
"That's good for her, she should know her place." Anna chimed in, grinning.
"Marcel, I..... want what's best for you. It's my duty to protect you." Vanessa shot back.
"I know that, but this isn't protection. You clearly have misunderstood Donald and here you are, claiming to be right." Marcel said, pointing at Donald.
"Don't you get it, Marcel? Why would I ever want to lie to you? You told me I am special to you, don't you trust me?" Vanessa's tone was soft, tears still in her blue eyes.
Marcel widened his eyes.
"Hey Vanessa, I don't know what exactly is wrong with you, but I think it's time you put an end to this drama. C'mon, apologise now, otherwise you might just get fired by Marcel." Donald spoke quickly.
